It is with deep regret that I am posting this review. I scheduled an appointment for my son at 3:45 but was stuck in traffic and very slightly delayed. We were late by five to seven minutes at most. At 3:45 we were literally exiting the freeway and I called the office to explain that we were almost there. I was told that the doctor had to be someplace else and was preparing to leave the office. I was literally in the parking lot and was maybe six or seven minutes late in total but it made no difference. If we were say 15 minutes late, or even 10, I could be more understanding, but to cancel an appointment when the patient is less than ten minutes late and in the parking lot? If the doctor had an emergency situation obviously that's a different story, but the receptionist simply told me she had somewhere else she needed to be and that was the end of it. I was told that I could reschedule and declined. We do not live in the area where the office is located and drove from East County to be there. Frankly I cannot imagine any patient or customer losing an appointment because of a five to seven minute delay due to traffic. I decided that if those few minutes are so critical to the appointment this is not the office for my family. How many times have we all waited when a doctor is running late or is still with another patient? This is simply not the right way to do things. I immediately scheduled an appointment with another orthodontist and I asked what their policy is when a patient is late. They told me they give a 15 minute grace period and if possible they still try to keep the appointment if the patient is willing to wait. Dr. Le is a very nice person and I'm sure the work would have been done properly, but unfortunately it's time for other options. read more

This place is a joke. I had made a consultation because of all the glowing reviews...big mistake! My back molar had moved upwards creating a hole in my cheek. This caused an infection I was put on antibiotics and ended up with a contagious bacterial infection. I had to go to the ER. After explaining all this, the Dr had zero empathy. Told me that she could not help me. I think she just cannot handle anything super complicated. My orthodontist now saw a lot of things that she missed. If you have a complicated problem go somewhere else! read more

Dr Le and Kathy are the best team when it comes to patients needs, concerns and questions. I had a great experience here. I brought my son for treatment. They're responsive and educational! As for payments, they will not charge interest and do not use a credit agency. Most orthodontists do and this will affect your credit. However I broke my permanent retainer over the weekend and came here hoping for a fix. I got a same day appointment! I am so glad I made the decision to go here and get my braces. When I first met Dr. Lee I told her I wanted top and bottom braces but she looked at my teeth and said my top row was perfect and that I didn't need it. That right there already showed that she was not just trying to make money off of me. My daughter had her braces done at Premier Braces 4 years ago. Her teeth still look great, of course you need to wear a retainer as prescribed after the treatment is complete. Dr. Le is patient, kind, competent and courteous. The staff is always friendly and efficient. I have three other kids, and will certainly go back to her if they need braces as well. Her office is clean and is in a convenient location. We live in Carmel Valley and were initially referred to an orthodontist here but they quoted almost $2,000 more than what I paid at Premier Braces. Wearing braces for the second time in my life especially during college can be very daunting. Before seeing Dr. Le, I had consulted many orthodontists. Some suggested me getting surgery then braces, others suggested me getting teeth extractions and would take about 3 years to complete. Finally, one of my very good family friend who is also a dentist recommended Dr. Le. During my consultation, Dr. Le made a very thorough examination using her top-notch technologies. For treatment plans, she gave me options and clearly explained the pros and cons of each. I also asked for ceramic brackets, because well, I'm an adult. Dr. Le and her staffs are always very friendly. They made me feel like families. My entire ortho work took about 1.5 years without went through surgery. Now I'm two years off from my braces. I've been with this orthodontist my entire braces journey and I am very comfortable with them! I've taken my braces off earlier this year and gotten retainers. However, a few months later, I've ended up losing my retainers! I went back after a month of not being able to find them and I was super worried about the price. I read online that retainers could go up to $500 EACH piece. I was dreading to drop that much money disregarding the 3k my family had spent getting the braces in the beginning. But great news! MY TOP AND BOTTOM RETAINER REPLACEMENTS WERE ONLY $350(?) TOTAL! (I think it was $350 or $320) I was beyond relieved. That was basically pocket change compared to the 1k I thought I was going to pay. I have always been unhappy with my teeth. During my freshman, I had pretty straight teeth. But as I grew older (and as I adopted unhealthy eating habits), my teeth started to shift. My main concerns were: 1. my oddly shaped jaw alignment 2. my two canines were literally rotated 3. overbite 4. crooked teeth (duh!). I actually went to three previous ortho offices before Dr. Le's and I am very glad I checked out her office. She knows her stuff, and she is very informative. She advised me that I had probably fallen when I was younger which is why I have an uneven alignment. She also talked about how she was going to proceed with my teeth, and reassured me that she will not stop service on my teeth until it is perfect. After two years, I finally got my braces off! My 7 yr. old. had a crossbite & underbite. I went to 3 Orthos; the first gave me one option- Braces for $2400 plus the cost of images. The second gave me two options- Braces or a retainer $3500 for either one, BUT he missed her anterior crossbite & thought she only needed the underbite addressed. Finally Dr. Le saw my daughter. She gave me the same 2 options- Braces $2200, or retainers $1200. She said my daughter is still growing and it would be fairly easy to manipulate her jaw line. My insurance covered 100% of the retainers, and this included the cost of images. Dr. Le is a very petite & beautiful vietnamese lady. My daughter was comfortable with her because she was sweet & gentle during the consultation. Then when my daughter took the seat one of her technicians was going to do the molding but Dr. Le stopped her & said "No, it's ok. She's very tiny, so I'll do the molding myself." I was pleased to see that cared enough to recognize how tiny my daughter was and the need to be extra gentle with her. And get this- NO joke! Today made ONE week with the retainer and my daughter's front tooth is no longer protruding over her bottom tooth!! There's still her bottom tooth that's being straightened out, but my husband & I are BLOWN away by the progress made in just 1 week! read more

