    Kitchenette with real dishes

This motel is a hidden treasure. My wife and I came for the Falcon 9 launch and the motel really is right across the street from the rocket launch observation area. The rate was extremely reasonable and the room was really clean. The kitchenette with the k cup coffeemaker and real dishes allowed me to get my head out of the clouds before starting the day. Pet friendly with tile floors. This is not a Sandals Resort, so don't expect the posh stuff. This is even better; it's like being at home when you're away from home. Taco Bell is right next door and everything else that you may need is close by, you just need to venture out a little. Very nostalgic place, reminds me of times when I was young. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.

Gosh his hotel is fun. The rates are reasonable and the location is top notch. It's cute and charming. If you want a five star Eurospa hotel, it's probably not your jam, but if you want a classic mid-century Florida style motel to stay at when you explore Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center, you can't do better. It's clean, comfy, and the owners are very friendly. You also have a great view of the Indian River. I won't be staying anywhere else from now on.

It's right on the water…read morewith a great view toward the launch area, and the rooms have a modern, space-themed design that fits the location well. That said, I wouldn't stay at Marriott again after this. They seem to have gone downhill and have no quality control for how they treat guests. Rooms are luck of the draw. The first room was dirty. There was literally a thick layer of "moon dust" all over. So we brought it up with the front desks saying hey, this is a $300/night room. The most expensive hotel in the area. So...they moved us to a room that smelled musty with obvious air conditioner problems. (Knowing we have an infant with us to expose him to mold... perfect, thanks!) We decided it's fine, we will just accept that's the level of service here and stay somewhere else next time. We're honestly not that picky. There are also some missing amenities that are hard to overlook. For example, there are no mini fridges. Instead, the hotel provides what it calls "mini coolers" that can only keep items slightly cool--they're not actual refrigerators. I honestly can't remember the last time I stayed at a $300-per-night hotel without a real mini fridge. Even $40 roadside motels typically provide one. And if anyone thinks I'm not reasonable, it does matter when you have something like formula or breast milk. For a family/child friendly hotel, it's not acceptable. The coffee setup was also disappointing. Every Hilton I've stayed at has included a Keurig with brand name coffee pods. Here, they use inexpensive coffee makers that take up valuable desk space and seem like they'll just end up in a landfill when they're eventually replaced. It feels like an unnecessary cost-cutting measure. When guests are paying premium rates, basic amenities like a refrigerator and a decent coffee maker shouldn't be optional. It's a disappointing experience for Marriott.

I almost always choose Marriott first, with Hilton brands as my second option. That said, I booked the Fairfield Inn Titusville Kennedy Space Center simply based on location--it was close to where I needed to be the next day and part of a hotel brand I've long trusted. When I pulled into the property, I noticed it was situated right off the highway among several other roadside options like Days Inn and other economy-tier stops. I was tired, but it was a Fairfield, and I expected it would meet my basic needs: a clean place to finish up work, hop on a conference call, and get a good night's rest. Unfortunately, my experience was far from what I've come to expect from Marriott. Like I always do, I pulled back the sheets to check the cleanliness of the bed--something I've done habitually for years--and this time, I wasn't so lucky. When I lifted the fitted sheet, I found bugs. Horrified, I packed up immediately and called Bonvoy support, explaining the situation and requesting a refund. I also made it clear I didn't want to be double billed as I was leaving the hotel due to unsanitary conditions. Disappointingly, the Bonvoy representative apologized but informed me there was "nothing she could do" and that I had to handle it locally with the hotel. For someone who has been loyal to Marriott for years and is supposed to be a "valued" Bonvoy member, that response was incredibly disheartening. It felt like my loyalty didn't matter once an issue arose. It's easy to offer service when things go right, but it's how a brand manages the tough moments that truly defines customer experience--and Bonvoy completely missed the mark. Fortunately, the gentleman working the front desk at the Fairfield Inn was gracious, understanding, and clearly embarrassed. He handled the situation with professionalism and care. He immediately reversed the charge on my corporate card and even offered to help find me another hotel. While I had already secured a new room elsewhere, I thanked him sincerely--his response was exactly what I had hoped for from Marriott corporate. It's a shame he had to carry the weight of a failure that wasn't his alone. There were also some red flags I brushed off upon arrival that, in hindsight, were telling. For instance, the elevator call button didn't work. If you needed to use the elevator from the lobby, you had to notify the front desk so they could go into the control room and send it manually. From your room, you had to call down to have it summoned. While I personally don't mind stairs, I can recognize how inconvenient this would be for a guest with luggage or accessibility needs. In the end, while the front desk associate salvaged what could've been a total disaster, my confidence in the Marriott brand has taken a real hit. I expect better--not just from the rooms, but from the organization as a whole when it comes to supporting their customers in difficult moments.

Then in earlyish November, I realized two launch windows were scheduled for Friday night 11/14, so I started looking at our hotel options. After some research, I decided on Hyatt Place Titusville for their Launch Viewing Room & I-95 access. The day of check-in, before we'd left Tampa, I called the hotel to ask about the availability of an east-facing hotel room. Grace was able to accommodate my request, and assigned us a room on the 5th floor near the elevator. This room also had a window that opened a few inches so we could HEAR the crackle, rumble & roar of each launch! The first launch of the night was on schedule, around 10:45pm. I peeked in the Launch Viewing Room a few minutes before lift-off but found a huge crowd so I went back to our room & opened the window. The view from our room was fantastic! And the sound was also incredible! The second launch ended up going much later, around 1:45am, so being able to watch that one from our hotel room was priceless. I literally sat up to watch from the end of my bed & then crawled back up to my pillows to go back to sleep. I loved the space art throughout this hotel! The lobby, hallways, and even our room's bathroom, had art that reflected the area's history in space exploration. I want to return JUST to see the pieces I may have missed! As we checked out, I had the chance to thank Grace for her spectacular room assignment. She even offered us water bottles to-go, which I greatly appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here & will definitely return!

There were a few problems, but Devin kept a winning attitude, and I would trust her with my next check ins, should we return to this location. The lobby was one of the nicest we've seen in a Holiday Inn. The rooms were quiet, the bed comfortable, the shower pressure was good and the mini refrigerator kept our drinks cold. The breakfast buffet in the attached restaurant was very good, Kudos to Dave for keeping the items fresh and delicious. Katie, Julie and Tara were great hosts, even though I observed them receiving very little appreciation. We visited the buffet every day of our stay. Too bad there wasn't a launch during our stay, because our room window faced Cape Canaveral.

If you're in a first floor room you can park very near to your room. The breakfast room is adjacent to the pool and in yet another building. Our room was in the back of the last building. Later, we saw a group farther back from the building actively cooking. We could smell the smoke in our room. Our room was OK in that it was clean. The bed was comfortable. Fortunately, there was no carpet. We did hear noise from an adjoining room and from the room above, but it didn't last long. The faucet handles made creaky sounds when turned. There was a stall shower with a curtain, and plenty of hot water. The great BW Argan oil shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were in dispensers. The motel is located some distance inland from downtown Titusville. It's within easy waking distance of Waffle House and a few other places to eat. Breakfast was ok... pretty much the usual BW fare, with the addition of biscuits and gravy... which were pretty good. No, we wouldn't stay there again... but it worked out OK for our situation at the time.
