I called to see if they had any vacancy and the owner confirmed he had rooms. He also asked for an approximate time of arrival so he could turn on the air conditioner and have the room nice and cool for our arrival. Am I glad I gave this place a chance. I'm very pleased. It's very quiet here. The room is equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The room is also very clean and the receptionist is very friendly. She made sure to let us know that if we needed anything she was available 24/7.

First and foremost, we opened the door of the room and could smell the clean. The importance of this when staying in a motel cannot be underestimated. But just as importantly, the staff was super helpful and can I say adorable? We felt like we were having an experience rather than just another piece of chattel getting run through the gates. I know for a fact that there are several places just down the road that have slightly nicer amenities at twice the price, but if you want hospitality and esoteric, you won't do better than the Apollo Inn.

This hotel is only about 7 minutes across the bridge from KSC. ROOMS: So spacious and clean! Very updated! I had a view of the water so wvery morning I could see the sun beating off the water and the room was super bright! They have sustainable toiletries that smelled amazing. The rooms also came with binoculars and cute little Astronaut starlight that you could take home for a fee! PARKING: Free parking and plenty of it on site FOOD: They have the Space Bar which we enjoyed! Located on the roof of the hotel, it's so beautiful in the evening! They have a full service bar and great food selection. You can reserve a section that has jumbo games and photo worthy backgrounds. The view alone is amazing and you can also see shuttles launch from here! We missed one by a day!! Food was so good, great portions and the creme brulee was LOVE! They also have a bar in the lobby entrance of the hotel where you can order food (try the fries!) alongside a Starbucks grab and go! I'm unsure if there is room service available though. HOTEL: As a whole, this hotel was SUPER unique with Astronaut and space details everywhere. Loved the life like Astronaut in the lobby! They also have this robot that will being linens to your room! There is a screen that you can draw on with your finger, which would be so fun for kids. Pool, beautiful patio, gym, and the service was also wonderful. Will be back!!!

Stayed here for 1 night on 2/14/2026. Rating for the room itself is 3, as the property states rooms…read morewere recently remodeled. Although the beds were comfortable and bathroom does show signs of recent remodel the sitting area where the sofa and sofa bed is located is a complete miss. The room has no ventilation, sofa bed is unusable, as the mattress is extremely thin, and the lighting made the whole room feel as if one is in a warehouse. Also the shower door was does not seal properly allowing water to flow onto bathroom floor. However the true problem and the reason for the 1 star rating began the moment I attempted to check in. I booked a room that does not require a credit card. In addition confirmation clearly states, "Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation." However upon check in I was told my room was cancelled and given away due to non payment and they have no other rooms available. Confirmation clearly states, "before check-out" not before check in. Please imagine yourself walking in with your family along with 2 small children and hearing, "it's too late. We cancelled your room due to non-payment and there are no rooms available." With all my years of traveling I have never heard of or experienced a property attempt to charge my no credit card required reservation before check in. In addition, being an IHG Platinum Rewards member this never should have happened. Everything should have been done by this property to ensure my room was available and ready. Since this property was overbooked. I can only assume they were trying to double dip, as stated in cancellation policy, "Canceling your reservation after 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on 13 February, 2026, or failing to show, will result in a charge of 1 night per room to your credit card." I had stated on my reservation I will be checking in at 8 pm. By cancelling my reservation they were able to charge me for 1 night stay and rebook my room at the current rack rate. If this property went to these extremes to 1 of IHG's top tier members. Really imagine what would happen to a consumer with little or no loyalty status and imagine yourself in this situation. That consumer along with their family and young ones would most likely be spending the night in their car in Walmart's parking lot. Although this experience is no fault of IHG itself, as this property is a franchise. I do hold IHG responsible. My daughter (who is a IHG Diamond Elite Member) and I would most likely consider Marriott or Hilton for our next vacation and business plans, as we have lost trust in IHG after this horrifying experience. Yes, this property attempted to screw 2 top tier elite IHG loyalty members in 1 shot. However I must give acknowledgment to Danielle and Connor who corrected and made right this huge mistake. One that should not have happened to begin with.

