Bilia Eatery in Castle Hills continues to live up to the hype! My recent visit absolutely confirmed it. The yucca fries were AMAZING perfectly crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and seasoned just right. Easily one of the best sides on the menu. I ordered the Havana Bowl with avocado and shredded chicken, and it was packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and satisfying without feeling heavy. We also tried the La Guerita Arepa, and let me just say... one is definitely MORE than enough! We actually ordered two because we weren't sure if one would fill us up but they pack it with such a generous amount of filling that one would have done the job. It's hearty, satisfying, and full of flavor. And don't forget to try their house-made guava limeade !! it's the perfect refreshing finish! The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it a great spot whether you're grabbing lunch or meeting up with friends. Definitely a place I'll keep coming back to!

Bilia Eatery continues to be a favorite. I brought my husband after a Sunday dog walk at Hardberger Park, and it was the perfect stop. There were only a couple of people inside when we arrived, so we had our pick of the best seats. I love the natural light throughout the space, and the service was genuinely welcoming--we were greeted right away and checked on a few times, which you don't usually expect at a counter-order spot. The wall covered in photos and family ephemera gives the restaurant a homey feel while still feeling fresh and modern. Food-wise, everything hit: the Havana bowl and the AM Frita Cubana were excellent. The fried egg was perfection, and the rice was incredibly flavorful. Just a consistently great experience all around--can't wait to come back.

A hidden treasure! We've lived in the San Antonio area a while and just discovered this place and loved it. A great date night or girls lunch place! Food was so good and we can't wait to try more! They were very helpful in answering our questions. Highly recommend!

Visited for the first time after hearing so many great reviews. The space is a decent size and a bit outdated, but it has a comfortable, cozy feel that I actually liked. The service was excellent--the owners were there and were very friendly and welcoming. The burgers were really good--fresh and tasty, though they could've used a little more seasoning. That said, you can't beat the price for the quality. We also ordered a hot dog for the kids, which isn't listed on the kids' menu (it's on the regular menu instead). It would be great to see it added to the kids' menu since hot dogs are such a kid favorite. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back again.

Ordered take-out for a company lunch. I got the Lomo Saltado (stir fry sirloin w/ soy sauce, red onions, tomato, french fries, cilantro, and a side of white rice). There were some tender chunks of meat, but some were a little tough to chew. The dish is pretty salty (more than I would like). Reminded me of the Vietnamese dish, "Shaken Beef" (minus the fries). They offer a variety of Cuban style sandwiches (tuna, chicken, turkey, steak), plates, coffee, & soft drinks. Two desserts options: goat cheese & guava cheesecake or cuatro leches Even though it was extremely busy during lunch, wait time was short and they served everyone quickly. Might consider a different item next time, but for now my Lomo Saltado was okay. The fries got soggy quick (especially in the to-go container).

I like to consider myself a tough, honest reviewer. My wife and I literally ate at this joint weeks ago. Since then, I've been racking my brain to try and find something... Because I don't easily give five stars. I've been twice now: ate the Cuban sandwich... The Frita Cubana... And was lucky enough to have their loaded fries special. This. Place. Is. Legit. Great, flavorful food, good service, fun, unique atmosphere with eclectic decor...spot on pricing ...I literally find no issues. I will say, it's not what I consider a romantic spot, but if you're in the mood for a great lunch atmosphere...do yourself a favor and try Bilia. You won't be disappointed. It's definitely on my "wouldn't mind going back to" - list. Bravo! Felicidades!

I like this spot, I've only been here one time before and grabbed a guava lemonade and maduros, which are so freaking good. They are never greasy and not too soft and well, who doesn't like guava? I'm sure a lot of people don't, but I lived in an island so pffftttt whatever. Anyway, I ordered Yucca fries, maduros and 2 Arepas. All of it was amazing, I had to order 2 more to go. The weird thing was I sat down back after ordering and the gentleman at the counter came over to me and said, my co-worker advised me you have celiac so one of the arepas you ordered has gluten. I'm like how does someone know I have celiac. I advised it wasn't for me but that was weird because I never mentioned it.

