We rented the Chandler Ballroom + Kitchen for an afternoon/evening. The Ballroom was spacious, easily seating our ~115 guests, and well-lit, with large, north-facing windows providing ample indirect light. We were pleased that the room came with tables & chairs and with the professional-grade kitchen appliances. The large ovens & refrigerator were perfect for storing and reheating our food. Sarah, the staff member with whom we worked, made the entire process very easy! She was flexible, knowledgeable, and responded quickly to our many questions. She gave us a diagram of the Ballroom's floorplan that she made, which was incredibly helpful, and gave us a tip about looking at Special Occasions in Corvallis for event rental services (tablecloths, tableware, etc). To top it all off, the venue rental was reasonably priced - it was much more affordable than other options in Corvallis & Portland. Thank you very much to the CCC and Sarah for helping make our wedding plans a reality! If we ever need to plan a large gathering in Corvallis in the future, the CCC will be our first choice :)

Our office staff can be found at the Corvallis Parks & Recreation office at 1310 SW Avery Park Dr. Classes are being held at a variety of locations through the community. The Center supports our community by providing opportunities for adults to learn, engage and grow. The Center also offers indoor and outdoor event space for rent to the community, including a formal ballroom with a hardwood dance floor, meeting rooms and outdoor terraces.

We came upon Starker Forestry Tour trail online when checking along the 20 for short trails we…read moremight want to check out as passing through. It's super easy to find from the 20, just a few minutes down a paved and gravel road with good signage. There's a small parking area at an intersection of roads where the tour begins. As a tree hugger I generally cringe, plug my ears, or turn away from anything involving the removal of even one tall beauty. But I will admit, after taking the informative trail I respected the education and information provided by the tour. The trail starts at a large covered pavilion with long benches and utilizes signposts along the short loop to help both kids and adults learn about the industry, as well as the natural inner workings of the forest. Special focus is given to beauty #15 and it's individual purpose, as well as how the environment around it has changed through the years. The path is well-maintained, fairly flat and easy, with an even gravel surface. Seemingly in the middle of nowhere, the Starker Forestry Tour has a beautiful setting and offers a simplistic way to learn a bit more about the gorgeous Oregon forests.

Disappointed two years in a row! My son wanted ONE EVENT. Nerf guns. Period. I could not have been…read moremore clear. We paid a great deal of money to have his birthday party there. Last year there were no nerf darts for the guns. This year I put it in writing when I signed up for the date, left a voicemail, sent an email and called twice and spoke to two different staff to be clear that the priority was to have nerf guns and darts for my son's party. The day of the party we arrived and the staff knew NOTHING about a nerf party and could only a few stray darts (less than 10) for a party booked for 25 kids! The staff called the manager and got no support or response. As of today I have received no communication or apology. They don't provide plates, napkins, cutlery or cups. I'm wondering what the justification is for charging that much money when the management doesn't care enough to create a fun experience for the kids.

The only reason why I say decent is because of the lack of top rope options, but great for bouldering and other exercise options. The prices are unbeatable when compared to any other climbing gym. I've climbed in a few states and the price of the partners membership is just slightly more than the cost of a single member in certain gyms. Facility is always clean. They reset routes often. Staff are friendly and helpful. Even at the busiest moments you can still get on the wall. Haven't tried any of the classes yet so that's my next to try. Overall highly recommend at least a visit!

Nos. 2-7 meander out and into the humid park air. No. 1 returns, and No. 2 heads for the Bucket. Then No. 3. Nos. 4-7 stare at each other with icky faces, and when all have returned with Purelled hands, we stand in a circle next to one of the cars. Quiet. Awkward. We jump from face to face and then stare at our shoes. The other car, with its door open, and we listen to Stevie Nicks. A tan and perky lady walks by...she's inevitably going to share the germ-invested fate of 1-3. "How's the Honey Bucket?" she asks, and laughs. "Well," says No. 4, "it's always better with Fleetwood Mac."

I am writing to report serious cleanliness and safety concerns at the spa. Over the past two…read moremonths--while visiting daily--I observed persistent mold around the rim of the spa, on the walk-in support handle, and on the window sills. I have never seen the sauna or hot tub room cleaned during that time. On two occasions I became extremely ill after visits and feared for my health. I asked staff who were cleaning the steam room to address the hot tub area and window sills, but they failed to do so. I also discovered a large clump of pubic hair in the public steam room, which is unacceptable. Despite maintaining my membership and returning sporadically to check for improvements, conditions have only worsened. Additionally, I experienced disrespectful and inappropriate behavior from other patrons while in the sauna: I was mocked, whistled at, and even approached in a way that felt like harassment. I witnessed underage girls making advances toward patrons, which is deeply troubling for a facility that should be safe and peaceful. These issues indicate a pattern of poor cleanliness practices and inadequate supervision. I will be reporting these concerns to the local health department. I urge management to address sanitation practices, staff training, and patron conduct immediately to ensure the facility is safe and welcoming for all guests. Most of the equipment has been poorly maintained and or is broken as well. Its best to be honest so here you go, this place has a sign in the front of the building saying they have the finest spa in the area, not true.
