Throughout the session, she repeatedly stated out loud that she "trusted me," which felt very strange and performative given the way the interaction was unfolding. Rather than creating comfort, this made the situation feel staged and psychologically unsettling. The tarot portion felt generic and manipulative. Cards were pulled and immediately tied to sweeping conclusions that could apply to almost anyone, followed by loaded questions designed to force agreement. The connections felt retrofitted rather than meaningful, more like a game of word association or Pictionary than insight. She disclosed that she had met with my father earlier and has seen multiple members of my family. Despite repeatedly insisting she was "not biased," the questioning and conclusions clearly felt shaped by prior information.