Tried to call ahead to save time but the number on Apple Maps, Google, and on their website is not in service/unavailable. So came in and placed in order ToGo. First time ever and got 2 Cuban sandwiches and a side of fries for myself and a coworker. Took nearly 20 minutes and cost $30 big ones!! I didn't even get any drinks. Otherwise, friendly service and very specious bright and colorful restaurant, felt like a good blend of traditional and modern. Lots of outdoor seating. And the lady at the register said they have brunch EVERY day! I believe I saw a cocktail menu and a coffee grinder! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't coming back. The sandwiches were delicious albeit on the smaller side. And those fries were fresh made! No dipping sauce though just ketchup packets.

Bilia is by far one is my favorite eateries to frequent! From the open floor plan, to the beautiful, bright and colorful photo gallery on the wall, to the very tropical themed tables and decor. Every time I go there, the ambience and service are both excellent. Their chicken soup is absolutely amazing, I could eat it in the middle of August and feel totally fine about it. The arepas are all delicious, I have yet to have one. I didn't like. Their Cuban sandwich is also amazing! The last time I went, I also tried the coffee and the guava cheesecake and it blew my mind! You literally don't need to add a single thing to the coffee, the flavor is perfect as it is! I don't remember the last time I came here and it wasn't packed. I always look forward to grabbing some lunch here, keep in mind it is very filling!

I don't know what else to say about this wonderful place, except GO! Cuban sandwich, fries, side salad, yucca fries, posole soup, Macha latte, fried plantains. All on point! Not to mention the authentically kind service. New fave!

Decided to try this place after seeing it on Tiktok and I am so glad I did! We loved the food so much and cannot wait to be back. The chicharrones are the best I have had!

Nice little hole in the wall that serves delicious, fresh food, and drinks. Our friends have been having about this spot and we finally had to visit with them. For a Friday night, it wasn't super busy, but we did go in an hour before closing time at 8 pm. I ordered their sangria and steak with chimichurri as my entree. Our friends ordered empanadas to munch on as appetizers. The empanadas were hot, with ample amounts of meat inside. Very delicious! Steak came out perfect with yucca fries and salad. Everything was cooked to perfection. Next time I would like to come back to try their sandwiches.

I was warmly greeted and quickly tended to. Their menu provided several items from different Central American countries and Mexican food too. I ordered their typical breakfast which consisted of fried sweet plantains, sour cream, 2 eggs, slice of cheese and avocado, and black refried beans. It reminded me a lot of Costa Rican style breakfast. It was very hearty. I also ordered one of the Honduran tamales and was pleased to find it had rice, Porto, potatoes, shredded carrot and peas. They also have Aguas frescas and 2 are not the normal ones you find in most Mexican restaurants. I orders the nance drink and was very pleased. If you're looking for something different and want to try cuisine from Central America, I highly recommend you get a shrimp and cheese pupusa, Honduran tamal, and one of their aguas frescas.

Their pupusas are cheap and delicious and usually keep good if you don't finish them in one sitting. The reason for the loss of a star is the service. The lady handling to go orders has no customer service skills. She stands there, and stares at you while you make your order. She doesn't try to engage and seems like she hates being there. The phones take a while to answer or they don't answer at all. The hours are also very short, with days closing at 7pm. The interior could be clean, but overall is decent enough and doesn't instill any ideas of being dirty. Some restaurants around this area are much less well kept than here! The little mini-market has plenty of little Salvadorean and Honduran treats! They have services to send money back home, a staple you'd see in any Central American store. Unfortunately the food fell short and the service didn't meet the mark. The most surprising thing was how unseasoned the food was. The pork chop was basically the only item that popped with some flavor from seasoning. Everything tastes as if it was just cooked or boiled with in plain water with no seasoning or spices added. The pupusas were extremely bland. The service missed the mark as well. Staff seemed as if they really didn't want you to be there. And there was absolutely no urgency for anything. Dishes came out periodically with having to ask for an update on them. It seems like it could be a lively place but as I looked around most of the patrons were just waiting around the same for their food. Maybe the kitchen staff was having a bad day. Either way I was disappointed because I really had been looking forward to coming to this place but not sure if I'd be back anytime soon. Also the parking situation was a bit hectic.
