I wasn't expecting this, but was pleasantly surprised! He gave my partner and I plenty of information and from there we made an appointment for him to visit a couple of days later. Scott was extremely accommodating and fit us in to his very busy schedule. We contacted him during move-in week at the U of I and he still made time for us. Pricing was more than fair given the amount of work he did for us. He gave us some advice for fixing things on our own in the future. But if you are trying to keep costs low and are willing to do the important parts yourself instead, then maybe this service could work for the price. But if you want movers to handle fragile or possible to break items, then go ahead and spend a bit more for other movers. It may save you both money and headache anyway. I called in mid-July to ask what was up, and the lady sounded a little offended. She told me that they were busy and that the guy was on vacation and would get a bid to me when he got back in early August. It's now late August and I haven't heard a peep. I understand being busy, but the response to a customer you turn out not to have time for is not "you can **** yourself and wait till whenever", it's "Hi, I'm very sorry, we don't have time to get this done in any reasonable timeframe, but here's someone else I recommend and he's expecting your call. Sorry to have inconvenienced you." Yep. Not a fan.
