I tried to hunker down and get this done, but I am obviously not a candidate for online life saving, because 1) I can't save a life on a computer and 2) I don't want to/cannot spend a crazy amount of time in front of a screen. It simply does not compute. I met Derek Walters when he was visiting a friend who was a patient in the hospital where I work. I learned he was an RN and he owned this company. He gave me his card, I tucked it away because I knew I was going to need it. I registered and paid for the class online, $60. At this particular class, there was only one other attendee, another health care professional. The facility is clean and open, with plenty of room to move freely. Derek is engaging, funny and light. He explained in detail all that is required, to pass the test and obtain certification. He used real life examples to get the lessons across.. His manequins were top of the line, easy to use for practice and demonstration. Derek made this class super fun. I can see he offers this service because of his love for the profession and his strong desire to give back to the community. I will not hesitate to come back in 2 years to recertify and I will tell everyone I know to skip the computer training. The Lasting Compressionss course is well worth the cost, even wthen facility training is free. AND...what a GREAT name, right?

There are many online CPR courses which I did take but were not valid when I submitted it to the state. I took the class with Francisco the owner which is prior military and firefighter. From day one it was really easy to get a hold of him and to arrange for the class. I got lucky that my class ended up being just me so I got to ask any questions I had and Francisco would gladly answer them. The whole experience was an easy and very insightful.
