I called 4 different services, and over the phone Gary quoted me the most reasonable cost, which was honored. Anyway, evidently they have 4 locations in Duluth, and I chose the W. Central location as the one that'd be most convenient for me. Sasha, the young man running that location, was a consummate professional, friendly and helpful, and I was very happy with the resulting federal refund (which I received in less than 2 weeks), as well as the security of knowing if there are any problems I can go back to them to get it fixed. I may buy a property later this year rather than continue to rent, and since evidently the owner, T.J., does financial advice, if I do need it I plan to utilize them again, as they have earned my trust based on the tax prep job they completed for me.

Marion Gustofson assisted me with paper filing my 2022 tax return. At that time, I clearly instructed her not to begin work on my 2023, 2024, or 2025 tax returns. Despite these explicit instructions, she proceeded in a way that left her attached to my account. As a result, I am now unable to paper file my 2023 and 2024 taxes on my own because she has not removed herself from my account. When I raised the issue, Marion stated that she would contact her manager to have herself removed so I could proceed with filing independently. However, this has not been resolved. Instead, the manager, Meagan Csomos, responded to my messages asking what the problem was but did not take action to fix the issue. I attempted to contact her by phone as well, but was told she was busy preparing other tax returns. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. My instructions were disregarded, and the lack of timely resolution has prevented me from filing my taxes as intended. The situation gives the impression that the priority may be the fees associated with preparing tax returns rather than providing professional and responsive customer service. Based on my experience, the handling of this situation raises concerns about professionalism and ethical business practices. Customers should be able to trust that their instructions will be respected and that issues affecting their ability to file their taxes will be addressed promptly. I hope this matter is resolved soon, and that the business takes steps to ensure better communication, accountability, and respect for client requests in the future.
