Paid over $60 more than any normal gel x set in get in Brickell also while having a cut finger so I only got 9 nails done. I paid $150 for gel x set and then another $20 because I always want to make sure the nail tech gets tipped. Felt very rushed. My cuticles were bleeding after and I had no idea one gel x set would be $150 without any design. I also got white and assumed they would do 3 coats but they didn't and they're pretty much see through. Wouldn't recommend. Seems like a turn and burn spot for tourists. It's also very crowded and loud with people doing hair with blow dryers etc right next to where you get your nails done. Not a good or relaxing experience at all. read more

I left a respectful review about my experience regarding pricing transparency. Instead of receiving an apology or clarification, I received a call from someone at the salon telling me that "next time I should go to Hialeah if I want a lower price." I was not complaining about paying for quality. I was disappointed about not being informed upfront about additional charges. Transparency matters. Being quoted $105 and ending up paying $150 because basic services such as gel removal, callus care, and foot cleaning were charged separately without being explained upfront is not transparent. The comment made me feel denigrated and belittled as a customer. No one deserves to be spoken to in that way. Professional businesses handle feedback with respect and professionalism. Clearly something that does not exist in that saloon with this Colombian guy. No one deserves an employee who is disrespectful, aggressive, denigrating, and arrogant. read more

I had been a loyal client of this salon for over two years, but unfortunately, my last experience was the final straw. Many of the best professionals I trusted, like Layla (my former nail tech), Andy, and Jack, have already left the salon, and now I understand why. After Layla left, I started doing my nails with Kelly. At first, I tried to give her a chance, but she constantly complained about her job, stayed on her phone during appointments, and never seemed happy to be working. My last visit was unacceptable: she didn't greet me, didn't offer water, made me feel unwelcome, and openly complained about doing my nails, as if I were asking her for a favor instead of being a paying client. On top of that, she hurt me almost every time I booked with her, often cutting too deep and making me bleed. The last time, nearly all of my fingers were injured, and her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. A client should never feel disrespected or mistreated like that. Sadly, this isn't only about one person. In the past, I also had bad experiences with hair services, including damaged hair and even burns on my skin. The front desk is inconsistent, sometimes rude, and often disorganized with appointments. I am deeply disappointed after so many years coming here. I will not return, and I do not recommend this salon, especially not Kelly. If someone is so unhappy with their job that they take it out on clients, they should reconsider their career. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC!!!! I made an appointment here to come in for a gloss, Botox and hair extensions. When I first sat down we went over what I wanted and they matched me to my extensions. Then we did the gloss and then the Botox. As she starts installing my hair I realize that the bottom portion of my hair turned completely BLACK. my hair was a chocolate brown. The extensions no longer matched the hair at all. When I asked her what happened her excuse was "this has never happened to me, idk what happened". Like girl, this is your job?? Then continues to ask me over and over what I want to do. Her only solution was to A. BLEACH THE BLACK HAIR??? Wtf when I specifically told her I didn't want dye in my hair or to dye everything to the black. How is that your solution? She also told me I wouldn't have to pay anything since she literally destroyed my hair. She then puts me in touch with the owner of Conde Hair and made me an appt for the next morning for them to correct everything. I came into Conde this morning and the girl was in shock at how she did this to my hair. On top of everything they even made me pay for the Botox which was entirely useless because I had to have my hair washed SEVERAL times this morning and Botox has to sit for 24-48 hours. So not only was I robbed of my time, but they robbed me of money too. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE. read more

Loved my experience this is my second time at Studio D! My hair was so tangled (honestly not sure why but definitely my fault), they took their time to get all the knots out without causing any pain or additional damage. Dinho was my stylist gave me fun 90s blow out/ long layers with shorter face framing pieces! I wasn't sure how short I wanted to go but he told me let's start here we can always take more off later after it's dry which I truly appreciate! I have been seeing Ana Paula, every two weeks, for almost a year now... and I would give her 6 stars for every visit. Whether it be roots, highlights, hair cut, hair botox... anything we do she goes out of her way to not only listen to you... but also to deliver a superior result... and she also is personally invested in the result so, she wants to ensure you are happy with it. I recently observed her in a consultation... she spent 30 minutes listening to the client and asking questions... that sort of investment isn't easily found. So I feel very mixed about my experience at this salon because everyone was very accommodating to me and I am an out of state model who needed to have their hair and makeup done kind of last minute. So I think they're great in that aspect but they might want to rethink about who they've hired as their MUA. I had about one of the worse shade matches of my life- I was completely orange and the makeup kit the MUA was drug store makeup such as Makeup Revolution for the foundation and Morphe Jaclyn palette for the eyeshadow. I had so much foundation put on that you couldn't touch my face without transfer. It was disgusting. My hairstylist who did my blowout did really amazing my hair looked great. The MUA was awful just terrible. Doesn't know how to match skin and has a bad makeup kit. Also there's a hygiene problem- they use the same mascara for everyone they don't use a disposable wand. They also use the foundation applicator directly to the skin and back into the bottle instead of using a makeup plate to put the foundation on and then apply to the skin. These types of things are important when it comes to being an GOOD MUA. You want someone who's hygiene and has good products. This studio is a serious health hazard waiting to happen. Also the MUA REFUSED to put lashes on because he said my eyes were too small despite me using Lily Lashes for years. My recommendation is for the salon to fire him. read more

