(Just know that the speaker is heavy, but it rolls on wheels.) Mark was fantastic to work with, the equipment was easy for a friend of mine to set up (I'm not very tech savvy, but I could have done it, too), and for all of us to operate. We set things up initially so there was background music going when guests arrived and during dinner, then we got into the singing. "Disaster" could not explain my wedding experience with Kris well enough. I spent months discussing…read moremy playlist with him. I created a detailed list for every moment of the wedding - I worked extensively to create a spreadsheet labeling what time songs should play, and detailed each and every announcement we expected him to make. I confirmed with him multiple times if he was conformable making these announcements, and he ensured me (not exactly politely) that he knew what he was doing. The chaos started during our ceremony. I told him specifically what time the ceremony was meant to start - he was 20 minutes late to make the announcement for people to take their seats. Once the ceremony finally started (after both my father and the officiant had to talk to him), when it was time to play the bride's wedding processional, he played our recessional song. My parents and I waited awkwardly while he cycled through multiple songs (sometimes playing two songs at once over each other??), going song through song, playing everything but my aisle song. Our officiant literally had to run over to him, in the middle of our ceremony, to tell him he was playing the wrong song. He ensured him he knew what he was doing. We continued to wait, while everyone was standing, waiting for the bride, while he cycled through songs. EVERYONE was uncomfortable. We finally said screw it and began our walk. Multiple DIFFERENT songs continued start and stop while we were walking down the aisle. Everyone in our audience was confused. After the ceremony, I had everyone asking me "Are you okay??". I had to apologize to my guests for what happened. Later, when it was time to start dinner, he did not make any of the announcements I provided- my mother and I had to approach him and review what he needed to say. There was NO cake cutting or dancing announcement, which I provided to him beforehand. It was like pulling teeth getting him to do what we asked for - even though I spent SO much time laying out all the details and confirming with him. When dancing started (I literally had to tell him to start the dance playlist), one of the songs suddenly slowed down in tempo out of nowhere?? Everyone was dancing, and suddenly the music started playing at half speed. When I confronted him about this, he was confused and could not fix the issue. I worked so hard on my music for my wedding, and every step confirmed all the anxieties I had about things going wrong. I believe this man may have been good at one point, but is overdue to retire. I'm absolutely heartbroken that I wasn't able to walk down the aisle to my wedding song. I cried with my husband when we got back from our wedding. I did not envisioning this day going like this. I'm not sure how to process my disappointment - this will scar us both for a while.

Once the decision was made I emailed the company immediately and requested a refund since the wedding event was 18 months away, knowing I had already signed a contact and I did review their cancellation policy (my reason did not fall under their cancellation policy). I was informed that I would only be reimbursed 20% of a $1675 deposit! I was in shock! I then contacted the company again, and the owner, Ken A., made a decision to give me a full refund. How amazing is that!! I 100% support our local business in the Reno area, and if the venue hasn't been changed I would have loved to have them DJ the wedding.
