I've pretty much depleted my decades long accumulation of baseball cards so now I'm into selling off my football cards. I walked into DJ's Comics and Cards to sell six vintage New York Giants cards from the late 1950's and early 1960's. I had done my pricing research, and after correcting for condition and selling to a retailer, I had an idea what to ask for. He offered me $5 less than my assesment, so I countered with his cash offer plus $5 in store credit and that clinched the deal. I ended up using the store credit toward buying a Tom Brady and a Kobe Bryant card for my grandson. DJ's made me a very fair offer and we were both satisfied with the outcome. The store has quite a bit more comics than cards, but I sure enjoyed looking at the shopwcases and rummaging through the commons boxes. read more

Very nice small business with a lot of fun! Maybe not something for everyone as it is an acquired taste, but the employees are nice and knowledgeable on what they sell. Sometimes you can even find card boxes for less than their market value. I would recommend. read more

We love DJ's! The service is really really good. All of the employees are super helpful and always really knowledgeable. There's every comic book you could ever dream of there's such a wide selection. There's a lot of cards to chose from baseball, Pokémon, football, basketball and more! This shop is a bit of mess and not well organized. They have a big selection but tend to under order the good stuff and over order the crap, which tells me they don't read the books they just sell them. This should always be a warning sign. Also beware of price gouging when it comes to this place. They like to tell you how much a book is selling for on eBay. Also the staff is friendly but doesn't know much about comics. On the plus side they have easily one of the best trades and graphic novels section of any store in the area. The store also carries a big selection of sports cards, toys and maquettes. I'm not sure why anyone would by a Maquette from a shop like this but they have a huge case filled with them. read more

I check out a lot of comics shops throughout the state and I have to say DJs has one of the best back issue selections in the state, could be a little more organized but for the most part all there. Half the fun is digging thru boxes. A lot of current comics on the wall easy to go thru and old stuff, fun for everyone. Not much for sports cards but still a decent selection. I asked about a few and they looked in the price guide to see if they could work on the price with me. Had most of the stuff I was looking for and what they didn't have, the guy working offered to order it at no extra charge. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. read more

Fat man sitting on a little stool says to me "I can only sell you one of these and 2 of these to save some for other customers" Really? These comics have been sitting in the box for years and now all of a sudden other people want them? Then he picks up one comic that had no price on it and says "This is like a $20 comic, do you still want it? I said to him "What is that the price on eBay?: He said "Yes" I said "No, I'm not paying eBay prices" Then he said "Oh these other 2 are $4. I said No I don't want those either. If you are going to charge ebay prices, then PUT IT ON EBAY!!!!!! Place is a mess and looks like a typical comic book nerd who lives with his parents @35 because he spends all his money on comics. That is the first and last time I ever step foot in that dump! Store is run by comic nerds who don't know what they are doing, I went to the other DJ's down the street and he lets me buy as many copies as I want!! read more

Charging 12.99 for hockey cards you can get at target for 3.99. Also 3D covers charged at $7. The cover price is 3.99 and that is what every other comic shop is selling them for. No customer appreciation. It's also cluttered and small. Feels like a hoarder's closet. read more

Do yourself a favor and check this place out. It is small but PACKED with comics, cards, rpg essentials, etc. all the products are well organized as well. The guys at work here are eager to help, and are extremely nice. It's shops like this one that put all others in the area to Shame. They're willing to do special orders for you so I need to ask them in our patient. I don't believe they do tournaments here, but they more than make up for that with heavily stocked shelves. read more

Great comic & collectibles store! The owner is super nice and helpful. My boyfriend and I were looking for a set of cards that he did not have at his store. He then got on the phone and ordered them for us and we had them within a few days. Check this place out! read more

Been going here for years. They have always been great. If you don't see any issues you need just ask, if I can't be located then, you will know within a week. Plus if your a regular comic book junkie like myself you can set up a file to have your books saved for your next visit. Most shops charge a monthly fee for this but not here. read more

Great Comic Shop! Highly recommend if you're in the North Haven, CT area. Owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. Selection of back issues is very deep and has an excellent selection of Trade Paper Backs (TPB) and Graphic Novels. New comics are readily available and will re-order and search for out of stock items. I've been collecting comics for 33 years and been a customer of DJs for about 7, definitely one of the better stores around. read more
