I feel like I'm just repeating what everyone else has said but it is necessary! -This place is a hidden gem! Let me first off start by saying I haven't had my hair cut since I moved to Miami last summer. I had my favorite hairstylist and when I moved I was sad to leave. But today I have found a new place that has just welcomed me in as part of the family. The staff is so nice and you just feel so comfortable. It's not the most fancy of places but it has character and I choose quality over quantity every time! I have very curly hair, Helen cut and blowdried my hair with extreme precision and care! She was so personable too. We talked and she really cared about me (instead of the $$$) sitting in her chair. She was very thorough and gave me exactly what I wanted. I'm sure we all have that horror story of going into a hair salon and being very specific about what you want done but the stylist comes up with their own idea. Someway somehow when you say you only want a trim suddenly 6 inches of your hair is gone! This has happened to me all too many times and frankly it was like pulling teeth trying to get me into a salon. Fear not my fellow yelpers. If you too have had a similar experience then you must come to Diva's Hair Salon to put all those fears at ease. Once reading the raving reviews I decided to give my hair a little TLC after neglecting it for so long. I compared the pricing to other salons in the area. Other salons charge $80+ for a simple haircut but Diva's only charges $27 for medium to long hair. That was a win in my book! Don't worry, I know what you're thinking. $27 for a haircut? Immediately, you question the quality of the services you're getting but believe me when I tell you that it was a great experience in and out. I called in wanting to make an appointment and they were able to schedule me that same day. Mind you this was a Wednesday evening right after work that I went so it was pretty quiet but I prefer it that way. I was serviced as soon as I walked in and was out within 30 minutes. My hair stylist was absolutely ah-mazing! I cannot begin to express the great customer service she provided. I've started the no-poo (no shampoo) method recently because of how damaging shampoo can be by stripping all of your hairs natural oils so I requested not to get my hair washed, only rinsed. From there I got a trim that left my hair looking and feeling so much healthier! I am overly satisfied with my experience at this salon and plan to come back. Helen Fuentes is an amazing stylist and colorist! And one of the sweetest human beings you will ever meet. Very good prices here compared to the high end rip off places all over Miami. This is a very nice salon with very friendly staff and they make you feel special and welcome. Located in Brickell roads- parking lot with free parking! Go see Helen at Diva's. Had a great experience with Diva's hair salon. Called right when it opened at 10 am to see if they can squeeze me in for just a cut. Fortunately, they were able too. Helen was my hair dresser and for anyone who knows me, knows my hair is everything so I was nervous to see the outcome. Helen started with a wash and asked me what I wanted and how much to cut off. Throughout the whole experience, she continued to ask me if I was ok with. She ended up cutting a few inches and gave me lots of layers for volume. Helen works fast and is VERY GOOD. I've been going to her ever since. Can't beat a REALLY good hair cut for $29 dollars. When I got home to blow dry it, it was exactly what I wanted. Go see Helen, you won't regret it. read more

This place is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. The place is very low key. I've been going for haircuts and blow dry for 2 years (every four months). My appointment time is always honored. If they are running even 5 minutes behind, they let me know. Everyone is very professional. Karen, gives the best hair was I have ever had. She massaged my head for a good ten minutes. Audi, the owner is very professional and thorough. I have very thick curly hair that is time consuming to cut and blowdry. She always takes her time and does a terrific job. My blowouts have lasted as long as two weeks. This is definetly the place to go to care for curly hair. The price is affordable. read more

So...I'm thrifty. Even though I live in Brickell, I just can't shell out $75 for a haircut. But I don't want crap either so I can't bring myself to go to one of those cheap hair chain assembly line places. I got a recommendation for Diva's and thought...what the heck. Do not be scared away by the raggedy plaza and (gasp) bars on the windows. I was treated with excellent care (by the lovely Helen) and got a modern, stylish haircut...FOR $25. BOOYA!! Let me start off by saying I'm on Yelp to read reviews but never really write them, however my experience at Diva's needed one. I actually gave Diva's a try because of the yelp reviews. I've always been very picky with my hair due to bad experiences in the past but I can finally say this is one of the few times that I've left a salon feeling 100% happy! Everyone at Diva's was extremely nice, attentive, and soft spoken. I made an appointment with Helen for a long to short haircut and she did an amazing job. great trim/layered cut of super over/out-grown curly hair. didnt know of a specific new or improved style to try and didnt get much guidance on that front, but, again, the standard trim/cut was done very well. Next time, I will come up w an idea for different hair style and see how they do - curly hair can be tricky. friendly service and quick to accommodate an appointment. decor is outdated but clean. price is great. this will be my regular place going forward!! Just tried this place out and it's great! I live in the neighborhood and had no idea there was a salon this inexpensive in this area. I called in the morning and they were able to squeeze me in the same day. I went on my lunch break at work and was back within an hour. They were prompt for my appointment, and the whole process (wash, cut, dry) took about 45 minutes. I have straight hair and wanted an A-line bob, which is what I got. The stylist was friendly and took care to make sure she was giving me a cut I would love. Will be back to this place! read more

Helen is AWESOME! I absolutely love her, and this salon! She lets me bring my 2 kids while she cuts my hair (which is always exactly how I want it) She is great.
