Got my estimate and took it and the car to Bowmans. They had no problem fixing it based off the estimate. The car was done in a timely manner and no matter who I talked to there, they were all kind. I was able to get everything fixed and looked great. I had no problem trusting they would do a good job. I liked that they are a small town locally owned business that does a great service. Last summer another car shop had told me that my brakes were so bad that I was risking serious injury by continuing to drive my vehicle. When I took my car in for other work at Quality Car Care, I asked them to replace my brakes as well. They called me after looking at my car and told me that I still had over half of the life left in my brakes and they thought it would be a waste of money for me to do any work on them now. That honesty blew me away because they could have chosen to not say anything and cash in regardless. Their employees are very friendly. Someone is always answering the phone and I've always been able to get my car in within 24 hours of calling. For repair work, I drop my car off the night before and I've always had a call before 9 a.m. telling me the solution, cost, and time that my vehicle would be done. Their costs and quality of work are outstanding. And, the fact that I trust them completely and don't have to worry about being taken advantage of because of my gender & lack of car knowledge is definitely something you don't find anywhere.

I called around and got estimates for putting in a new water pump. In talking to Dave at Carlisle's in Creston, it would be costly but his estimate was the most reasonable. So I made my appointment and brought my car in. later, I received a call from Dave with great news; it wasn't the pump after all, it was a different part that cost a lot less to fix; what a blessing. Can you believe how honest he was when he could have just replaced the pump like I assumed was the problem anyway? You can't find honest people like that any too easy anymore. He ended up having a bad alternator and Scott obtained a new alternator on a Sunday and replaced it and got the car driving great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Scott to anyone needing car repairs. He was more than fair with pricing and excellent service. After a month and a…read morehalf of not touching my four wheeler, all of the sudden it had compression issues and needed new Rings Pistons top end rebuild carb rebuild everything. They were going to charge me over $1,200 for this. What really happened? They didn't want to work on my 4-wheeler so they over bid the job too high so I would I would take it back. But they charged me for this time spent. I had someone else take a look at it and they told me the compression was fine and the valves were perfect. Don't expect friendliness when you walk into the service area. Sure, they'll sell you a four-wheeler with a smile on their face but the second you need work done it's all doom and gloom. You be the judge.
