Was having spasms in my traps by the third day and, as soon as i landed, booked an appointment in my Lyft home. I got the 60 min "back" (body) and 30 min foot massage combo for $80. People can be weird about feet and rightfully so. But you start on the chair with feet in the water so no worries about smells, if that's your concern. Even the foot massage starts with a face and head massage, then feet and legs. So relaxing. I have to conscious deep breathing exercises to stay awake; otherwise, I fall asleep. The back portion of the combo massage is a traditional body massage. Everything but underwear off, you are beneath a sheet. While I'm normally a deep tissue girl (only because most places and even fancy ones just rub oil on you and call it Swedish), I would say he's a wonderful combination of Swedish and shiatsu in style, soothing yet with focused pressure where needed. Ben works on your knots with both hands and elbows with the precision of a chiropractor. He knows where their edges are. You hear them go clicketty-click, and feel your neck release - I mean that in the most literal sense as you feel spaces between vertebrae open up. Yet he doesn't do it with overt pressure. Most importantly, he's so respectful and careful. I hate massage therapists who treat the body like it's a whole brisket to soften. Ben is the opposite of that. Oh, and if you don't like glutes massages, (you're missing out but) tell him that in advance. It's par for the course in Chinese massage shops. Tell me a place you can get a full body massage for this price - do those exist even in Chinatown? then - Tell me a place where you can get a really freakin' skilled, relaxing, yet effective full body massage for this price: Nowhere else in the city (state?) but KK Foot Massage. I tried calling twice and I never got an answer so I just drove over. The inside is dark & hotter than hell. A lady came out of a room to greet me. She tried explaining something, but she didn't speak English. Another younger lady appeared & told me to come back in 10 minutes. I went to the convenience store to grab a drink & returned. The first lady, the one who didn't speak English, pointed to the pricing menu & I requested a 90 minute combo session. I was told to pay before & I did. I was taken to a small room & given no instructions. I finally understood that I was to remove my clothes & get under a towel. I've had previous surgeries on my lower back & don't like for anyone to touch that area, so I kept my pants on. The lady kept trying to pull them down & I kept trying to explain that I didn't want that area massaged. She started with the lightest touch, the amount of pressure you'd use when applying sunscreen. After a few minutes I asked for firmer pressure. I had just showered and styled my hair so I brought a tshirt to wrap my hair in. I kept saying I didn't want oil in my hair. Since we had no way of communicating, I might as well have asked for her to dump oil all over me. The atmosphere might have been relaxing, however I was unable to relax since her phone rang constantly and she received countless messages. Also, she stepped out of the room about 20 times. I paid for 90 minutes & she indicated she was done in 55 minutes. I received less than 45 if you count the time she spent out of the room or messing with her phone. The massage itself was horrible. She used extremely firm pressure on my neck and did it wrong. The whole thing now hurts, especially when I cough or sneeze. I'm miserable. She did more harm than good. It's been 4 days since the "massage" & I feel horrible. I will not return & wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.
