Michael and his team blew us away! He went above and beyond any expectations we had. My wife and I couldn't of been any happier with his services and we were so glad we booked him. We found diverse DJ on a fluke- a Facebook add advertising a free photobooth if we booked that month. So we called and the process was sooo smooth. They have an online portal where you can input all the music you want. We had 2 phone calls with our DJ to finalize details. But the best part is... our DJ Micheal (who is also the owner of the company) was AMAZING! He was the ultimate hype man.... while we were waiting to come into the reception we heard cheering and clapping... it was all Mike hyping up our guests. Not what I expected for my wedding. Our DJ talked A LOT, had our guests massage each other at one point, and almost fell on the dance floor.... I did not think he would try to entertain everyone and he should have discussed with us what he was planning on doing. He was very loud and I could tell our guests were overwhelmed by him. I also didn't like how he kept approaching the groom and my self. Our coordinator had to get involved. With that, he did play great music, but he was just over the top... read more

Michael and his team was amazing! He made my wedding so much fun and so seamless. He worked very well with my videographer and photographer, and he is also super polite and accommodating. DJ Michael (Diverse DJ) was beyond excellent, and exceeded all our expectations. We hired him as the DJ for our wedding at The Villa in Westminster. We found him on Yelp a few months before our wedding, scrambling to find the right DJ. When we met him before we made a decision, we instantly felt comfortable with him. Michael is committed and passionate about DJ-ing. It doesn't feel like a job or contract when working with Diverse DJ, it feels like a committment from someone who wants to do a great job, ensure his clients are happy, and make sure all your guests have a great time. He was on time, professional, always responsive, accommodated all our requests, and kept us stress-free leading up to the wedding day, and of course on the wedding day itself. At our reception, we also hired a separate bi-lingual Chinese/English Emcee; she and Michael worked in tandem seamlessly to ensure everyone had a fun night. Party time -- Michael really knows how to work a crowd. Everyone loved the song selection and the energy. He even handed the microphone to two of our guests who had a nice drunken rendition of "Hotel California". Our wedding venue had quite a few areas to hang out including an outdoor area and cocktail room, so at times the dance floor got quieter. Did that stop Michael? NO! Michael @ Diverse DJ was awesome! We hired him for our daughters sweet 16 party last night. She gave him a song list and he mixed in the perfect songs for 16 year olds. He arrived 2 hours early, set up an awesome LED light display to match the decor and was very professional. The music was awesome! He took requests, everything you would want. Michael was so kind & so well educated on his work and made me feel so confident in the fact that he would make sure everything was perfect for mine and my husbands wedding. I don't even know where to start! I was in need of a DJ for my wedding reception, and was referred to Michael by a close family member. Michael was AMAZING! We booked Michael (and his assistant Nemo) for our wedding on 9/8/18 in Laguna Beach. Michael and Nemo did a great job setting the right mood throughout the wedding: the ceremony, the cocktail hour, the introductions and speeches, the dinner service, the dancing, etc. They made the night fun, played great music, and did a good job reading the audience to keep them dancing the whole night. Michael also served as the MC and did an amazing job: he was able to silence the crowd and get their attention when needed (e.g. for the speeches and announcements) but was also able to get them hyped up at the right time, he spoke just enough (in my experience, most MC's at weddings don't speak enough so it's usually boring especially during the dinner service), he was upbeat without being cheesy, he kept everything on schedule, and he speaks German (we didn't know this at the time so we were pleasantly surprised- and extremely lucky- considering we had guests from Germany and my now mother-in-law doesn't understand English). Michael was the DJ for our wedding back in 10/17. From the first phone call it was a great experience. He was educational, honest and a good price. He came out to see our venue and communicated everything we should expect. He showed up early to the event to set up! Loved that. Great music and entertainment for our guests. A few of our guests came up to me during the reception saying that we had picked a good DJ. People were dancing the whole night (even after we left for the honeymoon).