She is really caring, patient, and helpful. My dad and I had aproblem with insurance issues and she helped us through the process and it didn't feel like she was in a hurry or tried to brush us off. Dr. Le is simply amazing! She really cares for her patients and the office is great! She is very gentle and makes sure that you are comfortable and understand every procedure when she is working with you. Everyone in her office speaks fluent English and it is very sanitary. Her assistants are also very gentle and understanding. I drive from the OC, all the way down to San Diego just for my braces, because she is simply the best! I was recommended to her by several relatives who also had positive experiences with her. I've been to other orthodontic offices, but each of the ones that I've been to, were so cold and uncaring. This is definitely not the case here at Premier Braces. The waiting room has many games and magazines, along with a really nice LCD TV which is always playing high quality blu-ray movies to keep you busy. I absolutely love the service here! I honestly was a little skeptical about getting braces and been putting off on getting them done for a while because I was scared about the ortho being judgemental about my crooked teeth and all. My first time coming here I was greeted by their superrr nice staff, and met with Dr. Le right away and she talked to me about the options and within 2 years I'd get them off. Which is pretty fast compared to my friends gettin theirs off like 4 years ? Anywho, with my insurance plan, it really took a lot off, and premier braces also has a payment plan you can pay monthly whatever you can afford until you pay it off! Braces are soo worth it! I only have about 4 months to go til' I get them taken off, time flies by!! I can't say this enough but dr. Le and her assistants make me feel comfortable and get me in and out of the office within 10 mins each visit to tighten my braces! I am about 8 months into my braces treatment, and I am simply amazed by the work done by Dr. Lee. She is honest, straightforward, and has very reasonable prices! I entire treatment turned out to be far less than I had anticipated, and my appointments are literally 5 min. long. You come in, she does her work, and you are out the door! The initial assessment of my treatment length was about 18-24 months, but honestly, I think I may get them off after 12 months. The progress has been amazing, and my teeth look fantastic already! Dr. Lee is very personable, and gentle with my teeth. I only had to come in one time because one of my brackets fell off (It was one on my crown, which apparently the glue does not adhere well to crowns), and Dr. Lee was so accommodating. My daughter had been going to Smilecare for her braces. Once we were done they left a permanent retainer on her bottom teeth. When one of the brackets came loose, i performed what I like to call "home dentistry" and I cut the wire with wire cutters to remove the loose bracket. Since a wire was sticking out, I needed to get her in right away, but did not want to step foot into Smilecare ever again because of the billing issues I've had with them. She saw me the next day and the appointment took only a few minutes. She didn't charge me a dime. Dr. Le was very knowledgeable and extremely sweet. I can tell she is honest. My dentist recommended me to see an orthodontist because he noticed one of my teeth to be out of place (I'd had braces as a teenager). Dr Lee was covered by my insurance and everyone on Yelp loved her so I decided to give her a try. She told me my retainer being too loose was likely causing the issue and tightened and adjusted my retainer...for free!!!! She advised me I'd likely need a new one soon since mine is 17yrs old (yes 17 years old!) and the wires are pretty brittle (to be expected). Needless to say I'm glad I got a second opinion by her because another orthodontist suggested full braces on my top AND bottom teeth (even though I was just concerned about this one tooth) and didn't notice my retainer wasn't fitting properly. When I do need a new retainer I will certainly be making an appointment with her! read more

I called the office to request a copy of the estimate/consultation that Dr. Le had given me for my daughter, i told the girl who answered my call what i needed, she returned my call immediately and faxed me the estimate.
