The place is ok. I have been there before and it wasn't bad before. The next time I came was different. The service was kinda good and I waited in one of the nail chairs forever to get my nails done and after ten minutes of waiting after I got shown to my spot someone came and helped me. I usually get dipped nails and the lady didn't do half of the stuff my regular nail salon does. My nails looked bad and were uneven, but the second day I had them they came off. They didn't even stay on for more than 2 days. I have seen other people's reviews and someone else said that they had the same issue. Which means they are doing something wrong. Usually my dip powder nails will last for more than 2 to 3 weeks but these only lasted for 2 days. I totally wasted $40. read more

While the salon is efficient and is usually able to take clients without reservations in a timely manner, the attitudes in this place are ridiculous! They are downright rude! When I was in last, I misunderstood my manicurist as to where to sit. She rudely called me out, and then said something to several of her coworkers in another language, who then all proceeded to stare at me and laugh. I should have walked out then and there. During my manicure, the lady proceeded to speak to other coworkers and continued to laugh and never spoke two words to me. No paying customer deserves to be treated like that. Loved the girl that did my pedicure, although I didn't catch her name. I was a walk in & first time customer, I got in right away & was offered a complimentary beverage. She did a wonderful job, super polite & professional. $30 for a standard pedicure is super reasonable to me! I've paid well over that for less that decent pedicures. I don't live in the Memphis area, but I'm often here for work. I will definitely be back next time I am in town. read more

There are only two nail salons in town where I have consistently had great experiences. Their products are new, my manicure lasts a full two weeks, and I always can walk in and quickly be seen. One of those places is Diva Nails. It's conveniently located in my neighborhood and I can run there before getting groceries or running errands. Excellent service! I was recommended to a specific nail tech at Diva Nails by several girlfriends for a gel manicure for my wedding day the following day. When we got there, my sister was seated almost immediately for her pedicure, while I waited for about 15 mins for my tech to finish with another client. Although that gave me some time to chose a color from their huge polish wall, I would have liked to have been offered a drink while I waited. I eventually asked for one and what they had, they told me "red wine, white wine, mimosa". My sister had a terrible experience with her pedicure (see review left by Robin T on 5/4/18), however Ms. Courtney was who I was referred to and she did a wonderful job. She kept my glass nice and full for me, and offered me way more beverage choices that the other people didn't tell me about. Overall, the place looks like it's consistently busy, but it was very clean and tidy. And it looks like it's hit or miss depending on who you get. My advice is to find someone who you like, and make sure you schedule appts with them every single time. I will be exclusively Ms. Courtney's client from now on. She made my wedding nails look absolutely perfect! read more

I am a fan of this spot. Always offered a beverage or refill and if it's an alcoholic one, they are great a making mimosas just right, well at least the two different techs I've had. I am giving 4 stars as my first full set of nails were a bit fat and started lifting after less than a week with two pop offs so I had to go in earlier than expected to have that look. But when i went i I think i got Nye( maybe wrong spelling) and she got my nails looking natural and beautiful not fat and it looks like me, plus she make a great mimosa. Never a long wait and time in and out can be in and out in under an hour. Many stations to handle a large crowd. read more

This is beyond my favorite nail salon. I am originally from Memphis and this is the #1 place that I come whenever I get home. I live in LA now - and I am having so much trouble finding a nail salon -- partly because I keep comparing to Diva. Kimmy is so sweet- and she is always so sweet to my mom, too! If I go get my nails done, I usually go to Diva Nails! I go about once every other month or so and I'm always pleased with my manicure/pedicure. I usually get shellac and I will say that you'd be hard pressed to find somewhere that will do it better! I don't know if I've ever had the same person twice, so thats saying something.The salon is huge, FAST! (for a manicure/shellac you can be in and out in 45 min- unheard of most places) and I've always been offered a beverage when I am seated. My only complaint is the shellac color selection is lacking and it would be nice for a place so big/well known to have more to choose from. But all and all I am satisfied every time I leave. I would highly recommend to anyone in Memphis. read more

