I also went ahead and also replaced the patio door that was leaking. I was handling this remotely - Jeremy was awesome in jumping on FaceTime, patient in explaining and answering questions, and forthcoming with suggestions. We also had a knocked down fence that we spent months looking for someone to handle the unique situation with a retaining wall. Jeremy hooked us up with his fence guy. One of my neighbor's ended up having a minor roof leak from the patch (which is not out of the norm, just given the nature of patches), and Jeremy was great in getting back out within that week with his roofer and stress testing, and following through on his warranty in getting that fixed. Throughout this, Jeremy was pretty responsive over text message and thorough in his responses. The invoices were transparent and timely - and they were wiling to send an individual invoice to each of us. He's not the cheapest, but he's also not the most expensive quote out there. I'm a big fan - it's hard to find an honest good guy who follows through on his warranty, especially in these times of natural disasters where there's an influx of unqualified shady businesses who knock on doors but do a shoddy job and never show back up.

And they installed a backsplash all the way around the area that was being run over by rainfall. Some lessons are more expensive than others. Take my advice, DO NOT purchase these. Spend that money on a whole home generator or something that actually works. And spend it on a proven business that stands by their product.

In the end I wanted a top notch product that would work (so I would not have to). As an engineer I was drawn to the Valor style guards. The "S" shape and the slight bow make great sense to make sure water has time to enter the gutter thru the screen and prevent leaves etc from sticking to the screen. I found this design superior to the major competitors. We contacted Matt from Gutter Filters of Houston and he came to the house and measured my gutters and noted all corners etc. it took about 30 minutes to get measurements and do a quick layout of the roofline. We then spent another 20-30 minutes reviewing the options and pricing etc. We agreed to an installation date and his team was here on time and got the job done quickly and then cleaned up after themselves. They made sure all my gutter seams were sealed and all debris in the gutters cleaned out. The guards are not visible from ground level which is nice. We have not had a hard rain yet, but I did take out the garden hose and sprayed the roof on full power to simulate a hard rain. The "S" curves worked exactly as designed to slow the water and make sure it all got into the gutter with no overflow. So far so good. We would recommend the Valor style guards and Gutter Filters of Houston to do the work.

The sod they replaced was left with the corners of the pieces sticking up in many places so that it would not properly root, I had to fix this myself. After the freeze I lost 4 bottle brush bushes, and I asked them to remove them. They cut them down to stumps and left the bushes in place. They placed another bush in front to hide the bush they left behind. I had a tree in back that lost some branches in the freeze. I asked them to make the area look nice and cut out the dead branches and clean up the bed that the tree was in. They hacked off the only nice parts of the bush, planted some cheap flowers, failed to remove the banana tree they were supposed to, and never put the mulch in the bed they promised. They had left over sod that I paid for and didn't use it all. They sold that to my neighbor and never even offered me a discount. When I asked them to come back to address the issues they wouldn't respond to my texts. The kid that runs this business is shady, does very poor quality of work, and cares zero about customer satisfaction. My landscaping looked worse after they worked on it than it did before they touched it. Worst landscaping service I have ever had. If I could give them a negative five star rating I would.

It turns out there was enough damage to go ahead and file a claim with my insurance so he helped me through the process. Throughout the entire claim process, Edward followed up with me every other day on the status of the adjuster meeting. Even when I didn't know the time, he went ahead and called on my behalf. He advised he likes to meet with the adjuster to make sure they account for all of the damages. When they say they advocate for their client, they really do. It turns out my insurance didn't approve my claim although Precise saw many damages. Even though it wasn't approved, Precise Roofing went ahead and helped me to appeal my claim. They handled every thing on their end and kept me updated every step of the way. They were able to get the denial appealed and I was able to get a new roof! The process took a long time, but I was never forgotten about or placed on the back burner. We picked the shingles and the work was done in a couple of days. I love my new roof! They give high quality work and work efficiently and quick.
