    We did not make an appointment today, just showing up. They are taking COVID seriously here with capacity limits inside and they will keep people waiting outside until there is sufficient space inside. Masks are required and the staff seemed to be wearing their masks properly. A brief wait outside, then we were questioned at the door and escorted to the receptionist to get a number. We took a seat and waited about 30 minutes until our number was called. My wife had done a fabulous job of preparing the paperwork she needed. She had everything and at the end, had her picture taken. Overall, a good experience. [Review 16644 overall - 160 in Portugal - 156 of 2022.]

    It says it closes at 5 but they actually closed at 4:50 even tho you have appointment and they going to treat you really bad :) all of them.

    Very rude and unprofessional, not very clean also the lady on the lobby is very aggressive towards costumers

    Who else like myself hate going to the DMV?…read more I must say this was the best professional service I have gotten while going to Motor Vehicles. After waiting nearly 10 days for an appointment today was the day. As a new resident here in NC I'm not too familiar with directions yet, so I went on and put the name of the place in the gps. Come to find out there was one near my area. When I get there my appointment was at 1:30 Pm so I was on time. Easy access to find parking. When I go inside there is an armed security guard, by the entrance, there was a line with about 15 ppl ahead of me but the line was moving quick. They called the people that had an appointment to the front of the line. I was up next. The older white lady did not grab her name took care of me. She was very polite and informative. When I hand her my documents come to find out I went to the wrong DMV. She quickly took actions into finding out if she can help me or not and she did. Took my documents to checking everything made sure everything was alright. There was also an African American guy next to her, he seems to be the one in charge he was helping ppl fast on the line and very professional. I waited about 20 minutes to get called. I went to the booth number 11. Was a nice lady will soon updated it and get her name the teller. She was calm, nice, and very helpful. Help me with my license and transfer. I'll give this place 5 more stars if I can I'm really happy to know we have a professional DMV in my area.

What a…read moredread and unnecessary too as I paid my vehicle property tax in early Nov knowing my registration and tag decal expires end of month. USPS let's me down and nothing in the mail even though their web site, Informed Delivery says it arrived. Nope, didn't arrive, so what to do? Call DMV, no Go to Post office, no Call York County Property Tax, no. Their web site says they open at 830a so I was there at 815a and already a HUGE line. The doors open at 830a and the line moved quickly. It was helpful they had a staff member at the door asking everyone what they needed and advising which window number they go to. She asked for my documents and I showed her my paid property tax receipt and she directed me to window #3. The lady wearing the mask clearly didn't want to be there. I stood there while she was shuffling papers and on her computer waiting for her to acknowledge me which she didn't. Finally she looked up and said 'do you need something'? Wow, excellent question. I explained in detail what I needed. Then she said, 'well you're going to need your property tax receipt, your current registration and proof of insurance'. I reached in my back pocket and pulled them all out. She was SHOCKED I was prepared. She examined all the documents with the scrutiny of an archeological find and found everything in order. Another lovely experience at the esteemed DMV. Ya'll are getting better but there's still room for improvement in the Customer Contact department. None of us want to be there either.
