James simply exceeded all expectations...from our first call, the whole experience was highly personalized and we felt like James truly cared to make our playlist curated to exactly who we are and the experience we wanted to create for our guests. This was not your average wedding playlist, it was the perfect blend of songs we loved and songs James knew would get people energized and on the dance floor. From the moment we first spoke, he was a polite, attentive and enthusiastic listener who took the time to understand the specific vibe and energy we wanted for our special day. Despite being brought on as a referral less than 6 weeks before our wedding, you could tell he has been doing this for awhile as his experiences showed. My now wife and I are relatively reserved people, and lot of our close friends and family are also shy and take time to warm up. So we weren't sure if having a DJ and EMCEE was the right move. However, after speaking with him, we knew this was the right choice. As I have mentioned, his experience in this industry really shines. In conversation you can tell he is a happy guy and loves what he does, he wants to bring that joy when conversing with him. We are not the most musical people, so we weren't sure what songs we wanted for our entrance, first dance and so on, but James made sure to guide us without adding in his preference. He made sure the songs were our choices and not his. So he gave us examples of how he and his wife picked their songs and also how other couples in the past did as well. Just trying to give us examples without overstepping. Which we really appreciated. His pricing was incredibly reasonable and he gave us a great deal for both the DJ and EMCEE service, and he came fully equipped with all the necessary gear, requiring only a simple table setup. Tried to make this review shorter but if I could give 6 stars I would! Planning a wedding during covid was to say the least stressful. When James reached out, he immediately wanted to set up a time to talk over the phone. It was important to him to make sure HE was the right fit for US. This was extremely different and I knew immediately he cared- about music. Everyone else cared about how quickly I could send a deposit. This was important to me. Music is important. When he called, I then saw a New York area code, and us being from Connecticut, at that moment I knew he was placed in our path for a reason. After talking for a while, we agreed to hire him and the rest is history. He followed us on Instagram and began to get to know us and dig our brains on our music taste. He helped me through my indecisiveness (I would stay up listening to song after song to find the a absolute perfect combination). When you organize any event and especially a wedding, one of the key topics is for the day and night to be memorable, for everyone. Our plan was for the reception to be a non-stop party, not a traditional follow steps 1,2,3 by any means...and a DJ a REAL DJ was at the top of the priority list. We had high hopes and expectations and boy did he deliver and then some! To this day, over 8 years later guests still tell us we had one of the best weddings they have ever been to and still talk about how packed the dance floor was the entire time.
