We had a couple of hours to kill before our Mercer Caverns tour so we meandered in and out of Murphy's Main Street shops. Jane & Jean sells clothing, shoes, & accessories from "boutiquey" brands (as opposed to big store brands), & most finds are frilly, flowy, & ultra feminine. I ended up buying a few fun Pura Vida bracelets, which I'm sure I'll wear all summer long. The staff allowed me to browse without hovering, but were on hand to help. read more

I stopped in a few days ago to just take a look and ended up buying some adorable tall over the knee coffee colored boots. They had such adorable items and even a kids section with really cute little items. A big variety of sizes from xs-xl and plus sizes. Prices are good and quality seems pretty high on most items. I went into each store (they have two shops just a few doors apart) and both clerks were super helpful and friendly. read more

I wish I knew who helped me so I could give her a mini shoutout but this place is so cute! The lady who helped me was amazing! She was so nice and I told her I was doing my graduation pics so I needed a cute outfit. She walked around and helped me pick out several dresses and she even knew what size I would be and everything! She made me a dressing room while I looked around a bit more and then I tried everything on! The clothes at the boutique are so nice and I found one I'll be using! The picture attached is the dress I bought and one of the dressing rooms! My mum recommended this shop to me and she goes often, and I'll definitely be back for some more things! Edit: I live in Murphys, and my family has lived here for 10 years. But nice try :) I walk through town almost every day and you literally have signs up saying that your staff has ADA exemptions. It's an irresponsible and a dangerous practice. And since my original review got deleted with the update... For months, this store has had a sign up in their windows that their staff has ADA exemptions and may not be wearing a mask. This is not how ADA exemptions work, I work in healthcare. An exemption only means you get reasonable accommodation and only applies to those who are physically incapable of removing/managing their own masks. This usually applies to people with movement disorders like cerebral palsy, paraplegia, etc. It is remarkably irresponsible and callous to endanger the community in which you work. Be better. read more

Wow this store in the middle of no where stuff you can find at Nordstrom's. Kut from the cloth, lace bralettes, free people etc. the owner helped me find clothes it was pretty awesome. She has awesome clothes and accessories. read more

I have been coming up to Murphy's for decades and I must say that no matter how many wineries they put in this town, the best thing about it is Jane & Jeans! Okay, maybe the spice shop too but I digress. The clothes here are amazing! I swear they purchase just for me...There are very few items I wouldn't buy. Every season surprises me more and they are extremely helpful at finding you things that you might not have noticed. A lot of times those are the items I end up purchasing. I have begged them to set up shop in Carmel but they are happy in Murphy's so I'll just have to keep visiting...The owner and her daughter are the best. Thank you ladies! read more

Made a little 4 day trip to Angles Camp, within the days I was there I checked on Yelp to see what was around. Luckily this incredible boutique was only 20 min away in Murphy's. Such cute clothes, tanks, jeans, sweaters and more. The young girl working the store was very nice, helped me out with sizes. I bought a pair of cute sunglasses, two very comfy fleece leggings, and two tops and I love them great quality! When I make my next trip to Angles Camp I will definitely hit Murphy's again!! read more

Was in town for a wedding this past weekend and me and a couple girl friends were walking down the main street, on the way to wine tasting, when we saw this really cute boutique. We all agreed, that we'd go wine taste, ditch the boys and come wreak some havoc here later before they closed. Well... Many wine hours later, we were walking over to dinner and were hoping this place would still be open. I knew it was highly unlikely, but was so hoping it would be either way. To my dismay, they were in fact closed. As we were collecting our sorrows, I saw someone inside. I knocked, not to be that intrusive person, but didn't see tmwr's hours posted and wanted to find out when they would be open. The lady opened the door, I asked, and she welcomed us in to shop. We were in absolute disbelief. Her and her daughter were there, both run the shop and they were the sweetest, most favorite thing about my day! Totally blew me away that they would open their shop just to accommodate us. My friend's were able to buy their tank tops and happily skipped away to dinner, all with a great smile, thanks to these two. I will add... they were beautiful and not a wrinkle in them after we made our way all around the town. Thanks again ladies! read more

If you're looking for unique,classic,great quality clothes and shoes Jane and Jean is for you. We stopped at Murphy's during the Thanksgiving holiday. We were window shopping and their display caught our eyes. Made a comment out loud to my son, they wouldn't carry my size! The sales reps were outstanding, extremely kind and helpful went the extra mile to help. I bought some beautiful embroidered jeans with sequins and the owner found a sweater to go with them. We were going to dinner afterwards so I walked out of the store with a new outfit. There's beautiful accessories as well as under garments, soaps, boots! It's a must stop boutique that stands out in awesomeness highly recommend them!!!! I've received loads of compliments on my outfit from them. read more

I love this place. We were visiting with my niece who lives in Murphys and we we just walking down Main Street and went into this store. I rarely buy clothes from a boutique, but the lady who waited on me was terrific and I bout several items. My niece also bought me a blouse. However, the lady at the cashier was not very friendly and when we came out that evening to go out to dinner and I good out my clothing, they were a winkled mess!! Not folded, just jammed into the bag. Great! I was so excited to be able to wear my new items out to dinner. NOT!! Lady, the younger one in the store - get a grip. I have never worked in retail but I know how to fold clothes to place in a bag and they won't get wrinkled and your bag was big enough to do that. I will shop there again and I will make sure my items are folded correctly. Thank you to the other lady who waited on us. And thank you to my niece for taking me there. read more
