Located in a corporate business area like place. Outside, there's a shared patio, ping pong table, bars, seats, etc. Love that the lobby has things to do for all ages; play area for toddlers to adolescents, iPad station, magazines for parents to read. And the space them is so cool! Only bummed that when we came, there was no more coffee machine anymore like we saw in a photo. The staff are all so great! So very nice and we usually just come for our 3yo and 1yo's annual checkups and follow up cleanings. The dentist, she was very nice as well. Answered all the questions we had. The 1st time we were here, we were given a a little tour which was nice. Once the kids are done with their visit, they get to grab a toy & sticker near the exit door back to the lobby. They also do take a photo of your kiddos for their profile and will mail you a card! You can opt out of having your child's photo posted on their wall of patients. My son has been going to Dixon Orthodontics for several years. We've had an incredible experience with Dr. Brenda and all her administrative and dental staff. In the administrative side, Julie is someone that always greets you with a nice smile and does her best to accommodate appointments, she always reminds you by text of upcoming appointments which is extremely helpful and responds quickly to texts and any concerns you might have. She's an advocate for you and your children. My son was in a lot of pain due to his permanent retainer, she quickly got him in and my son was able to enjoy his weekend without having pain. Today, my son had a follow up appointment and I forgot to ask for the letter that show's he had an appointment so I could provide it to the school, I called and asked her if she could send it to me and within a couple of minutes Julie had texted me that letter! Transferred to Dr Hunt after moving to San Diego for college and I must say, I'm very impressed with her detail oriented thought process. My previous ortho had seemingly put no thought into the process for braces for my unordinary asymmetrical teeth. Dr Hunt takes time to examine my bite each visit, making sure that she is not only clearing my gums of spaces, but also ensuring a sound bite. Dr Hunt is great as she has done a wonderful job with all three of my kids as they are all in different phases of braces. I have one kid that's in the last phase of braces another one that is starting on phase 2 after going through phase one of expanders and making room in her mouth. I have a daughter (15yrs old) and a son (almost 13). We saw Dr. Brenda Caillouel about a 1 1/2 years ago just for a consult. At that time my daughter was seeing another orthodontist and we wanted to make sure the treatment was going as planned because we had some concerns. Dr. Brenda never talked down about the current orthodontist and she explained to me why the doctor was doing what he was doing with my daughter's teeth. She also told me what to expect for her treatment and basically left an open door if we wanted to return. In addition, the current orthodontist was pushing to put braces on my son and Dr. Brenda said he wasn't quite ready. Well, we absolutely did return this week. It has been a year since my daughter has had her braces off and I see one of her teeth moving (she wears her retainers religiously). Dr. Brenda adjusted her retainer and set up a plan to get that tooth in the right position with little effort which made me and my daughter happy. Dr. Brenda even addressed my daughter's jaw problems and wisdom teeth! Plus, now my son is really ready for braces and with his case it should only be a year long. Let me start off by saying that I went to three different orthodontics offices before choosing Dixon. I was apprehensive at first, but everyone from Dr. Brenda, to Mary and Kenna at the front desk, to the assistants, Gloria and Anna have all been so welcoming and kind. The office is clean, and modern, and the short wait times are excellent. Dr. Brenda explains things very simply and to the point and is very knowledgeable.. I've experienced far less pain with having my braces (at 35 mind you,) than I was expecting, and I think that's do to Dr. Brenda and the amazing staff at Dixon ortho. This review is directed at the billing/customer service department, as to my knowledge my daughter who is a patient here has not had any issues with her orthodontia. I set up a payment plan in late 2016 involving 10 monthly payments. However, I noticed that I'd been charged all the money in only 7 payments, with some charges for double and triple the amount. So, I called for the first time on August 4th, and inquired about why I had been charged more than the monthly amount. Jasmine said that they would look into it and get back to me the next day. I received no callback for 2 weeks, so I called again, and learned that nothing had been done to review the charges. Jasmine made some sort of excuse about accounting taking a long time to look at things, sometimes to 2-3 weeks; it had already been 2-3 weeks. Jasmine said she would call me back the next day with an update; I received no call. Then I called the following day, and Jasmine said accounting had left for the day, and that she would call me back the next day. That did not happen, and I waited again. Finally I called again and talked with Esmeralda, who was responsive and did get back to me when she said she would, but unfortunately she still had to go through Jasmine, who reportedly would be getting in touch with me about a "refund" of some sort, due to charges that we made to my card that should have gone to my ex-wife's credit card (which continually was getting declined). I said okay, but that I would at least like to see the ledger so I could understand how they wound up charging me for 10 months worth of payments in 7 months. Yet again, no call back. I finally called again after ANOTHER 2 weeks, and they magically said that they had refunded me $507, which was incorrect and far too much of a refund. Therefore, I asked them to cancel the check they supposedly sent (which they never actually sent, even though they assured me they would), and I requested (again) that they send me the ledger. I finally received a copy of the ledger and it showed that they had recorded the wrong credit card (my ex-wife's) on my account, and mistakenly were charging that card (which was getting declined), and were incorrectly applying late charges to my account. These late charges were incurred by my ex-wife, not me. It was only $75 worth of late charges, which I easily identified after 10 minutes of looking at the ledger. So, I called again and was given a dismissive answer by Jasmine about them having lots of actual customers and patients to deal with, and how if I wanted $75 back I could have it and she would put it in that day. (Note: my child is an ACTUAL, current patient.) That was on 9/1, and again I called back on 9/8 asking about my refund, got the same response about accounting being slow, and to expect a call with status the next day. Of course, no call came. Finally I called back again on 9/22, was told that the refund was already submitted (of course no communication or confirmation about that), and I should see the money on my card. I did not see anything on my credit card, though, and had not received a check either. At this point, I was told I would be called back. Surprise, no call back. I called AGAIN on 9/25, and am STILL waiting for resolution to a small problem that should've been resolved within 2 days with 1 email and 2 phone calls. $75 might not seem like a lot, but if this is how they handle resolving errors on their part (in account management, in customer service, and in billing), I am certainly not going to provide any means for a recurring payment in the future. After all, it could've been an error for $1500 or more that would've really set me back, where I would have been on the phone endlessly with them for months now trying to recover money that STILL hasn't arrived. This issue is still not resolved. It's clear from how Dixon Ortho is handling this that they're disorganized and cannot be counted on for accuracy or even their word that they'll return a simple phone call. My overall impression is that, despite my being very patient & pleasant even up until this point, their goal is to get me off the phone as quickly as possible, and once they hang up, they completely disregard anything they told me about resolving this problem. After putting WAY too much effort into trying to solve this, I can't trust Dixon Ortho with my payment information. read more

