I want to introduce you to a new business that recently opened in Plainfield, Illinois. Lighthouse…read moreAcademy is a quality childcare center, and the third of their centers to open in Illinois. Lighthouse Academy is a quality day care center because of its cleanliness, structured curriculum, and nurturing caregivers. I would highly recommend them to families or caregivers looking for a highly educational program for their children. Lighthouse Academy is a quality day care center ran by a wonderful director and filled with enthusiastic and nurturing caregivers. The center is accredited by The National Association for the Education for Young Children (NAEYC) and The Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). They believe in the highest-level of education to help children learn and grow. The teachers are highly trained in CPR and First Aid. If they are not certified upon being hired, the center offers classes for them to become certified. Lighthouse Academy is a curriculum-based center, which means they follow guidelines while teaching their children, making sure there is structure in their day. Lighthouse Academy focuses on the development of each child intellectually, emotionally, socially, and physically. By focusing on all four of those areas, they are helping build the "whole child". The center is known for its cleanliness and they uphold themselves to a high standard of being extremely clean. They clean the entire building at the end of every day. Each teacher is in charge of their own classrooms, and making sure that all toys and materials are bleached at the end of every day. It is very obvious when you walk into the building of this center that it is very clean and well taken care of. Finding a day care center that is right for your children is important. Early childhood is such an important time in life, and finding quality care can be hard to come across. It is important to find a center that has the same beliefs and philosophies as your own, and by observing centers you can learn which is the best fit for your child. I highly recommend families and caregivers learn more about Lighthouse Academy. I hope that by writing this review I will convince people to visit Lighthouse Academy so they can see for their selves how wonderful of a place it is.

We have been with KLA for over two years and are so happy with the community they've created there…read more We started in the Baby Nido (infant room) and have been in the Nido (toddler) 2s and 3s room and have been happy during the entire journey. The teachers and administration treat the all of the children as their own, and the knowledge my young children bring home every day is amazing. Ms. Tracy, who leads the Nido class, has a such gift with toddlers. She is patient, genuine and loving, and has a way of engaging and teaching that is truly unique. She is always on the floor along with the kids and creative enough to engage the various levels. We know our children adore Ms. Tracy which makes it so much easier to leave them every day. Ms. Tiffany is also in the Nido room and compliments Ms. Tracy perfectly. She is also always on floor with the kids and engages them in the creative learning activities. All of the kids seem to really enjoy Ms. Tiffany's company! Ms. Gabby has been in a couple of different rooms with my children at various times. Both of my kids gravitated to her immediately and still talk about her even though neither of them are in the same class as her anymore. She is playful, engaging, and loving. Ms. Lauren and Ms. Madeley were also with my kids at various times, and are also fantastic. They are usually there when I'm picking up and are very good at communicating with parents regarding the child's day, needs, etc. My children had the opportunity to be with Ms. Ashley a few times throughout their time at KLA. Ms. Ashley now leads the older 3s class and has a true gift. She is loving and patient but is great with molding manners and listening skills. The kids absolutely adore her. My daughter is no longer with her class and still talks about her daily, and hangs on her every opportunity she has. She has even asked if Ms. Ashley can come over to our house to play! Ms. Stephanie leads the 3s class and I envy her way of engaging and managing the crazy kids and personalities. She incorporates fun with learning that makes my 3 year old excited to go to school every day. Whatever activity she has the kids doing, she is right along with them on the floor, at their little table, etc. I could truly go on and on about about the teachers and staff at KLA. As a working parent you tend to feel guilty about leaving your kids on a daily basis. However, after so much time spent at KLA, I actually feel a little guilty on the days they are NOT there because I know they are probably having more fun and are learning more when they are there! You can feel confident that your children are in great hands when you are gone. Just don't feel bad when they cry when you come to pick them up because they don't want to leave... It happens to all of us!

We have been with KLA for almost two year and are extremely happy with the philosophy and community…read morethey've created there. I have been a working mother since ever and my son started going to daycare since he was one year old, we started in Kiddie Academy but then things changed in a not positive way and I urgently was looking for a change and I thank god I found KLA which I always say it has been the best change ever for my son... Right now my son is at 3s room and have been happy during the entire journey. The teachers and administration treat the all of the children as their own, and the knowledge my young children bring home every day is amazing. Starting with the staff in when you get in Ms Morgan is so charm and kind, she is always available to answer all your questions in the best way possible :) Ms Stephanie is always with a smile in her face and always ready to help ...Ms Carrie is always kind ...Ms Erika the director is a wonderful leader she always know what is happening to every child and when it is needed talks to the parents making us feel secure and comfortable on our child's development Ms. Liz , Ms. Alyssa and Ms. Destiny are so lovely and fantastic. I normally pick up my son almost at the closing time and every time I have a hard time to make him leave with me...that means he loves the school and he has named KLA his home so I cant be more thankful for the environment and the teachers that take care of him :) Ms. Amanda and Ms Becca now lead the older 3s class and has been a great partnership with them. They are loving and patient but is great with molding manners and listening skills actually It is very easy to work with both of them on a daily basis to supervise my child's development. They go above and beyond hand-writing a note every day explaining how the day went the ups and downs and the corrections or rewards that he received, because many times when I pick up my son they already left, thanks to them my son have improved in a lot of areas in such short period of time and that is thanks to the devotion, compromise and dedication of Ms Amanda and Ms Becca. My son absolutely adore them. Ms. Lucy is adorable she is so sweet and patient with all the kids...she teaches Spanish and having a Hispanic heritage it is crucial that my son learns Spanish at school so I love having her as Spanish teacher :) Gracias Miss Lucy Ms Kimberly and Ms Nikki are in the other 3s classroom they are fantastic everytime that my son interacts with them he is very happy and he know them perfectly ... Peaceful Pathways is an amazing school…read more I have two children that are alumni from PPMA. My son attended from kindergarten to eighth grade and my daughter attended from third grade to eighth grade. They are now 22 and 25 and have a strong self image that I attribute to PPMA. Many years ago when I was thinking about homeschooling my daughter, I read up on many different educational practices. I came across the Montessori education and loved everything that I read about it. My two children have grown up into successful adults, and I will forever be grateful for PPMA in their formative years. Sincerely, Jeff

They have learned how to take responsibility for the tasks they can accomplish with pride (mostly, I mean, some days you need a snack or a nap, you know). The montessori school methods they have taught me have improved my parenting. I have learned to listen to my children and consider their needs and how to redirect or train my kiddos. To expect my kids want independance in their abilities toncare for their space, themselves and others. They are curious, informative, moldable and happy. I am amazed at how calm the classroom environments are. They truly are little communities that respect each other and care for each other. Every teacher and aid that I have encountered seem to really enjoy what they do. I am impressed.
