The items are not cheaply made or gaudy kitsch, plus the items vary in price points to affordable through to the "say what?!" price. The inventory runs from new to vintage refurbished. Plus the owner always has some unique one of kind finds. Last year, he had a vintage restored warehouse scale. He went into the shop and tried on a pair of slip-on sandals. Happy with the shoes he tried on, the employee went to the back and brought out a box. My son paid and left. He only wore the shoes into the Podiatrist office. The Podiatrist informed him he was sold women's shoes that was why they didn't feel right. When he took the shoes back they would not exchange them for the men's shoe he was supposed to get. He had to pay for yet another pair of shoes. Upon returning to the store with my son, the man (possible owner) was rude and unwilling to make THEIR mistake right. We will never shop there again and we will definitely be sharing our experience with everyone we know! It is a shame when you want to support a local store and the customer service is so pathetic.

The lady told me the end of the week it would be done. Never herd back. Called a week 1 1/2 weeks later and the owner went to check on it and said "oh its still sitting where you left it on the front counter, I'll have it done today for you! We'll decided to let that go and myself and my husband went in and ordered his SAR hat(as tgey are the only ones that can do them). We were specifically told 1 to 1 1/2 weeks. Well that passed and I called and left a message asking where our order was. I received a text back stating it was done. Drove down there and it wasn't even correct! They didn't even put my husband's name on it! So I have to drive all the way back(we live up country) to get it today. I called and asked for a discount due to the issues. He said what issues? So I told him it wasn't ready when promised and then you told me it was done when it wasn't and now I have to drive all the way back. He just went silent! I said "I'll take that as a no?" He goes ya no it was just delayed...then he says I think I told you we were backed up. I told him no sorry that was never told to us and it was more than just delayed that it wasn't even right when you said it was completed. He then said well you already paid right and I said yes to he just offered a discount on a future purchase. I told him we wouldn't ever come back after both orders being a mess and neither being done when told, Im sure glad we didnt need them by a certain time! Told him he had crappy customer service as well. Not sure why he can't understand there was way more wrong than just a delay with both orders and a discount for the hat issues should be given.(not store credit). If it was done correctly when he said it was and I went to go get it then a little delay would have been OK but this is unexceptional! I wouldnt recommend having any work done here!

I was hoping for more Capri pants which were out of stock. Instead, she offered to have her seamstress hem the longer pants to look like Capri's with the little side slit at the hem for a nominal fee. That is a person who goes all out to please her customers. Since I live 2 hours from the shop, I called and ordered them to be shipped. What was so adorable, was that the owner offered to meet me in a nearby city in the Bay Area to bring them to me since she is coming to visit a friend anyway. It really touched me how genuinely caring and sweet this owner is and how she is willing to go the EXTRA MILE. (Pun intended!) I am very glad to be a repeat customer and when I am in town I will always revisit her store. Meanwhile, ordering over the phone and having them shipped is WELL worth my time and money! I've shopped at Boot Barn before, but this location takes the cake. The interior design is modern, the merch is staged beautifully, easy to maneuver spacious floor plan (cause nobody likes to be jammed up), the inventory is plentiful, and the staff is welcoming and helpful (so much so I was asked multiple times if I needed assistance, totally cool with that versus being ignored especially in such a big store). With a name of Boot Barn, they definitely live up to that with a massive selection of boots ... western wear and work wear. Multiple aisles of boots. The men's selection is on the left and women's on the right far side are f the shop. You can't miss 'em. The front left is where they display cowboy hats (men's and women's) with brands such as Stetson and Cody James. They also men's and women's clothes and accessories (belts, buckles, trucker caps, cologne). The price points match the quality of the brands. Not saying they are excessively expensive, but aren't cheap either. The merchandise is not one time, throw away quality. They do have the occasional sales. Look for the red sales signs. I wasn't in the market for boots but barely walked out without purchasing a pair. There were so many that caught my eye and I tried on. So comfy and pretty.

I wish I had gone in sooner! The clothes Sue carries are for women of ALL ages. Super cute clothes that flatter all of us, no matter our age or style. Sue, herself, is wonderful and so helpful in pulling clothes out for customers to try. Her eye is impeccable. Sue's Shoppe is one of very few in the county that carries higher quality clothes, and I have yet to go into the store and leave without purchasing something. Support local instead of online shopping!
