I ended up having an infection and had to have TWO antibiotics to clear the infection up. Of course this was after I finished radiation because he would never look at my breast and I did not get the antibiotics from him. I got my antibiotics from my oncologist and my PCP. That is how bad my breast was. I would see Dr. Patel once a week. I tried to tell him what I am feeling on my breast and what it looks like. I would ask him if he wanted to see it he would say no it's just normal. That's all he would ever say it's normal once a week I asked him do you want to look at my breast to see what it looks like he said no it's normal. It was NOT normal. As a matter of fact, he had a reputation of being called the 30 second doctor with the women that would see him. There is another woman her breast was also infected. He would tell her the same thing it's normal and he would never look at her breast either. When I showed my breast to my oncologist at Memorial Hermann she was appalled. She said in over 20 years she has never seen anything like this. My PCP couldn't believe it either. I would not wish this type of pain on my worst enemy and the crying trying to put the anabiotic on the breast when it was hurting so bad I was in tears please do not go here and if you already are then good luck.

I've had very long waits for appointments and other days he's been able to see my son within 10 minutes of calling (like in the emergency we had today) so all in all, typical Dr's office. They close their office for days at random times whenever they want to even when it's not a holiday without warning. I have been a patient of Dr. C. Hillert for several years now. Truth be told, I never liked her rude bedside manner. Everything these reviews say about her is true. She talks to you like you are uneducated and as if your medical problems are your fault. But I tolerated a general physical with her once or twice a year to get a refill on my cholesterol medication. Every single time I left an appointment with her, I said to myself "I need to find a new doctor asap, this is my last time." But 6-10 months would go by and it was time for refills again so I tolerated a general physical with her once a year to get a refill on my medication. My last straw with her was I tried to request a referral for an OB. After multiple unreturned phone calls and messages from myself and the requesting physician's office, I went to her office in person. (THEY REFUSE TO HIRE A SECRETARY TO SAVE MONEY. SO YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REACH ANYONE OVER THE PHONE EVER! THEY ONLY CHECK MESSAGES AND RETURN CALLS!) Before she would even process the referral she made me call my insurance company in front of her to verify that it would be accepted. Even after the BCBS representative said it was all good, she still did not believe them. She told me that she did not have time to give me a referral today (Tuesday), and that she MIGHT be able to squeeze it in by Friday because. She said it would take her over 30 minutes to complete it and she did not have time for that. She continued to rant about how many things she has to do and patients to see. She even said "You want me to rearrange my calls and patient appointments to write your referral? Its not my fault you need a referral" At this point, I still remained calm (even though I was almost in tears) and agreed to wait until Friday. However, I explained that my OB will still see me if she just gave them a verbal confirmation over the phone that it was in process. She continued to berate me by listing all of the things she BUSY doing (THE OFFICE WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY!). I politely reassured her that I would be no trouble to her, I offered to call them on my cell, and let her speak to them for one second. She then screamed at me, "IF I DO IT, WILL YOU LEAVE?" I walked out. No one deserves to be treated like this by a medical doctor. I will NEVER return to this office, and you should not either. Especially if you are a minority! RETIRE ALREADY!

He knows us very well. He does lots of tests and takes care of each issue. He explains each test and compares with previous results. He explains the issue and how he is going to help you help yourself. After all he will not be with you to help you choose a healthy meal or take your medication. I have never had a staff member that was less than kind to me. It's very simple to see Dr Hillert. No patient portal. No constant appointment reminds. Make an appointment and get a reminder card and show up then. Dr Hillert keeps his appointment times. One I think I waited 10 minutes. Dr Hillert is awesome.

Recently had hand surgery here. Check in was not complicated…read more Pre-op was good and Ronda did a great job w/ my IV. CRNA snowed me w/ versed before leaving holding area. Post-op was when issues became a problem. The post-op nurse, Kathy, never asked my wife or I about my hand pain. We were rushed out. I know that it is outpatient surgery, but there was no post-op discharge Anesthesia/pain check. The post-op hand pain was severe and it took almost 8 hours to get under control. Hand surgery can be tricky, you need a good surgeon and a good hand therapist. I saw OT on post-op day 5 and was made a splint. I was told that I would get another appointment around post-op day 14 for suture removal and splint alternation if needed. I was told that it would take 3-5 business days for my insurance to approve an OT f/u appointment. On post-op day 16, I called the OT schedulers at Woodlands Pkwy and was told that I would get a return call later that day. Three days passed and I never got a call to schedule an OT appointment to have my sutures removed. So my wife and I removed my sutures. On post-op day 21, I tried again to make an OT appointment and was again informed that I would get a call back. This never happened. Having surgery is never fun, but having surgery and inadequate post-op f/u care/therapy makes it even harder to feel like you have obtained the best possible outcome. I will not have surgery at this location again, nor would I recommend it to a friend.

As soon as we entered the facility, we were warmly greeted, my sister's concerns were addressed immediately and we were both made to feel so welcomed and comfortable. We could feel the love and care offered to us....immeasurable. The parking is plentiful and accessibility is easy .As I said, from the front door up to and including until we left, the level of care was immeasurable. WE ARE SO THANKFUL

So basically, they gave him papers stating upper respiratory infection, so was this not an emergency? Based on the conversation with Helen she stated no. So, in other words, if he had the $650, he was sick but since he did not, he was not sick enough for them, so he was then told to take over the counter medicine. I have never seen anyone in my life be denied medical care unless there were combative and the police had to be called. So, I called as a parent because my son could've passed out or anything could've happened leaving that medical facility with no treatment. I don't care if you are a private hospital or not. They didn't check to see if he was dehydrated, no iv, no blood work all because he did not have $650. He is a young black man & went to seek medical attention just because he was alone or didn't have insurance he still should've been treated. I then called Elite hospital I stayed on the phone for 30 minutes trying while the receptionist explained to the nurse my reason for calling. I needed to know why he was denied treatment? I was trying to understand their reasoning but got me with disregard, disrespect, excuses and kindness, with Helen the tone was definitely hostile, she appeared to seem surprised as to why I'm calling very not nurse like. No compassion, empathy, sympathy or anything was given. Upper respiratory infections are contagious and can be caused by bacteria. Helen was very condescending, so the phone call went all the way left. I then asked for the director of nurses and was placed on hold, then told I could not get that information by Helen. I then explained I had been given that information before on cards or provided with a phone number at least. I had to call another nurse that works in another hospital to find out Brenda Hess is the Chief Nursing Officer, I then asked Helen to provide me with a person who was in charge over her and she stated no one was there she is in charge. The phone call got heated and she hung up I then called back. I called back & was then passed around of course because now Helen has informed her coworkers of what I said and what is going on. Liz gets on the phone with no sympathy or empathy stating I'm aware of what's going on and proceeds to tell me what I already been told about the medical screening. I stated I'm aware Liz clearly needs training in people skills. Liz stated you are not getting Mrs. Hess phone number I will give you her email & then proceeds to tell me to stop yelling & continues to hang up because she is mad, I have exchanged words with her coworker. I find this very offensive, rude & shows the lack of. I ask for specific information & was met with no accountability. In all of this my son was denied care because he was black & did not have $650. If it had been anyone else, I'm sure they would've received treatment private facility or not. I ended up taking him to another medical facility for medical attention. Nurses are here to show compassion, empathy, patience, & humility and my son did not get any of that. The way this world is going it pays to be kind, humble and caring. Then they have a saying at Elite your emergency is our emergency that is completely false. A good nurse finds deep meaning in helping others, advocating for them, and making a difference. I would give them a zero if I could. I wouldn't take a dog here & looking at the reviews I see why they are not 5 stars.