I always wanted to stay on a boat (smaller than a ship), a bucket list item. They come up on searches and many look suspiciously dirty. The the Shangrila came up on my search and I said why not. It was the cheapest and surely not the most expensive. But, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodations and the cleanliness. It was ready for everything fully stocked in the kitchen including a dishwasher. Kudos whoever choose the bedding. What a great nights sleep!! What kind of pillows are on the bed!!!! (Forgot to look). Convenient restaurant with amazing key lime pie! Only feedback is there was a problem with our third party booking site getting the information to us the check-in, as there is no one there. Easy call to the staff taken care of in less than 5 minutes. Remove dead plants, also, people sailing through don't always follow "no wake" rules!! Only in the day did we experience that and not that often. This is a new favorite thing to do!!! We plan on returning!

Buyer beware! I had a five night stay booked at this property in one of the townhomes. When I…read morearrived, I immediately realized that the home was not as clean as it should have been. The furniture was grossly stained, the bed in the master bedroom was so rickety that even a small amount of pressure caused the whole thing to sway, Lightbulbs were blinking in the master bathroom, and dead bugs were on the floor. I immediately called their guest services number and spoke with a gentleman who was actually quite helpful and compassionate about the situation. I sent them the same photos. I have posted below, and they agreed that the property should not have been in that condition. They offered to show me a Condo which was smaller as an alternative. When we toured it prior to deciding if we would stay or not, we saw the same issues with gross stains on the furniture, and gooey smudges on the wall. We refuse to accept that as an alternative, as it was not at all an improvement. Their final attempt at providing a solution was at a newer property, which was nice in terms of its condition, but it was farther away from where we needed to stay making the drive inconvenient for us. It was also a two bedroom apartment when we had five people and two dogs on our booking. Because I booked through hotels.com, the property refused to work with me directly on the issues and told me it had to go through the booking agent. I requested a refund through hotels.com on Sunday, and it was not until Thursday that the property even bothered to reply and offered a 25% refund for a trip that I never even took. Their customer service agents are like gatekeepers and refused to allow you to speak to upper management. They only divert you back to hotels.com, which I understand from a policy perspective, but from a customer service perspective, it leaves much to be desired. I believe that because they offered me options, none of which were good ones, they believe they did not need to provide me with a refund. Just know that if you choose to book here, that if something goes wrong, you will likely not be compensated. We did not stay a single night and left within hours of checking in. They still believe a refund was not needed. Find anywhere else to stay but here.

Thought it was odd there was no safe in the room so we kept our things locked in our luggage. We decided to put laundry in and sat outside at the pool bar to order food and met Renee. She is one busy woman with all the people here demanding drinks and food and doesn't blink an eye. She was so kind and hard working. She must have filled up my ice water at least six times without me even asking her. We ordered the mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers. The mozzarella sticks were good but the chicken fingers were hard and tasted peppery. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the location was perfect. The ability to do laundry was a plus. The outdoor patio with fire pits was nice and the pool was huge. We will definitely stay here again when we come back. Also, Renee needs a raise!

A few small things to consider- do not expect world class paddle boards, there is one SUP paddle that functions and two old paddle boards- kayaks seemed ok. The walk to the beach does require crossing a busy road, but once there it IS a nice beach, but you must bring all your own gear, including beach towels. There are not any beach rental chairs, etc. nearby. The wifi did not seem to work for us, the fan in the spare bedroom had a short apparently so my first night trying to sleep, it got up to 78 degrees in the room as we could not adjust the temp on the thermostat, the couch is not comfortable, the streaming buffered, so it took a couple hours to get that to work, there is a neighboring house with a large dog barking and although they warn you, I find it strange for the nightly price ($336/night!) to offer a small soap and shampoo. There is a washer, no dryer. The blankets were thin, beds were decent and the place was clean. There are no screens on any of the windows so you can't really get fresh air and there was a wasp nest above our bathroom window so definitely didn't want to leave a window ajar while showering. There is a "no refund" policy, so you are stuck there as we had wanted to check out after our first of two nights. There are not any walkable restaurants nearby. We were offered a couple of free nights to make up for all the mishaps we had. All in all, there were nice chairs and solitude by their water's edge. I could see a family enjoying the grounds and playing the outdoor games they had, but for us it was a letdown for the price. I think some people would be perfectly happy here but we had a lot of stress upon check-in and so many things not working properly.

Hilton has a huge parking lot this is open to the public for $25. The influx of people that would otherwise beach at the Motel 6, was never ending. Suitcase size radios with competing music was exhausting. Pool.. nice that it was heated in March and the splash pad is thoughtful. The actual pool area is small, chairs are tired.
