I checked in at 1055 because you can't check in until 10 minutes before your appointment. I sat until 1140. The woman at the window acted like she didn't want to be there or help me. She was concerned with singing and talking to the employee next to her. However, she was very efficient. I was there for a registration. I was leaving at 1143. Mixed review of government inefficiency. Could have been much worse.

When I walked in I was greeted by a man who asked if I had an appointment and when I responded yes, he pointed me in the direction I needed to go. Checking in was also easy, and if you had trouble there was someone there to help. I typed in my phone number, my appointment time popped up and I printed out a receipt and found a seat. I had a 11am appointment and I arrived early like 10:36, so not crazy early lol To my surprise at 10:58 my ticket number was called and I was at the counter. The lady at the counter was full of personality. She got me in and out before 11:30. This time the parking only cost me, $3. Overall when you have to go to the Dmv automatically you think of drama and stressful day but my experience there today was calm and easy. In the meantime, sit back, relax do whatever, to pass the time. Once they call your number, the process is very fast It's pretty organized here, compared to some of NY DMV's, I've been to. Instead of helping or simply pointing me in the right direction, the security guard spoke to me in a rude and dismissive way that made me feel embarrassed and stupid for not already knowing what to do. I understand DMV offices can be busy, but basic courtesy and clear communication go a long way. People come in for help and guidance, especially when procedures aren't obvious. A little patience and professionalism would have made the experience much better.
