Covid screwed a lot of places where you HAD to be seen in person. So far so good. No horror story to tell.

I checked in at 1055 because you can't check in until 10 minutes before your appointment. I sat until 1140. The woman at the window acted like she didn't want to be there or help me. She was concerned with singing and talking to the employee next to her. However, she was very efficient. I was there for a registration. I was leaving at 1143. Mixed review of government inefficiency. Could have been much worse.

Keep in mind that this is a business authorized to execute DMV transactions so there is a service fee on top of whatever the DMV charges. I had a 11am appointment and I arrived early like 10:36, so not crazy early lol To my surprise at 10:58 my ticket number was called and I was at the counter. The lady at the counter was full of personality. She got me in and out before 11:30. This time the parking only cost me, $3. Overall when you have to go to the Dmv automatically you think of drama and stressful day but my experience there today was calm and easy. Once I filled out the form, my cell phone alerted me within 15 minutes to go to the counter to take my photo which was so quick because the woman was in a rush to take my picture and have me go sit down. That was quick but the waiting for them to call my number which is not done in sequence, was about 40 minutes, however in total, I was there about one hour which to me is fast considering other DMV's your there more than one hour. I did make an appointment in advance so that also helped my appointment move more quickly. I also brought more documents than what was needed in the event, the agent tells me I am missing something. Thank God all went smoothly and I don't have to return until another 8 years. I would recommend this DMV site in Yonkers over the other locations only because of my experience that each time I returned to Yonkers DMV, my renewals always went quickly. So if you don't want to spend the entire day at a DMV location, then schedule an appointment at the Yonkers DMV so that you can take care of your business and leave quickly if you make your appointment in advance.

I had never been to this location but figured I'd give it a try. I had a 9:15 am appt and I…read morearrived before they opened. This location has a large public parking lot which was surprising very full at 9:00 am but I did get a spot. I walked up to the kiosk at the front door, clicked that I had an appt, then put in my phone number and out printed a ticket. I noticed this location is quite small with a few benches and chairs and only about 3-4 service windows so I can imagine it getting crowded quickly. I normally go to the one in the city of Newburgh which is much larger inside and yet has a smaller parking lot. I only waited about 10 mins when my number got called and my counter person was very nice. I was renewing my enhanced driver license and wanted a new picture. I had all the forms ready (they require you come with all the completed forms prior to your appointment) and everything including taking my picture only took 10 mins. I realized I had to rewrite my check as I had the wrong amount and made it out to the wrong name but I brought my check book so I could write a new one. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience and I will definitely be back!
