If I could pick just one word to describe The Vineyards and our wedding day? Magical. I had…read moretoured many venues in the Ventura County area, but none of them struck me the way The Vineyards did. I had a really good feeling upon pulling up to the venue, as it was clear there was ample parking. Not only that, but the greenery is well maintained and it looks absolutely stunning. It's easy to see from any of the photos, but being there in person just doesn't do it all justice. Every corner of the venue is well thought out and beautiful. The lights and greenery that make up the archways just gave the place an enchanting feel. THE VENUE/PLANNING: I knew I wanted a "garden" feel for my wedding and having attended 2 weddings leading up to my own, those experiences guided some of the more practical criteria I was looking for in a venue: -indoor/outdoor options for weather consideration -More than 2 bathrooms/toilets -Getting ready area for groom (in a lot of venues, there's some kind of bridal suite, but Groom facilities are more hit and miss) -photo op areas (plentiful!) -Large parking lot The Vineyards easily met all of these parameters and more. Aside from the above, I do want to note the HUGE bridal suite area with couches, tables and its own bathroom. I did not have a bridal party, but this can easily accommodate 15+ people. There were also 2 "ceremony" location options to choose from (garden or waterwall), and distinct areas for the cocktail and reception. There are so many little photo op nooks around the grounds that your guests can walk around during cocktail hour and enjoy the vibes. In the planning months leading up to our wedding day, The Vineyards was always very flexible and accommodating. They have a portal system which keeps all the important information in one place, in terms of information that they need, deadlines, correspondence, food choices, etc. Our wedding was in February 2026, definitely with the potential for rain. The venue (and all my vendors) were right there with me tracking the weather to see how it would play out. Luckily, it did not rain (down-poured the next day though!), and we were able to keep the ceremony in the Garden area. They did have options available to move the ceremony inside in case it were to have rained, and they went over a few details in preparation just in case. As other reviews have said, they offer a "Vendor Package" which I highly recommend. There are multiple vendor options within each category, but it is a huge perk that these vendors have the familiarity already, and really know where things are at the venue. I was very happy with all the vendors I chose; I'm sure you can't go wrong with any of them. THE STAFF: We met with Shadi, who first toured us around the venue. She is super sweet and very personable. She gave us a lot of detailed information and answered all the questions we had. We had even asked to tour the venue at night and she absolutely accommodated us, and turned on all the features so we could really get an idea of what it would all look like. Everything there is even more stunning at night, when all the lights are on. Shadi ended up going on maternity leave before our wedding and we were helped by Soroor and Jim, who were also incredibly helpful in all the questions that I had. Soroor was there the day of as well and helped me with my outfit right before the ceremony started. Jim was also there in the morning to help with a few setup items. Deana was our coordinator for the day and she is an absolute ROCKSTAR! We briefly met her during the food tasting, but we really got to see her in action at our rehearsal. I could tell immediately that she is someone that is incredibly organized, detail oriented and absolutely knows what she's doing. She is always thinking of the couple and doesn't make you feel like you're just another number. She was with us every step of the way from the start of the ceremony, making sure we had food and drinks during break times, keeping us on schedule with wherever we needed to be, handling and corralling difficult family with grace, and just generally checking in with us and how we were doing throughout the evening. It can be an overwhelming day, but it really does fly by, and having her there to guide us through it all is a big reason for why our wedding went as well as it did. We couldn't imagine having a different coordinator to keep us comfortable & stable. She made us feel that if anything were to have happened, we would be able to deal with it, no problem. We interacted with some of the wait staff during the Food Tasting as well, and not so much on our actual wedding day, but I received good feedback from our guests that all were attentive, friendly and professional. I genuinely feel that the team at The Vineyards really does care about making your day the best it can possibly be. I know that my wedding would not have turned out as amazing as it did, if I had had it at

