I've been going to Dr Afshin and his practice for a while now. My wife got me going to him. Been traveling from Pittsburgh to see him. Well over an hour. Why travel that far. Because of the SERVICE. Him and his office staff are very nice and welcoming. His office is clean and smells good. But the main thing is that he is a very good DDS. Knowledgeable and good at what he does. I had cracked my tooth and got in to see him not long after. He was able to start and drill down my tooth and put on a cap to preserve the rest of the tooth. He was going to put it in on Christmas Eve but was able to squeeze me in sooner. He's also gentle on the numbing part. Some dentist like to shake the needle when they are poking you, but not Dr Afshin. He's a professional. You know when people what they do. He loves what he do. And other good thing about his practice is that he right on the muni line. I got there fast by public transportation then by driving. 100 percent recommend. read more

They even sent me a quote for my service via text message the day before. 1/ The 1st time i walked in the office. I already felt uncomfortable when they recommended me to remove my wisdom teeth which was unnecessary. All his staffs will recommend that same thing. - But due to the good reviews on Google and Yelp, I decided to let them clean and checkup. Plus the staffs are very friendly. - After the teeth exam, doctor told me that my teeth needed 24 fillings but never told me which teeth. He told me the old fillings got peeled off. I trust him because of the good reviews. Then i done 4 filling on the right side in 2023, My $2000 insurance gone with my $185 out of pocket money. Kind of expensive. After the filling, My right side teeth started sensitive to the cold air and painful when chew. 2/ Feb 2024, I went to see him again, and told him my right side teeth are sensitive to air blow. He said he didn't see any problem and recommend me to use Sensodyne toothpaste which I thought he tried to save my money. Then I let him do another 4 filling on my left side. another $2000 insurance gone with $195 out of pocket money. - Now my left side teeth that he touched are sensitive when i touch with my finger or chewing. Before I see this doctor, I had another dentist who completely treated my dental problems. But now I ran out of insurance money to visit my old doctor. PS: The reason I visited his office just caused online ads said that he do teeth whitening and Invisalign. My previous dentist refer me to the Orthodontics was too far away, I decided to look it up by myself. But in fact, he done none of those. His job is trying to squeeze every single penny out of my insurance. Update Apr 2, 2024: Dentist office called right after the review. I didn't response. I am losing trust in their service. I did self care by brushing with electronic toothbrush and the sensitive toothpaste (which recommended by them during the cleaning). My teeth are healing and less sensitive to cold now. I was referred here by a co-worker while looking for a dentist to fix a big chip on my front tooth. So I decided to give them a call and was able to make an appointment for the next day. When I arrived at the office, I thought I would have to wait at least an hour to see Dr. Rahimi since one patient was being treated while another was in the waiting room, but I was wrong. I was immediately called in for my cleaning with the hygienist. After she was done (she did quite a thorough job I might add), I was brought in for my exam and x-rays. Before I knew it, my front tooth was fixed and I was walking out the door! An efficient in and out visit for such a sudden appt. Not only that, but Dr. Rahimi and his staff were extremely helpful. I had just switched insurance companies and they made sure everything was verified before I walked in so that I wouldn't waste my time and end up with a huge bill after the fact. I must say that Dr Rahimi and his staff are amazing. I have been going to this dental office for a little over 2 years and all of my visits have been nothing short of excellent. They are super courteous and always on time. My most recent visit was for an invisalign consultation. The staff was great to both my daughter and me. Unfortunately, my sitter flaked and I was stuck with bringing my little one to the appointment. She cried through the whole visit (45 min total) , screaming at the top of her lungs at times. Dr. Rahimi and his assistant didn't make me feel bad and they did their best to accommodate my little girl. They even empathized with me and told me it was ok. He gave me a quick run down of what we would be doing and took a look at my teeth- He started to take pictures of my teeth and gave me an estimate on the different costs for Invisalign according to what he saw and what he knew. Once we got to making the impressions (which is not very fun), Dr. Rahimi always made sure I was okay. For those of you who don't know, impressions