I suggested he call them because I had such a positive experience and then realized I have only been sharing that with friends and family instead of in formal review. I was lucky enough to be Thor's solo student during my sessions and he did everything possible to make me comfortable. All of the skills were very personalized and he is very experienced and knowledgeable. Even more important, he was an excellent teacher. He was very patient and was quick to repeat skills that I misunderstood or was struggling with. The scuba world is very male dominated, but I was never the only female in the pool nor was I ever made to feel less capable than the male students doing a refresher course. Thor made the skills fun and he was meticulous about making sure I understood and could safely execute each one. I cannot recommend the shop or Thor enough to anyone starting out, but especially to women entering the water.

My son was anxious and Thor's encouraging teaching style allowed my son to learn, feel confident and do well in this course. It went in on a Thursday. Diver came out on a holiday, at their normal rate, and assured me he could find it. I thought he was smoking something or deluded, because it was lost in 24 feet of water in the infamously filthy (yet getting better thanks to some environmental efforts) Baltimore Inner Harbor. He was in the water for maybe half an hour before he surfaced. "Is this it?" He asked as he handed my ring to me. Thoroughly professional. Personable. Efficient. Reasonable rate. Aside from Coach holding a UEFA coaching license, he is genuinely passionate about his craft and gives his all every single time. My son can't get enough and looks forward to every training session. And it's called soccer...not football.

Our 2 year old daughter was enrolled at Kids Villa for almost a year- far far too long. She started…read moreoff in the busy bee class and then transitioned to the curious cats -- that is when the issues started. I would not recommend the school for so many reasons, but I will provide three of the most concerning. 1- teachers do not console children when they are upset- only threats. The teacher said to my daughter when she cried, "do you want to go to the baby room?) 2- The cameras allow parents to watch their children during the day. One day I saw a child hit my daughter and she began to cry. No comfort was provided as she cried. The teacher was distracted and missed the incident. 3- on three occasions my daughter came home with a poop diaper. When I asked the director about it each time the explanation provided was that "she must have just went." At home I started to notice my daughter showing signs of trauma. She would cry at drop-off not wanting to go into the school. At home with her toy and dolls she started repeating what was said to her by her teacher, " putting herself in timeout and saying "stop crying or I'll put you in the baby room." I do not recommend the school. Once we switched our daughter to Goddard, she is back to her normal happy self.

My kids have had fun while developing coordination and discipline. Also parents watch all the classes and I've never seen anything so cute as little kids practicing taekwondo. At the end of some classes he sometimes allows structured games - somehow he transforms from stern discipline to play. Master Cho is notably skilled and kind.