While our wedding day was always…read moreexpected to be perfect, the year and months leading up to it proved why The Vineyards is a true 5 star wedding experience. My wife and I toured the grounds back in April 2024, and fell in love immediately. The vast indoor and outdoor grounds, with plenty of options for outdoor seating, and the beautiful path leading to the garden ceremony location were big highlights for us. Soroor was excellent in answering all of our questions, detailing the full breakdown of food selections and the two alcohol packages, and all the inclusions The Vineyards offers. We booked the week after our first visit. The communication over the next 13 months was always quick and detailed by Soroor. Any time we emailed her, we'd get a response within hours, sometimes minutes! Additionally, we had an excellent time at our food tasting back in December, where we enjoyed 20+ appetizer options, each of their entree options, and their side options as well. On the big day, my wife and her bridesmaids arrived at 10:30am, and were welcomed warmly by Soroor and her team. Us boys arrived at 12, and were also greeted with snacks, a nice bottle of champagne, and a pitcher of beer by Jimmy! Since a lot of our decorations were DIY, we brought them in a few days before and a few on the day of. Soroor and her team were quick to have everything setup for us and in position well before any of our guests started arriving. Soroor and Deanna emphasized that we wouldn't have to lift a finger for decorating, and they were correct! Everything was set up to our exact details and preferences. My wife and I did a first look and private vows, during this Soroor and Deanna were great in communicating with our photographers and guiding our bridal party to an area where they got to witness it while being "out of the frame." Despite running a little behind schedule from makeup/getting ready, Deanna smoothly guided our group through the end of the first look and back inside as guests started to arrive. When it was time for us to line up for the ceremony, Deanna did an excellent job explaining positions and pace to each member of the bridal party and made all of us feel at ease as we made our way to the garden. The ceremony was absolutely perfect! The background of the garden area provided a Washington Forest feel, transporting you to a truly different vibe. The pacing and coordination as each member of the bridal party walked up was smooth and not rushed, allowing each of us to soak in the moment. It was my wife and I's favorite part of the evening, and a real dream come true. Once the ceremony ended, my wife and I walked down to the 2nd set of lower stairs where the staff greeted us with our specialty cocktails and an array of appetizers for us to enjoy. Big plus as well for them having a water station near the seating area for guests and the bridal party. The reception was a great combination of elegance and party! Juan, aka DJ Kryp2nite, was an awesome personality and kept the vibes high all night! He did an excellent job hyping up our guests for our grand entrance, and did a great job incorporating the add ons throughout the night (fog during first dance, lasers, lighting). Big thank you to Juan for delivering as our DJ! As for the food, the buffet meal was excellent. All the food was yummy and loved by guests, with many praising the NY steak, lemon chicken, the vegan pasta primavera, and our 2 hors d'oeuvres: Bruschetta and Meat/chicken skewers. The dessert bar was beautiful and yummy too, with so many different options and presented beautifully. A lot of our guests emphasized that it felt like fine dining. Last thoughts: Opt for the Champagne tower and sparklers exit! Our champagne tower was setup nicely at the path entrance and was both a beautiful photo opportunity and a freebie for our guests. The sparkler exit was truly magical and was truly a grand send off! Thank you to the Vineyards once again for a once in a lifetime night!

When you drive up, it may look like the world is desolate and incomplete, but once you get behind the gate, you're placed into a gorgeous, rustic, Pinterest/Instagram worthy ambiance. Hors d'oeuvres were delicious with a great team making sure guests are fed, soused, and having fun! If you get the chance to attend or have a wedding here, I'd highly advise against getting the filet mignon. Cooking steaks en mass is difficult, my steak was over cooked. Poor cow who sacrificed his life. The chicken looks amazing though! Bartenders have heavy pours. You will have a ton of fun :)

From the beginning, we were given verbal assurances that the event would go until at least midnight. Based on that understanding, we planned our entire wedding timeline, music, and flow of the evening. However, on the actual night of the wedding, the staff abruptly shut down the music at 10:30 PM -- cutting the celebration short with no flexibility or consideration. When we tried to address this, they pointed to fine print buried deep within a long, 10-page contract -- something that was never clearly explained or emphasized beforehand. Instead of working with us or honoring what was discussed, they relied on technicalities to justify ending the night early. It felt misleading and unprofessional. A wedding venue should prioritize clear communication and delivering on expectations, not hiding behind small print after the fact. The way this was handled left us stressed and frustrated on a night that should have been joyful and memorable for the right reasons. I would strongly advise future couples to be extremely cautious, go over every single detail in writing, and not rely on verbal promises -- because our experience showed that those promises may not be honored.

Tasty Sounds Entertainment has been…read morein business since 1990... 35 years and we have handled events at some messed up locations, but Orcutt Ranch in the Valley is the WORST. Ask any DJ about the location (Unless they are employed by 3 Little Birds Event Planning) and they will tell you the truth. 5-10 years ago, they started making DJs put the speakers inside the house and since all the events are outside you can only imagine how bad that sounded. 10 Years ago, I opened the windows of the house and aimed my speakers out the windows and sort of limped thru my party, I hated it and swore to never have me or my guys ever return. Of course, years go by and we had a client who really wanted to use me and said they were having the party at the Orcutt Ranch, and I WARNED THEM about the speaker situation. They understood the risk "but they wanted pretty" and against my better judgement & the damn money I agreed. Nothing was on my radar prior to the wedding except maybe a couple of weird emails with 3 Little Birds event planning, until the DAY I show up. The new rule is not only do the speakers have to be in the house but they must be turned facing in to the WALLS... again everyone is outside in November...WTF! Then they wanted me to sign a sound agreement on the day of the party. When I wouldn't sign it, they brought in the 2 security guards and said if I didn't sign it, I would be escorted off the premise (5 minutes before my Grand Entrance of the wedding couple). I still wouldn't sign it until I knew that the bride and groom were aware of this situation with the speakers. But what could they do ... guests were already sitting down for dinner and they said they understood and this "Diva DJ" signed the agreement with 2 hulks looking over my shoulder. I was not pissed for the humiliation; I was pissed for the guests and my client. I made it thru the party (it sounded like crap) and dealt with the bad vibes all night long and went home and cashed the $2800.00 check. That was 2 years ago and I would have let it go, but some unaware bride just called and said their venue was Orcutt ranch and it all came flooding back after I warned them. The location is dingy, with Navajo Swastikas all over the place but they get you in with the low price and because it's in a very pretty woodsy location your overlook much of the warnings you feel. But they must not be telling the truth about the music in the presentation. The truth is new houses are being built closer to the ranch and they are having sound ordinance problems but they still want the money... hence the dilemma. "Should we tell our couples the truth or just hijack them on their most special day?" SHAME. If you want a dinner party or a garden wedding with no music, (maybe a harp or violin) then perfect. But if you want a real American "have a damn good time" Wedding, avoid this so-called gem because the gem you're getting is called coprolite (Petrified Feces).
