See, the repaired section of the driveway looks very obvious.

The quality of the work they did for me (apron repair and sealcoating) was OK, the men who did the actual work were competent and polite, but the communications were unreliable and at a couple of points downright rude. I understand that rain can make it hard to stick to an estimated date. But whenever I called to find out when they were coming, either no one called me back, or Roberto (the salesman, who claimed to be "the boss") yelled at me for bothering him. The first date they gave me turned into a no-show--and the only way I found out they weren't coming was to start calling the day before, and keep calling, until I got hold of Roberto. (See above for his response.) The results are OK, but the salesman told me the sealcoating would make the patch and the old part of the driveway blend together in one seamless flow, and it does not. There is a definite seam showing where the new part starts. So overall--the entrance to the driveway that was damaged by snowplows is fixed, and the sealcoating looks good, but it doesn't look as I expected. And it was very stressful dealing with this outfit.

Leaning tree (see others for perspective). Trench dug 180 degrees around tree trunk severing half of supporting roots. A total loss.

    Are they still in business?

No, they are no longer in business. Like others, they would return to seal the driveway the following year with my payment. That was in 2024 when I had to get a different contractor to seal the work. They had the same phone number and the same owner… Read more

Called Leahey to get some screened loam for a raised garden it needed 2 yards. When I called and…read moreasked how much 2yds of loam was I was told it was $100 delivered. I told them to deliver it. They did. Two days later I was on Facebook and someone had posted asking where to get loam from to which someone responded "Call Leahy Excavating the charge $22.50 a yard plus tax and delivery so you can get 4yds for $100 if you live in Holden" When I called and asked why I was charged $100 for 2yds I was told because that is the what I asked for. I asked why they didn't state the amount per yard and a minimum delivery for full disclosure of their prices. Was treated awfully by the owner and called names including the "R" word with profanities. I will be calling the BBB. BUYER BEWARE. The loam also had glass and trash mixed in.

The sellers…read morewere aware there had been some type of issue going on due to a backup into the basement (not their primary residence). They had this company come in: Fix the 'D' box and called it good. They passed the Title V inspection. We moved in and had immediate plumbing issues. Unbeknownst to the seller; the issue never really got solved until we finally struck 'brown' just 3 weeks in ALL evidence came to light. So we had an urgency for Septic/plumbing personnel to come shovel our troubles away only to find that our drain pipe to the tank was completely clogged with nearly 20 years of gunk. Shameful. Deceitful. Thieving... I would love to be able to post the pictures of the catastrophe in which Leahy Excavating failed us. I typically don't write reviews but Ohhh my was I less than happy having to spend hours on my hands and knees wiping up fecal matter and dishing out money for a new washer and dryer.
