With the bans coming into place here on July 1st, we decided to "pull the trigger" and order the pistols online. We ordered the pistols on the same order and had them shipped to Big Boyz. After they arrived they gave me a call to come by and pick up the pistols. When my wife and I arrived they would not let my wife pick up her pistol because the shipping label arrived with my name on it. They said that I had paid for it and so it couldn't be transferred. They said, "it's the law" according to the ATF. I called the Virginia ATF field office and spoke with one of their firearms investigative field agents who stated that the law required the legal OWNER of the gun to be the one to fill out the paperwork and go through the process. This would be my wife. Dave, the owner of Big Boyz, refused to listen to the ATF agent, and told the ATF agent that the law did not say that. It's funny that when confronted with the truth of the law, you just disagree for the sake of being right, even when you're wrong. They refused to transfer my wife's gun to her. I still was able to get mine and my background check went through no problem. So the issue wasn't like my wife was buying a gun for me. She was not. We bought our guns, and I was able to get mine and she was not able to get hers because of a policy, that they claimed was "law". They claim the first line I have no problem with them having a policy in place that may be stricter than the law. But, don't claim it's the law, then be shown that its not the law, and then refuse to transfer it on the grounds its illegal. It's not. When I was leaving Dave was speaking out loud that they will "continue to abide by their policies". I re-iterated, that the keyword in that was POLICY, not LAW, said have a good day and walked out. Dave proceeded to follow me to the parking lot saying, "don't walk away from me like that" and said if I came back I would be trespassing. So, in sum, they treated me extremely poorly as if I was some sort of criminal (yet still gave me a gun after my background check came through), would not let my wife get her gun, when shown and told directly from an ATF agent that the ATF and law has no problem with this transaction, told me not to come back and trespassed me, and still have my wife's gun that we've already paid for... DO NOT COME HERE! Vote with your dollar, we have a right to bear arms, and they would not let my wife legally exercise that right.

Every time I was walking on the sidewalk of this Mall and saw the great variety of sneakers of all kinds and brand names that this store carried I told myself that next time I needed sneakers, I would come by this local sneakers store to see what they had to offer. Today must have been that day, because when I arrived, the store was open and I walked in. One of the salespersons of the store, Hallie, greeted me, answered several questions that I had about the store and its products, and helped me find a pair of sneakers according to my needs. She brought me several brands of sneakers of my size for me to try on. And finally I found a pair with the perfect fit and very comfortable. And I bought them right away, not only because I liked them, but also because of my purchase I was contributing to the growth of a local business that was very involved with the community. Besides a nice variety of brand name sneakers, this store also carried an assortment of items related to running, such as very creative socks, t-shirts, goodies, water bottles, running vests to carry your water bottle, and sunglasses, among others. He also earned credibility and trust by being open, honest & down to earth. And you could tell, he took pride in their products. When I asked him if they were having any Black Friday Sales this year, he told me he didn't know yet but that I could find some sales going on now in the company's website. When I asked him about a Bison Wallet they used to have, he showed what they had and was surprised they didn't have it on display but thought it might be coming in shortly and also suggested I look for it on their website. As we walked around the store, I was very impressed by its cleanliness, interior design, product display, and nice lighting treatment. All items were display to show their best. I also enjoyed viewing their fly-fishing equipment. After all, I have enjoyed fishing all my life and Saltwater Sport Fishing was my one of my favorite hobbies as I was growing up and being the youngest person to win the prestigious Yearly Cangrejos Yacht Club Fishing Tournament in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico by catching and landing a 403 lb Blue Martin after three and a half hours of struggling with him. In another occasion I also caught a 97 lb Bull Dolphin or Mahi-Mahi, also called Dorado, when I was even younger. I thanked the Orvis associate for his assistance and help, and promised to return on Black Friday to see what's going on there. I remember one year they had a roulette or something similar that gave you a discount of different amounts, depending what you picked. One at home I went to their website, found the sale the sales-associate was referring to and purchased the jacket I wanted to replace my worn down one. I highly recommend you visit this store if you're a local or a tourist. In it you will find nice, quality merchandise, and exceptional customer service, creating moments that exceed our expectations.

I visited the Christiansburg, VA Old Navy store on November 22, 2022. I had a few online items…read morethat I needed to return. I came in around 10:00 am. The store was not busy as it was a Tuesday and the store had just opened for the day. Honestly, I chatted online with Old Navy customer service about their return policy. The rep I chatted with was not helpful and that is why I decided to try and get further help from someone in person. A few of my items were several months past the return date. Some of the items were a few weeks old. A few I had just received a few days prior. So I needed to see if I could get any money back, a store credit, or do I need to try and sell the goods to consignment. When I walked in there was a young lady (in a pink sweatshirt and black leggings with shoulder length hair) that was restocking the goodies around the registers. (I'm truly sorry I did not catch her name because she was very nice.) She was able to complete the returns for a couple of my purchases back to my original payment method. For the older things I needed to return, she said something along the lines of, 'Sorry I am unable to return these.' I asked, 'would I be able to get a store credit on any of them?' And with lightning speed she said, "I'll have to get a manager to do that." She then calls for the manager, Amanda. Amanda was super charismatic! I explained that I discussed all my returns with Customer Service and they were not helpful. Amanda empathized with my situation stating that she also has gotten stuck with items she was unable to return because the return window had already expired. She then went the extra mile and returned most of my remaining items back to the original payment. Considering this was just a few days before the holiday season would be in full swing, I needed every penny they were able to return. The kindness and wonderful customer service that these ladies showed me that day deserves a stellar review. After my chat with customer service I was about to give up on ever buying ANYTHING from Old Navy or their affiliates ever again. Now, I am so happy I decided to go into the store because I will gladly shop there again and recommend this store to friends and family. Thank you.
