I have been on the search for an alternative workout regime due to severe issues with my back, the result of an auto accident several years ago. I decided to take advantage of a Pilates Groupon offer at Diversified Soft Tissue Therapy. I underestimated pilates, its a challenging workout and I actually enjoyed it and believe you could get in awesome shape if you remain dedicated. That being said, if you are like me, new to pilates its difficult to ascertain how some of the moves could exacerbate an existing injury hence after several visits I majorly irritated my back and decided not to return for the rest of my package. Again, loved the workout, the facility was nice and Sarah was knowledgable, but if you are new and/or if you are unsure of your actual limitations you may want to take advantage of a smaller group or individual sessions. read more

After spine surgery, I needed expert help in setting up and executing a safe workout program. Robert and Sarah reviewed my situation and started me off with individual Pilates work with Sarah for several weeks. After that, I transitioned to Pilates group classes, which consist of no more than 8 students. Have been enjoying and profiting from the classes over several months. Upon arriving to the business for the first time, Sarah took the time only to charge my credit card for a 6-week series however did not take time to show me around or even tell me in which room the class was; she seemed a bit preoccupied/rushed and was quite high-energy (not a great welcoming for a relaxing QiGong class). I attended only the first 3 classes of the 6 classes as, the day of the 4th class I was diagnosed with Bronchitis. I emailed Sarah that day however was told that she cannot issue any refund for the missed class as I didn't provide a full 24-hour notice (she seemed to have no consideration for my illness). I was so put off by not only the denial to reimburse but also just by the way she communicated. I was not happy with this experience at all. read more

Jonathan, Sarah, Robert, and Amy are trained, experienced instructors with a lot of patience, humour, and genuine concern for your well being. I purchased a 12 pack Groupon with this company. The studio is VERY clean and organized. The classes are small - 5 reformers AND there is a separate Mat class/Kettle ball room. There is also a massage room as well. I've had 5 classes with Jonathan and he's a gem. Very calming demeanor, his corrections are great and always focused on proper technique, which is good for support back. I have already recommended this studio - great place! read more

I was gifted a 90 minute massage for my birthday through Groupon. I had never been to this place and had no idea what to expect. I was totally blown away. I've had many professional massages before, but this was BY FAR the best one!!! My therapist was a total expert. They seemed to combine a mix of massage techniques and style that pinpointed all of my knots and imbalanced muscles (without me even asking)--it was absolutely healing. The level of care and expertise was really astounding. After my massage, the therapist took the time to look at the bottom of my shoes and explain what the soles indicated about my posture and how it was affecting my stride and the different muscles in my body. I don't think this was typically part of the massage, just the masseuse going above and beyond. Again, this place is such a hidden gem. I recommend their services to anyone and everyone!!! read more

Really love the variety of classes, the instructors (Amy and Jonathan rock), the small size of each class, how you can use an app on your phone to find and sign up for available classes, how quick and professional Sarah is at organizing appts and answering questions. The monthly newsletter gives all sorts of deals and opportunities to attend special workshops. The other folks taking the classes are also very nice! The location is lovely, so close to lovers point. The plentiful parking is free and 3 hours. I also got an orthopedic massage with Rob and Amy and was impressed by their knowledge. Amy's crossfit style classes are kick your butt awesome. This is a pleasant studio with nice staff, with a mostly retired older clientele during the daytime group work. It should be noted for group Pilates classes that there are only 5-6 Reformers, but they take more people into class than that, and expect the group to split into half on the mats and then switch halfway through. I kept trying to sign up for what I thought would be smaller classes of 6 so I could stay on a Reformer the whole time, but that just wasn't case. Even though there was a reformer available today, the teacher wanted to make room for half the people on the floor and told me that reformer wouldn't be used so it could be pushed against the wall for more floor space. So these group Pilates classes work for those up for floor mat work, but not if you only want the reformer. I guess you have to pay for private sessions to guarantee that. read more

I have worked with DSTT for two and a half years. That's saying something; I've never stayed with an exercise program before. When I first came, I couldn't do a sit up. Now I am taking advantage of all the classes: Jonathon's Pilates, Sarah and Amy's Crossfit, massage with Rob (who makes me cry in a good way). The studio is clean and the staff is so knowledgeable about anatomy and injuries and personal limitations. At the same time, they push me when I'm lagging. I love this place. The other people who come have become my friends, and we help and challenge each other (yes, Michael. YOU!). I was at my wits end. I had several surgeries within a short span of time, including a spinal fusion. I had been to many different physical therapists but was experiencing muscle weakness in my left leg. I began to drag my left leg it became so bad. I googled many places in the area and found DSTT! After conferring with Robert, I met with Sarah. She immediately noted that my body was misaligned due to the left side weakness. I have been seeing her on a three times a week basis for several months. The results are nothing short of miraculous as far as I'm concerned. I am so glad I found Diversified Soft Tissue Therapy! I go to Jonathan's classes (though all of the teachers are exceptional) and within the first two weeks of going, I could tell my body was more flexible, stronger and my back has been helped immensely. Jonathan's classes are good for ALL ages. Even if you've never done Pilates before, try this class. All the instructions are clear and detailed and Jonathan is a real hands on teacher.
