Humans are not forgotten as they have a relaxing area for puppy parents to visit and keep an eye on Fido. Though Milton caused some issues on the grounds, the owners are making quick work of the clean up. There is also a pool for puppers to cool of and enjoy a wet ball toss. There is a small fee to keep the pool clean, but it is well worth it. They also have boarding services and other dog minded accommodations. Bring your poop bags and check them out for a day of fun in the sun that is 5 paws certified!

After my previous dog walker was unable to continue her services, I found Leia's online and called in desperation for a dog walker within a 2 days notice. Keith and Leslie set me up with a meet and greet appointment the following day and were able to get walking with my dog the day after! I trust them with my dog and in my home, as they are retired correctional officers; licensed, insured, & bonded; and provide receipts. The first day they came to walk my dog, they even brought him a new toy. I was nervous the first day Keith came to care for my dog, so I looked in my safety camera and found him hugging my dog. Sorry to snap the pic below Keith, but if this doesn't say how kind they are I don't know what will! *In desperation with a hurricane on the way, I realized I left two chairs and a table on my patio. Being on vacation, I called Leia's and begged them to stop by for whatever cost to bring my porch items inside. They even played dress up and watched Christmas movies. There is no one else we would trust to watch our dog Henry. He's like our child and we love him so much. She understands and takes excellent care of him every time. She also doesn't watch other dogs while she's watching your dog. She has her own two dogs and they are very gentle and playful. Henry loves visiting them and having a puppy vacation.

When I first met Lauren, I was in front of the Flagler Humane Society, planning to surrender my dog…read moreJohnny back to the shelter. When Johnny saw Lauren, he was ecstatic, recognizing her from her working with him in the shelter before he was adopted out the first time. She laughed when he jumped up on her and wanted to know his name. I said, "Johnny," but she said, "No, his other name." Well, it was Boo. It wasn't but an instant until I was in tears again because I had become quite attached to Johnny during the 5 months I had him. He was so strong, had pulled the leash out of my hand and dragged me to the ground multiple times, and showed aggression to my family and their friends and their animals. That morning I had just met with a trainer who told me he could rehabilitate Johnny from his aggressive behavior but it would cost me $3500. This after having spent over $1500 already in training and vet bills. I was at my wits end. Lauren was so glad to see Johnny Boo Boo, and she saw so much potential in him that, on the spot, she asked me not to return him to the shelter. She told me she was a trainer and promised me that she would help me learn to manage him, to work with him and me as long as necessary to allow me to keep him and not charge me one dime. I agreed to try. She came the next day for our first session. In spite of Johnny being so excited to see her, she was able to help me make great strides with him. I was so amazed that she not only was able to get him to perform the commands she gave, but was able to teach me how to get him to perform those commands myself. I had most of the equipment I needed but didn't know how to use it. He had gotten out of a prong collar earlier this week. She told me it was too loose and fitted it to his neck. Then she gave me a safety collar to use with it to make sure he didn't get loose. I had bought a shock collar, but didn't know how to operate it. She familiarized herself with the model then proceeded to teach me how to use it in a humane and effective way to help bring Johnny under my authority. We are set to meet again tomorrow, and I am so excited. I have been practicing 3 commands with Johnny and anxious to make even more progress. It is so obvious in working with Lauren in just one session that she loves the animals and owners she works with and loves her work. In just the one session with Johnny, it was like he was a different dog. Thank you, Lauren, for helping Johnny stay with his sister Frankie and me, and for us to be a family.