My daughter and I were in Diva today and both had our eyebrows waxed. We both left with relatively severe burns on our eyelids. At first we thought we were just red from the wax, but both soon realized that we were burnt. I tried to call the manager just to inform them that the wax was too hot, but he 1st told the lady who answered the phone to say he wasn't in (but I could clearly him say that) and then pretended like he couldn't hear me and then hung up. Never had a problem here before and understand that things happened, but expected them to be a little more responsive to my concern. I've been a customer on and off here since it opened. DIVA is the right name for it because many of the technicians now are unbelievably rude and in hurry to get to the next customer with ungrateful attitudes. Good tips don't mean a thing on return appointments. My last manicure was good with a multiple repeat girl who decided she would try being bossy and sassy with her responses and argumentative attitude. I sure don't go there for a hassle. IS SHE KIDDING? This is my only time to pamper myself without the crap. Mind you I'm not even a big talker not to be distracting, and I do try to be pleasant. Her name begins with an S....and I'm done going there. It seems sooner or later you can expect less customer politeness and be taken for granted by too many of the girls. If I had the name of a "mature" consistently pleasant and good technician I might continue going back. The owner needs a 101 in customer friendliness and courtesy. read more

Overpriced. I went in for a pedicure, soak off and overlay. I was quoted a price of $30 for the pedi and $34 for the soak off and overlay. Instead, I was charged $75...that's $11 more than what I was quote. When I questioned the prices, they said my nails were $45. $45 for a BASIC take off and overlay?! It also did not help that when I did come in, I watched them seat at least 5 people before me, and these people did not have appointments. I would not recommend anyone to go here based on the simple fact that they charge you based on how they feel. read more

I have been a faithful customer of Divas for over two years. However last week, was it for me. On Tuesday September 27 I went and got my pedi and mani and tried their new SNS nails/powder. I had a business trip for a few days and literally the next day the nails were starting to come off. SNS nails are supposed to last even longer than shellac ~3-4wks. So I went back to Diva's, at the exact one week timeframe, and Brian, the owner, refused to fix my nails. He said he would charge me for fixing it and that their policy was 3-4 days. Now, I kept my cool, but I know for a fact their policy is one week (funny how you can change that to fit your excuses). He also told me that if they don't use the nail drill to shape your nails, the SNS won't last. Well that would have been nice to know as I was getting mine done and paid $45 for something that didn't even last one week. With this exchange, I requested him to do them again and I would pay but he looked at me and ask: "are you sure you want to do them?" Clearly, he didn't want me there anymore so I just asked if they could take them off. Another person came and soaked my nails for over 10 mins (I counted) so I asked for a nail filer and ended up removing my own nails. The issues with the SNS are one thing, but the horrible customer service experience is the reason why I won't be coming back. Please don't get SNS nails here. It's a waste of your money. read more

I'm writing this review as I sit outside of Diva nails, preparing to find somewhere else to get my nails done. I called yesterday to confirm the price for services that are not expressly noted on their price list and was quoted a price that was very different than what I was given at their location just now. The technician told me that she doesn't know who I talked to, but they told me wrong and all employees know the prices. I stated that I hoped she was not insinuating that I was lying, and that they need to try to train all employees to know and quote the prices for services correctly. She was very rough with my toes at that point, and when she rudely directed me to sit at a manicure table, I began to chat with the woman beside me about w Twas happening (she asked if I was okay) the technician proceeded to snap at me and tell me not to talk to other customers and asked if I wanted to be serviced or not. That is when I left. Sad to say that was my experience, because they do a good job, but can be extremely rude. read more

First off let me say Alex, Alex, Alex!! She does an INCREDIBLE job! I have been patronizing Diva Nails for over 4 years. The shop is extremely clean and most all of the employees are pleasant and friendly. I greatly enjoy visiting with all of them while I am in the shop. The shop is very very busy most of the time which I think speaks for itself. I always have an appointment because I have learned by trial and error if you are a walk in you get whichever technician is up next and what is true with most everything some are better technicians than others. On the few times I have had a problem with my nails I have always been treated with courtesy and respect when I returned to the shop and my very few issues have always been resolved with no problems. While the owner seems aloof at times I have come to realize he is just a very shy and reserved person and does not intend to be rude to anyone. I will continue to patronize this establishment because of the excellent service I receive. My only advice would be is to make an appointment when you wish to take advantage of their services and you can't go wrong booking with Alex!! read more

