Had them service my regulator. They were very quick. Did it in a week, when I only had 10 days before a trip. My set up is with two different brands and could only service one, which fortunately was the primary. The staff were really nice and friendly. Helped me find a few items in addition. And things seemed well priced. My only advice, would be to check to see whether they could service all the the equipment you are bringing in, since I've had to take my second to another shop, but they really helped me out in a pinch with my regulator when I needed it quickly read more

Nope. Never again. I don't know a lot about the other dive instructors or employees, I've always dealt with the owner, Ken. I've been doing business there for 3 years and I've had enough. He is the only local Aqua Lung service center so I felt obligated to keep my gear inspected. Not worth it. The proprietor is absurdly rude, unorganized and unaccommodating. I've bought a lot of gear here (fine quality and ok price) but he actually gave me a hard time about not having bought my BCs and regs there, sorry- found a much better deal while I was on a trip. I'll take my hard earned dollars to a shop that makes me feel welcome. read more

Great store and experience. I have been Scubing for over 20 years and have purchased most of my gear from Ken. I recently upgraded all my gear to ScubaPro and had a great experience throughout the entire process. Drysuit fitting, wetsuits, regulators, ponies, tanks were all purchased through the store. After 20 years I needed a complete refreshing of all gear. In researching the price with online, the purchases were all competitive and lower than online for the most part. I also always try to purchase locally since having a store locally always helps. Highly recommended. read more

About a year and half ago myself and a group of good friends did a discover scuba in Richmond and we were hooked, however I didn't feel that the instructor was the best to do our open water certification. I started researching dive centers in Charlottesville, Roanoke and Harrisonburg as we live in Augusta County. I made several calls and asked a lot of annoying questions, finally deciding on Diving Enterprises. As we progressed in the course work we all felt comfortable reaching out to Ken and he never seemed bothered by our many questions. We did our pool session with Mike French and safety was a priority which was very important to me and one of the reasons I picked Diving Enterprises. The day of our open water dive, I felt we had bonded with Mike and I pulled him aside to let him know I only wanted him to teach us. Ofcourse given the terrible weather finishing was a priority and my group got Ken on some dives and Mike on others, which he was just as wonderful as Mike. We could not have picked a better company to do our certification with, they were extremely knowledgeable, had a lot of patience, accommodating and so on. Heads up, the shop is a little cluttered and for me not as orderly, but getting to see these guys in action it no longer bothers me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and can't wait to dive with them again! read more

I just got certified this past Sunday with Jim Tuite and Mark assisted with our Open water. I had an amazing overall experience. They are very patient and thorough in making sure you're comfortable with the skills taught. They made my initial scuba experience awesome and I will definitely continue my scuba classes (specialty classes) with Diving Enterprise. If you want to get Padi certified with knowledgeable instructors that will make sure you're prepared for diving SAFELY; take classes with Diving Enterprise. Also when purchasing they take time on making sure you're fitted properly and don't try to push a bunch of items on you, which I loved. I hate pushy salesmen, and they are not. When renting gear from them, they make sure you have a perfect fit as well. read more

Have just completed the open water diver course taught by Matt Wingfield. It happened to be with the Boyscout Camp at Claytor Lake and 6 Boyscouts from various troops. As a Scoutmaster I was particularly impressed by not only his technical abilities but his patience and his manner of teaching the boys. We all had a FANTASTIC week, learned a tremendous amount and the boys truly earned not only the scuba merit badge; but also the PADI open water designation! read more
