The atmosphere is beautiful, making it perfect for a date or sitting at the bar. Parking is definitely a headache. My friend and I almost gave up after 15 minutes of searching, but I'm so glad we stayed! The service was phenomenal. I wish I remembered our server's name because she deserves a special shoutout. Another server also checked on us and was wonderful. Overall, an amazing experience, and I'll definitely be returning. Thank you for bringing a taste of Peru to San Antonio!

The first course was a delicious (and huge) tamal wrapped in banana leaves. The masa was thick, very moist, and tasted like it was made with a very delicious broth. That was followed by anticuchos which are grilled slices of beef heart. They came with some slices of roasted potato. I thought they were seasoned really well, but my son thought they were too salty. For our main course, we both had cau cau (Peruvian beef tripe stew) served with a small bowl of white rice. It was very delicious. The trip was cooked perfectly- not chewy, but not gelatinous. For dessert, we each had an alfador (Peruvian short bread cookies filled with a layer of Dulce de Leche and topped with powdered sugar). They were sheer perfection! The shortbread was as soft and flaky as my Mother's. We each drank a Chicha Morado. It was a sweet purple drink with cinnamon in it. I loved it. We only came in contact with two of the staff. They were both super helpful and very pleasant.