take up to 4 minutes to set. I had to open my mouth as wide as I could while the Dr. held my tray in place. Although we did a few trays for the top teeth and bottom, I was very comfortable and felt well taken care of. After an accident as a kid where I broke my 2 front teeth, what was left of them was capped, and have been for almost 20 years. Dr Rahimi met me as an emergency client after the natural tooth under one of the caps broke, leaving me with a missing front tooth, and a whole lot of childhood trauma coming to the surface. First, can I say I am pleased with the invisalign consultation with Dr. Rahimi! I made an appointment last month on a weekend for an invisalign consultation. Upon my arrival, I was greeted with a friendly smile and we discussed about my concerns and reason for wanting invisalign. We did talk about braces at some point because this was my first time getting anything like this done but that would be later since we won't know after the invisalign results. Dr. Rahimi then took impressions of my teeth 3 times, which was the only painful and non exciting part but that's something that can't be avoided since it was a part of the process. After he was done, we then discussed about how long it might take for the results to come back and that he will contact me to discuss about my case once he finds outs. I received a call from Dr. Rahimi today regarding about my results and I was really impressed and pleased with what we discussed about. Braces will be out of the question since it looked like my teeth were fine for invisalign. Dr. Rahimi explained to me thoroughly about my case and if I decide to go through with invisalign then it would only take less than a year to have the results that I want. He has been very professional in everything and also addressing my questions and concerns. I felt that he truly cared about my concerns for my teeth and was very honest at times to give his opinion on what he felt would be best for me. After my discussion with Dr. Rahimi, I felt confident and comfortable with the treatment and plan that I decided to go through with invisalign. I am excited and can not wait to see the end results. The office was located in Presidio Heights which was in the nicer area of SF. Parking may be a bit difficult but since it was on a weekend that I had gone to see him, it was eithwr a hit or miss with parking and luckily I didn't really have an issue. I was amazed at how the staff at this clinic were so friendly and courteous as well as efficient and effective at everything. I had been in a lot of tooth pain and was in dire need of treatment. I called this office and they fit me in as early as possible as an emergency patient. Upon entering the clinic, I was greeted by the dentist and receptionist who warmly welcomed me. Dr. Rahimi took me to the back for my exam. He went over the X-rays and carefully explained to me what needed to be done. During the procedure, Dr. Rahimi continually asked me if I was ok or uncomfortable in any way. However, the whole process went smoothly. The pain that I came in with was completely resolve once the procedure was completed. He told me that I would need some antibiotics after my procedure which the receptionist called into my pharmacy to prepare. The entire exam and dental treatment were very efficient. I never had to wait long for any part of my visit. I had braces when I was sixteen. And like every sixteen year old, I didn't wear my retainers. So to get those years back, I decided to get invisalign. Making an appointment was a breeze. On the day of my appointment, I was running a little late and called in to let Dr. Rahimi and his staff know. They told me not to worry and that they'll see me when I get there. I pulled onto Sacramento St, and quickly found a metered parking spot. I thought parking was going to be a little challenging but didn't find it to be an issue at all. The office also fills your meter for you. Just let them know where you parked on the street. Dr. Rahimi introduced himself, took his time to explain exactly what he would be doing, and addressed all questions I had. He was very gentle and always asked if I was doing okay. Getting an appointment was fairly easy and they were flexible with my schedule. Parking is not a problem either. I usually can find free 2 hour parking in the neighborhood, but in the case that you're at a meter, you can just let them know where you parked, and they will feed the meter for you! The office is nice and clean, and the service is fast and friendly. Dr. Rahimi definitely knows what he's doing and the dental hygienist is super sweet. Dr. Rahimi was able to order the products and see me the following day! Not only was he very friendly and very responsive, he was honestly compassionate. He expressed concern over my health and well being and explained to me several times that teeth whitening requires a couple of days for the gums to recover.
