In this day age it's just as easy to order on the phone and then open your door. I want to say yesterday was really nice. The selection and value at Kohl's was very good. The store was clean and organized. Which isn't an easy task with all the people that just like to leave things in various places anymore. Our checkout clerk Lily was so pleasant, she just made our day. She wasn't just doing it for a tip either. No photos are included of me in my new clothes, but trust me, we saved enough we both smiled.

They took care of it after spending 28 min on the phone, and transferred my paid-for pickup order to the Parkersburg, WV store. The guy reassured me he would call the Parkersburg store to make sure they held it for me. I have a property there and it worked out for me despite being so far from my home. I Arrived to pickup a week later. Staff couldn't find my item at first. Then proceeded to tell me my item wasn't paid for and that I would need to pay if I wanted it. They weren't polite at all, except the cashier, and seemed thoroughly confused. The whole experience was terrible. I paid for the item just so I could get out of there, and drove around to the side of the building for pickup. There were two in stock. The first one I grabbed had a tag on it with my name. I asked the person helping when that tag had been placed on it. He replied wasn't sure but that it had to have been prior to that day. This reinforced what I already knew (I had paid for it). I called their corporate office again to get my refund. That call took 29 minutes. After 57 minutes, two phone calls, two trips to two of their stores 350 miles apart, I finally got my item and my refund on the over charge. I will never do business with them again. All I wanted was to give them money for an item they had in stock. It was so difficult! FYI - there is a Rural King and multiple other stores nearby in Parkersburg. Drive by this place and shop elsewhere!

To say that this is an overwhelming experience for someone not familiar with Gabe's is an understatement. First stop, the West Virginia section of just everything West Virginia - shirts, sweatshirts, long sleeve tee's blankets, stadium blankets, football WVU branded items - for men, women, children, baby, household and oh what prices. $3 to roughly $20 made for exceptional stocking stuffers for me. As a side note, I went back two more times in my 5 day stay in Parkersburg. You cannot take it all in, in one visit. I bought a pair of velvet Talbots red (perfect for Christmas!) slacks for $7, with the tag for $128 still attached. The downside of this is that I didn't realize until I got back to New Jersey that the security tag is STILL ON! (so still need to figure that one out). Got a J Crew blouse for $2, not a tshirt, a nice black blouse. What you need to keep in mind is that you will need to spend a good bit of time going through racks and racks of items with absolutely no rhyme or reason as to how they display them. Not by size, not by season, not by anything. But you will have fun.