Great office, very nice and professional people and doctor, very well organized staff. This review is somewhat of a review on the institutionalized practice of multiple phases which this office also practices we found. Our child went through the process of spacers, extractions, and braces which I figured was it. I wasn't sure why we were continuing to go in but I figured it was part of the process. They only had a thin retainer wire on his bottom set which was inadequate as, over the course of the next few months to about a year caused one of the teeth to rotate about 45 degrees. I had wondered why they didn't fit a full retainer but I figured they weren't worried about it so I wouldn't either. Then the doctor said that the teeth weren't supposed to shift like that and finally issued a retainer in the hopes that it would re-straighten those teeth. It worked a little but nothing near where the teeth were upon the removal of the braces. I didn't say anything because I figured they knew what they were doing and it was on their dime. Then, it came. A second phase needed and, oh, it's the full treatment again and it's going to cost another full payment doubling the cost of the service. I was so shocked by this and I looked up this multiple phase treatment on the net. It's a complete scam in order to basically double bill the customer. We were so disgusted that we never went back. I got quotes for the service from several other orthodontists and I told them that I don't want any bs (used other words). After I told them about this experience, one of them was in disbelief that that would happen. I've had braces, all my friends and family had braces, three of my friends dads growing up were DDSs, and I had a friend that worked for Glidewell Labs (at the time it was the largest dental lab in the US as far as I understood) and I've walked through that lab more than once. I know what a dental appliance is and that a retainer is needed to retain(!) but somewhere along the line this multiple phase, industry wide, scam seems to have permeated the profession otherwise I would have watched out for this and insisted that they follow decades old standard practices to avoid teeth shifting post removal of the appliances. Again, this isn't the only place that does this and if this doesn't happen to you, you're fine but I suggest you be proactive about it. read more

My daughter needed braces at a very young age of 6! Dr. Brenda was amazing with my daughter. She talked her through it made her comfortable and made the experience fun for her. I have another daughter who will need braces too and I will bring her to Dr Brenda for sure. The staff is great at scheduling to what works for our schedules. Our dentist (from the same practice) recommended Dr. Brenda Caillouel and we scheduled an appointment. Without reviewing my child's x-rays and after spending only a few minutes (literally 3-5) looking at their actual teeth; the decision was to pull teeth and then use braces to make everything align. There was absolutely no discussion of the current bite or future implications of pulling the teeth; much less any alternatives. When I asked for details on why that was the recommendation and a description of the process, there was a distinct pause in the conversation and absolutely no substantive detail provided. Platitudes that everything will be fine were offered and we were out of there. Who knows it might be the right treatment, but the lack of clinical effort combined with her inability to explain it in detail will take us to a new orthodontist. read more

Review is for billing department. We took our son for Dixon orthodontic in Dec'16 and doctor suggested18 month treatment for $3600. My son was having issue with braces after 3-4 month of treatment and we talked with doctor and he said it good idea to do it later. To my surprise the billing department still changed us $3600. According to them we need to make payment even we didn't take service. I asked them for detailed bill and to which they replied they don't have one. And they are charging my insurance for year 2017 and 2018. While we hardly took service in 2017 and no service in 2018. read more
