This is a review on their customer service, I sent a message through the website asking for as quick a turn around as possible because my grandmother's cancer diagnosis has recently changed to terminal. I understand that this review stands out amongst all of the other really positive reviews. 2020 has been unique on so many different levels. It has shown how certain people / companies handle things when their backs are up against the wall. During this very difficult time, we really saw Brian's true colors when it came time to reschedule our wedding due to the concerns of COVID. We had our wedding set for the end of September, but the area we were holding our reception had reached out with concerns of COVID and things not getting any better. So, my wife and I made the difficult decision to explore our options of moving our wedding. We had reached out to Brian to see what we could do and to explain why we were in this situation (28 of 30 of our guests were traveling from out of state). Brian immediately was defensive saying how this was going to affect him and his business and how difficult the times have been for his business. I understood where Brian was coming from and told him that my fiancé had just been laid off as well as my dad. We understood the financial impact this had. Instead of working with us to reschedule, Brian wanted to charge us a rescheduling fee. He never once acknowledged our financial situation, or showed any compassion for having to reschedule our very special day. Our further interactions with Brian were a complete 180 from our initial interaction with him. It was very transactional and many times when we were discussing options, Brian continued to mention his own personal difficulties (family issues, business, etc.). He never once saw things from our perspective; not wanting to have to reschedule our special day. Initially Brian told us that he would not do an elopement package on a Saturday due to a minimum amount of money we had to spend. When we had asked to move/cancel the wedding, he mentioned he would refund us if he was able to get a similar size or larger (wedding), but wouldn't be able to refund the full amount if he booked an elopement package. This contradicted what he told us with not being able to do an elopement. It's really a shame because when we had reached out to Brian, he maybe did 2 hours (at most) of work for us, which did not involve any expenses to him or his business, just his time. The whole thing was very off-putting to the point that we ended up taking a big financial loss. Had Brian just been flexible with us or allowed us to do an elopement on the day of our wedding, we would have gone with him. Our initial opinion on Brian changed completely during these troubling times. What was supposed to be a very special time turned into a big financial impact to us, as well as a lot of unnecessary additional stress. I would 100% not suggest that anyone goes with Brian and his company. read more

There is not enough that I could say to describe how efficiently and wonderfully Brian and Heidi work together to create the wedding of your dream! We contacted Weddings in Monterey a couple of months before our date while still trying to decide how we were going to arrange for a wedding in such a very short period. Brian was very quick to respond to my email -while they were on vacation- and answered many of my numerous questions. He was clear and precise and gave us many options to work with. Initially we were considering to have a small wedding with only family members and a few friends, later though we decided to elope alone and have a big party for everyone afterwards. Back and forth, we touched on every little detail with Brian and then we met with him about a month before the wedding date. He took lots of notes and we discussed locations and details. Once we decided on a location with Brian's help, he sent us a questionnaire to fill out for our ceremony. We met once more and ironed everything out. I was still very nervous that things will go as planned. A couple of weeks before the wedding, Heidi contacted me and we decided on the final schedule. The day of the wedding, Heidi came to the hotel as planned but about 15 minutes early and took plenty of pictures for both of us. Then we met Brian at the chosen location. Throughout the whole experience both Heidi and Brian were very professional, warm and super nice. Our ceremony was perfect! The location, the elegant officiant (Brian) and expert photographer (Heidi), the personalized ceremony that Brian created that brought our story to life. Even the weather cooperated and we had the sunset pictures we wanted that came out just superb with Heidi's expertise. Heidi was fun and easy to deal with and she knew exactly what she was doing to get the best shots. And the video we recorded of the ceremony with our cell phone came out clear and better than expected. The cherry on the top came the day after the wedding when Heidi sent us a small album that contained some of the most amazing pictures of our little ceremony. I had asked her to send us a few to show our family but never expected her to do it so quickly and with that many pictures. They were absolutely perfect!