Terrible experience. Brought my girlfriend there for a manicure appointment. Waited about 15 (not a big deal) until the nail tech took her back to her station. About 10 minutes later my girlfriend came to me in the waiting area and was visibly upset. She was having her nails done when another customer approached the nail tech and said something in Spanish. Apparently she needed a nail touched up and without saying anything to my girlfriend the tech started working on the other customer. My girlfriend said she we had somewhere to be and she couldn't wait. The nail tech ignored her and the other customer kept saying "it's ok" but it was NOT ok to just interrupt someone else's manicure. Oh, and before this happened the nail tech made my girlfriend's finger bleed (see photo). So we left. read more

Studio-D is a salon with also primary beauty services like manicures, pedicures, etc. They are located really conveniently for those living in Brickell upstairs in the Mary Brickell area. I've had now three gel manicures here and while they may not be necessarily a bargain, the quality and convenience is well worth the cost. Also, it's a waterless manicure so that likely helps limit contamination. My nails have always lasted me at least a couple of weeks if not more - sometimes even more than a month. I've paid less for a gel manicure at other places but only for it to peel or chip before two weeks. The staff is professional and the facilities are clean. I've specifically had my nails done by Zelia on the team who is kind and professional and I love her results. She has incredible attention to detail and she always catches a small fix to help perfect the results even before I point anything out. I will continue to go to Studio-D as the go-to for my manicures. Highly recommend! read more

My pedicure was great, but my nails chipped the next day. My tech was very sweet and didn't rush, but not sure if's he applied the polish in the right way. I wanted dip and she added gel color on top of the dip base coat. However, being on a cruise I couldn't go back and had to pay A LOT to fix them. read more

Went to Studio D for the first time today. You could feel my apprehension since I just moved here from NY and wasn't sure what I'd be getting being that I I'm used to a certain level of standard and training from great stylists there. Well to my surprise, I found Luke here at Studio D! He did a fantastic job. Not only is he trained from the Tony & Guy salon, he taught there. He knows his stuff and was able to work with my texture of hair. You see I'm Asian and not everyone could cut Asian men's hair. But with Luke he knew exactly how to cut and left me at ease. Let me start this out by saying that I am not well versed in hair. I recently moved to Miami and I've let my hair grow out for 3 years - before letting my hair grow out, I used to keep my hair high & tight on the sides, so that gives you an idea on how much knowledge I knew about having long hair. Anyway, I didn't know anything about cutting or styling my hair, my fiancé was gone for business, and we recently moved. Studio-D was walking distance from my apartment, so I decided to go here & I had a phenomenal experience. Dinho, the owner, and Anisia Garcia were on my hair and I got an all over low fade, trim on my ends, and I went one step further in coloring my hair and I got my eyebrows done. Salutes to Jacqueline! My wife wanted her hair washed and straightened. Studio-D and Dinho (the stylist) did a wonderful job (best part for me is they got us in quick and it did not take forever hehe). The price here is not cheap, but then again, what in Miami is? However, it was actually less than I was expecting (about $50). I'm the type of customer that doesn't like to bounce around from hair stylist to another, manicurist to another, etc. I'd been super loyal to my previous person and would drive 45 mins to her salon. After covid she shutdown and I was desperate to find someone new. After doing research for weeks I finally but the bullet and made an appt here and I am sooo glad I did! They respond very quickly and were able to book me quickly as well. Diego cut my hair and wow I was so impressed (I'm a tough critic when it comes to my hair). He truly did an incredible job cutting my split ends and bringing my hair back to life. He was sooo knowledgeable and gave me so much advice and recs on how to properly care for my hair/scalp. I haven't had such a good cut and dry since moving to the US in 2018 from London!! I paid a little more than I'm used to but Valeria cut my hair and she did an AMAZING job, well worth it! I had received a horrendous haircut at another Brickell salon (which shall remain nameless) earlier in the evening which made me sick to my stomach and embarrassed to be seen in public. Fortunately Studio D was open late and they put me in Luke's very capable hands. He was empathetic and professional. He made an expert analysis of the situation, clearly communicated what were the problems, and promised to correct it as much as possible. He did a wonderful job with what I brought him and I was able to leave the salon more confident than when I walked in. He also gave me a clear action plan to manage it over the next couple of weeks as my hair grows out. He deserves all the praise today! read more
