Didn't know there were haunted houses for other holidays?! It's a small building hiding in the corner of the parking lot. GPS can get confused trying to navigate here. VIP tickets were about $35 each, but you get to jump the regular line. Once you're in, it's about ~30 minutes to get through. The employees' makeup and costumes were well done. They were friendly and didn't touch or harass you. The haunted house itself was decent. It wasn't crowded, so you didn't have people constantly bumping into you. They had cool effects and decor, it was around St Patrick's day so killer leprechauns everywhere! read more

Wow they sure have changed a lot since I came here years ago. They have bathrooms now and food. The entertainment is way better too now, more awesome characters. I barely get scared but one got me good. Too funny! Love the dancing on both stages. Very cool. Chainz got a bit big headed, I wanted a pic of him and he ignored me. Oh well whatever. The haunted house itself, and the atmosphere is big energy and very entertaining and a great time! Unfortunately, when I was in line purchasing tickets, a first responder and his children were in front of me and it appeared that the girls in the ticket booth were giving him a hard time to get in with his family. I understand nowadays everybody has their hands out looking for free everything however a first responder/firefighter is a pretty important and respectable job- especially if it is a first responder for the city that the haunted house is part of. In my opinion, the whole family should get in no question and with no difficulties. I understand it's a business and the goal is to make money, but I also know that if there's an emergency, those are the first people who are called and come to the scene. I think it's a nice gesture to thank them for the work that they do in the community and to help save peoples lives. read more

This is hands-down the best haunted attraction in the Chicagoland area. I came for my first time this season and brought back my mom and sister. The house feels like it keeps on going and going, and its pure sensory overload (in the best way) -- there are even smells! So many talented actors around every corner, too. I went to the Disburbia Haunted House tonight in Downers Grove. I purchased 2 VIP tickets online for a cost of $42.99 apiece. With service fees, the total was $98.88. I arrived at 6:25 pm. There was no one in line and not many people in the parking lot. At about 6:40, some folks started to get in line. We went to the VIP line and were the only two in the VIP line. As it turns out, because I arrived early, I would have been first in line and thus I did not need to purchase the VIP tickets which cost an additional $13.00. My takeway is that if you arrive at least 30 minutes early (it opens at 7:00 pm), there is no need to pay for VIP. Maybe next weekend, Halloween weekend, will be different. The haunted house was okay. Because I bought VIP tickets, there was no wait time and we were the first to go in (they let us in at about 6:50 p.m.) but those who didn't pay the extra fee were directly behind us. The tour of the haunted house was about 20 minutes. I expected it to be longer. It was somewhat scary. It didn't get my heart racing. I took my 12 year old nephew. He jumped a few times which was fun to see. Overall, for $30.00 (before taxes and fees when purchasing on-line) the experience was okay but should be longer. The actors were okay. Next year, I'll try a different place that hopefully is longer and a bit more interesting. read more

I went to this haunted house for the first time tonight for opening weekend on Saturday 10/4 - it was just an OKAY haunted house. Decorations inside were great, a lot of the theming was cool inside, but I thought the actors/actresses were just okay, nothing amazing at all. The house was very short in my opinion only like 20 minutes long..way too short especially when you have houses in Illinois like dungeon of doom that are an hour long. I'd recommend this place to people as a beginner haunted house for people that don't want to go in something really scary. It was okay, but there are better options in IL like evil intentions, dungeon of doom, statesville, hells gate and basement of the dead. For a house sponsored by basement of the dead and for the price ($30) I was expecting the same quality and length as the others I mentioned. No merchandise is available for purchase either FYI. Bottom line: a very average/slightly below average haunted house. read more

I went to Disturbia this year and last year. Went with my brother and his girlfriend. We got there right before it opened at 7, the wait was about an hour. Which isn't bad. Waiting in the line is fun, the actor on stilts was very awesome this year. Once inside the props and animatronics are incredible and gory . Very detailed and realistic looking. The actors seemed kind of dead to me this year, not many scares and didn't say much and kind of just followed you and left. While walking we were stopped or had to walk very slow as the line moved soooo slow. Which is okay because you can look at things but also kind of frustrating after awhile. Also going through with three people is hard. I was behind my brother and his girlfriend and staying near them was hard. Nothing overly scared me and I'm easy to scare except the hill billy hunter area- as I have a major phobia of taxidermy and they had a couple of mounts I had to walk under which causes a genuine panic in me lol. The end was done way better in the past. The whole alien room was boring and long. Same alien props that blast air at you over and over. Only like one actor. read more

First they tell you it's a 2 hour wait in order to scam you out of extra money. We waited in line for 45 minutes which isn't 2 hours. The haunted house itself is very detailed and pretty well put together. The issue with the haunted house is the spacing between groups. We caught about 20 people in front of us basically ruining the entire experience. It was a single file line the entire time. The actors seemed out of it. I would not recommend this place AT ALL!!! This was so much fun! My boyfriend was so scared the whole time and I was laughing so hard. The pig guy out front was super cool and the other characters riding around on scooters and the mini truck was awesome! The haunted house had quite a bit of live actors and I appreciated that. But for a 15+ minute haunt for the price of 35 dollars is absolutely TERRIBLE. If you're low on money only go if you find a promo code. It was scary-wary! Really big, lots and lots of different scenes ......all the different sets that are really well done. The actors are scary and creepy and have cool costumes and get-ups. I liked the Hillbilly house where all the bloody cut up animals and people are and the part that looks like your underground in a big sewer. I'd say it takes about a half hour to go threw. read more

Total scam. Reluctantly spent $175 (after taxes) for my family of 5. Purchased tickets online for 7:45 time slot. Arrived at 7:35 and was told they were running behind and it would be a 1.5 hour line unless we spent an extra $20/head to skip the line and walk right in.$175+ $100= $275 to go to a haunted house??? We declined and got in line where we stood for over 3 hours watching the never-ending procession of line jumpers (who paid the additional fee) walk right in. Had I known this was the process up front I would have never purchased the tickets in the first place. After 2 hours of waiting my family wanted to go home but I insisted we stay as I was not willing to walk away from my $175 purchase empty-handed. The final stretch of the line was not tented and we stood for an hour in drizzle on a 40 degree night. It was torture. Also one of the costumed actors snatched hats off my boys 2 hours into the line while trying to scare them. He began to walk off and my 11 y/o poked his leg and the guy crouched down and got in his face and scolded him saying that we will all be kicked out if we touched him again. Apparently the hat-snatching was cool but trying to get the hats back was not. The altercation was over the top, uncalled for and disrespectful. Absolutely miserable experience. They will never see me and my family again. read more
