I love the energy from the dancers on stage. They legitimately have fun and love their jobs. I saw several of them continuing to dance off stage after they'd gotten off their shifts. It took a little convincing to get my friends on board, and since they weren't too excited about getting there right when it started, we arrived late enough to only play the last three games. By the third game, we were completely invested... and then, lo and behold, I won! What?! That was such a fun surprise and definitely made the night even more memorable. The venue has plenty of room to spread out, the setup was very professional, and the host kept everyone entertained with dad jokes between every number. Whether it's a concert, special event, or bingo night, I always have a great time here. We'll definitely be back for another bingo adventure. We spent nearly $400 between reserved tickets, dinner, and drinks because we wanted the full experience. Reserved seating requires dining at the venue, so we expected a comfortable atmosphere and professional service. Instead, the air conditioning wasn't working. The venue never informed guests before seating us or acknowledged it during the evening. We sat through dinner in unbearable heat until we simply couldn't take it anymore. We ended up abandoning the reserved table we paid for and moved into the general admission area just to escape the heat and enjoy the show. While we were dancing, we placed our drinks on an empty chair because there wasn't anywhere else to set them. They accidentally tipped over and spilled. Rather than simply cleaning up the spill, the staff who responded were confrontational and got in my fiancé's face. It was completely unnecessary and incredibly unprofessional over what was obviously an accident. My fiancé went to speak with the manager, and we weren't the only ones. Several other guests were also expressing concerns about both the unbearable conditions and the way staff were treating customers. Unfortunately, the manager couldn't have seemed less interested. There was no apology, no empathy, and no attempt to make anything right. Despite expecting customers to spend significant money on dinner and drinks, they offered absolutely nothing in response to the broken air conditioning, not even complimentary water or a gesture of goodwill. Mechanical issues happen. What separates a good venue from a bad one is how they respond. Unfortunately, The Canyon failed on every level: communication, customer service, and management. I rarely leave one-star reviews, but this experience earned it. We won't be returning, and after reading other reviews when we got home, I wish we had looked into the venue before buying tickets. Hopefully this review helps others avoid making the same mistake we did by choosing this venue. There are plenty of great places to see live music where customers are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

Food was flowing: Pizza, Fruit platter, Chips and Salsa, Buffalo wings, Quesadillas, Chicken Satay, Iced Tea, Lemonade and Water. A great time held by all. It may have been an intermediate class (or I just suck) because the moves seemed pretty difficult. Tons of fun regardless. They even had a live band starting at around 9PM. NOTE: If you want to order food or drinks at the bar, there's a $20 minimum at the bar for card and the restaurant upstairs is cash only. They do have an ATM by the front entrance but it charges I believe a $3.50 service fee. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking to test your line dance moves and have a good old country time.

This long-standing all inclusive lgbtq+ space is celebrating their 20th Anniversary this week as well as the birthday of one of it's awesome bartenders ChrisTopher, who served us up some great drinks tonight. This dive bar meets billiard bar meet karaoke lounge (two nights a week - Sunday and Thursday) meets double patio areas and more is a neighborhood favorite. When I lived down the street it was one of my favorite places to go whether walking along Reseda Blvd up to the street entrance or down Hart St to Canby Avenue through the patio and back door/main entrance via it's shared parking lot with neighboring businesses including a large music studio in an industrial-esque neighborhood block. There's plenty of parking between the lot and along Canby without restrictions, but also metered parking on Hart St and Reseda Blvd. It's a little more than a mile up from the Metro G - Orange Line and also rideshare friendly (back entrance drop off and pick up is often best as the front door is typically closed and/or locked at times. They have restrooms for all genders, remodeled and upgraded. Tall tables inside with seating as well as bar seating on all ends of their double sided bar. Drinks are a little more than your dive club prices, but loaded and generous portions. One downside is the AC system which is not powerful at all, and with the back doors generally open letting out in contained cool air it can be humid and muggy inside. It definitely cools off at night and in cooler months. They've made a lot of updates and small renovations, but the AC not so much. They have so cool themed nights like goth night via Club Caelum, drag events, drag race viewing Fridays, go-go dancing nights, competitions, Sunday BBQ and more. Come to the West Valley's only gay bar to make new friends and of course "C" frenz.

If you miss a class, no one will care. - Teachers are great at their craft. They are nice people, wonderful dancers, and clearly explain the steps - Classes are affordable and you sign up a month at a time - The dance floor opens up after class ends and you can hang out/dance afterward Cons - Parking can be hit or miss depending on the time you arrive - No one wears masks, despite how close your faces get. From bad breath to body odor, to sticky hands, you experience it all. The main reason I chose not to continue is that I take the "follower" role and followers mostly just get led. I don't think followers learn as much as long as they have a good rhythm and a gentle understanding of the moves - which makes these classes not very worth it for me. It could be considered a fun, social activity - but I think "leads" gain much more from each class. This is neither a pro nor a con, but the style of the class allows individuals to rotate partners pretty much every 2-3 minutes, so you end up getting to dance with everyone in the class. The types of people you meet range from great to worst dancers, super young to super elderly, and very polite to straight-up rude.
