I really enjoyed my first class with Spenga! I booked a class via ClassPass and was instructed to…read morearrive 30 mins early due to it being my first time. Once I arrived they had a nice little sign sitting outside that had the writing "Welcome Jade" on a whiteboard. That was the first time a company has personally welcomed me in that manner, I was pleasantly surprised. Once I entered the facility one of the first things I noticed was how clean it was and how good it smelt! The front desk lady welcomed me with a smile and gave me a tour of the facility. They have self-locking personal lockers, a bathroom with 2 showers (for the ladies, I'm assuming the men's bathroom is the same), they also provide earplugs, gum, and hair ties at the front desk. The studio itself is very impressive. It's split into 3 sections- cycling, strength, and yoga. Depending on the class you take will determine how much time you spend in a certain area. They have ride classes which is solely for cycling, Ride/Rep classes which is a mixture of cycling and strength, revive classes which is solely focused on yoga, and finally the traditional Spenga class which is the class I took and this class incorporates all 3 (Cycle, Strength, and Yoga). The Spenga class is a 60 minute class that is divided into 3 intervals of 20 mins. You get 20 minutes on the bike, 20 minutes doing strength training, and 20 minutes of Yoga. I found the class to be that perfect balance of challenging yet doable. Definitely expect to break a sweat! My instructor Lindy was great, full of energy, and motivating throughout the whole class! I sincerely enjoyed my experience here and can't wait to book another class!!

She is not amused. "Get over yourself" she says, and "If you look at yourself in the mirror one more time, I'm kicking you in the crotch" Nearly 100 sessions in the books, I have shoulders I've never had before. My stamina is through the roof. I can set the kitchen table using my glutes, including desert forks. Waking at 4:30 in the morning for the 5AM sessions with the rest of my SPENGA early AM weirdos takes a lot of adjustment, but me and the 24+ ladies "earn our sunrise", taking an hour to make ourselves a bit better than we were the day before. Give it a shot.

This gym is absolutely the worst I've ever been to. No matter when I show up, there's always…read moresomeone blatantly ignoring the rules--hogging multiple machines at once and leaving their towel on one while they use another just so they can keep bouncing back and forth. It's infuriating to stand there waiting for a machine when it's painfully obvious that some members have zero respect for anyone else trying to work out. The owner should be ashamed of how this place is run. There's only one leg press and one hack squat machine, and I never get a chance to use them because people are glued to their phones instead of actually exercising. And heaven forbid you ask to "work in" with someone--you're instantly met with a nasty attitude like you're the problem. It's maddening to see such a blatant lack of consideration, especially for women who already have to deal with so much nonsense in gyms. There's never any staff around to step in and handle these issues, so it just turns into a chaotic free-for-all. Honestly, I've even told my husband I'm seriously tempted to rent my own space, load it with all the equipment I need--including cardio machines--just so I can have a peaceful place to work out without dealing with this circus. It's high time for new ownership that actually values its members instead of just chasing profits while letting disrespect and chaos run rampant. Gym access was definitely much needed after all the food from the holidays. I came in the afternoon and by then, there was no attendant. My fob worked for entry. There was less than 10 people which is great because I hate crowded gyms. The gym was very clean with plenty of hand sanitizer and wipes in various areas. I'm glad that the other amenities such as the hydromassage and tanning were still available, even in these Covid-19 times. Clean towels were also available. Interesting to see since some gyms deem that as a covid sanitation issue. Plenty of machines, weights and squat racks. It had everything I needed. I recommend. I'd say a con is the lack of lockers if you are worried about getting your things stolen. Masks are required but optional in strenuous activity. Some people didn't wear a mask but people socially distanced.