Some time ago, my boyfriend and I had a cocktail party to go to and his mom invited me to get my nails done with her that afternoon so I'd have a nice manicure for the event. Her go-to is Diva, which is close to home for both of us, so that's where we headed. The place was busy, and always seems to be really busy every time I go, but we were still seated within 15 minutes or so and they made sure to seat us together, which was nice. The girls (a few guys too) working there are all friendly, though many speak in their native language to each other, and it's a bit uncomfortable having them carry on a conversation with each other when you have no idea what they're talking about, but I can look past that. The smell of nail polish and remover can be a bit overwhelming when you first walk in, but you get used to it pretty quickly. The girls are quick and thorough with their work, and they really do a nice job and they keep their stations and equipment clean and sanitized. They have a nice selection of colors there, or you can bring your own, and you can ask for special base coats (strengthening, etc.) and the like if you want them. They are smart and take your payment before they start painting your nails, so you can easily dig in your purse without messing with your new paint job. They have a decent little drying station (complete with polish setting spray) and they help you bring your stuff over to that station so you don't mess up your nails, which is nice. You can get a drink while you're getting your nails done, but I've never bothered. The prices are very reasonable--I've only ever gotten the standard manicure and pedicure--and they do a nice job with it. I've gone in with and without an appointment and I think having an appointment helps a bit. They seem to have a loyal following and lots of regulars, which is a good sign. All in all, it's close to home and work, affordable, and they do good work, so I'll stick with them. read more

This has become my go to place in East Memphis. Clean, professional and a fantastic color selection. Courtney does some of the best work I've had in the area. My single complaint is that twice now I've had manis by ladies who seemed to rush a little. The result was a lot of excess polish on my fingers. Other than that, the pedis are great and the complimentary drinks are a bonus. This is the only issue I've had and overall I'm super pleased with Diva's. Definitely recommend. read more

I won't be returning. Came to this salon after my usual salon had an hour wait. The salon managed to get me and my sister in quickly and all was going well until it wasn't. I was sitting down getting a pedicure enjoying my nice cold coke when all of a sudden the water from the next chair was being sprayed in my direction. This wasn't just a few sprinkles of water either. The tech at the station next to me had the water going full blast and something went awry in which the water started spraying full blast in my direction. I felt like I was at a water park, no lie. Not the experience I wanted especially because at the time I was 9 months pregnant! My top had water all over it and my coke had foot juice water in it now! Terrible. They apologized and I was fine with that but then when it came time to pay they tried to charge full price. Um, no. I am not paying full price after being soaked in water. Asked to speak to manager he comes over and tells me well accidents happen !! What ? Then the tech that had the water on full blast that got me wet was like well it wasn't that much water. Excuse me?! Terrible. I should have told them both to drink that foot juice soda that was on my station. I couldn't believe how terrible the customer service was. They just acted like it was no big deal. They took a measley five dollars off and I vowed that I would never come back. The reason for two stars and not one is that my nail tech did do a great job on my nails but zero stars for customer service. There are better places to spend money on a pedicure in the area. I just walked out of the salon because I walked in to get my nails done and several employees were sitting around doing nothing, talking on the phone, and I was not greeted or helped. I stood there for a few minutes and waited to see if anyone would notice & no one did, so I walked out. I will never go back to this nail salon. HORRIBLE experience. I made an appointment for myself and my bridesmaids to get our nails done here for my wedding. The girl that did my nails was incredibly rude. She rolled her eyes at me the whole time & was annoyed and let me know she was annoyed when I asked if I could move down a few chairs to get a pedicure next to my bridesmaids. I should have told her to stop doing my nails in the middle of it, but I didn't. I tried to let her know I was the bride - in a polite way - hoping she would stop being so rude, but she continued to aggressively do my nails and mock me the entire time. She loudly talked bad about me once I had walked out of the room, in front of my other bridesmaids and my mom. I will never go back to Diva. read more

The salon is large, spacious and modern, and no matter which Tech I have, they all do a great job. They have the best selection of Essie, OPI and gel nail colors in the city.
