CFSG FAQ Q: You're worried about what being judged…read more A: I am harnessing all my inner powers to reach through the internet and tell you nothing is further from the truth. I am absolutely convinced that there is some nice powder added to the water in Sugar Grove. You will never meet a kinder, more supportive and pleasanter (yes, it is a word I looked it up) group of people. Q: What will people think since I have not exercised in "x" years. A: For me x equaled 9 when I started. Pretty much I can sum it up like this, we are so busy trying not to die ourselves that we don't have time to think about you Q: Wait, you just said something about feeling like I'm going to die. Why in the heck would I want that? A: There are two types of feeling like you're going to die. The first is feeling like you're going to die after running. No one likes that I would not wish it upon anyone. There is a zone I found with CrossFit as it balances strength, cardio and gymnastics. You pick an intensity (Health, Athletic or Performance) and then hit it at an intensity that is challenging but doable. There is nothing better than being in control of the intensity, finding a zen moment, pushing yourself further than you thought possible and finishing the workout. Last I checked, I have never felt stronger, experienced a better quality of life and I haven't died. Q; How are CrossFit and tacos connected? A: The relationship between CrossFit and tacos is a complex one and to fully vet out would require a thorough introduction to quantum mechanics and string theory to even start. However, I can explain the personal side of the relationship. I love to eat. My body type is you kinda sort of can tell I work out, but I never turn down a taco. I CrossFit so I can eat tacos and not feel badly about it. Also, it reminds me my days in San Diego. You see, when I lived in San Diego I counted the number of taco places I would pass to get to the most awesome taco place EVER! That was number was six by the way. Yes, I could pick another taco place that was closer, but it was not the same. That is CrossFit Sugar Grove for me. People are amazed I drive thirty minutes each way to workout out in Sugar Grove. Like my taco commute days in San Diego, I probably pass four other CrossFit gyms to get to CFSG. However, I have not found a better group of people, coaches and programming that works for me. I'm not knocking other CrossFit gyms. It fits for me. Come out and try it and see if it fits for you
