I did like the seasoning and flavors of the tacos- the chicken one did have a tad too much of the farmer's cheese to where eating it got a little messy (but flavor was still great). My recent purchase was through a food-delivery company. Here are my reviews for the foods: Chips and guacamole - 4 stars - An entire brown bag was filled with tortilla chips. The guacamole was in a smaller container and tasted good. Street corn - 3 stars - Half of the corn on the cob was a bit too burned and black. I enjoyed the other half of the corn. Vegan potato taco - 3.5 stars - I usually do not order vegan food, but I did so for temporary dietary reasons. The potato chunks were fried and crispy. Pretty run of the mill "hipster taco joint" but cool, funky decor. I got the carnitas & fish tacos and enjoyed both, especially the fish. Chips tasted just like Chipotle's- staleness included. Wow these are some good tacos. Pretty much tired everything on the menu. The carnitas taco was the best in my opinion. Fried fish taco was also pretty amazing. This is one of those spots I wish I thought to eat at more often because it's delicious food, fast. This cute little Mexican spot is right on the main drag of McKnight Road. Walls depicting murals with strong day of the dead vibes are lined with sugar skull figures and prayer candles. The ceiling is covered with Mexican star lanterns. You order at the main station and receive a number before taking your seat. Staff brings your food to the table and you can toss your disposables when you're done. I've eaten here at least 4 times and the food has always been great quality served fast. Typically I'll get a shaved steak taco and whatever special menu offering the have at that time. Most recently that's been a twist on Mexican street corn, Corn in the USA. Spectacular taste and presentation with the right amount is spice to make an impact without making you sweat. Don't sleep on the churros. They're a nice dessert option that some with either a cream tip or a Nutella style tip. Go ahead and get both. read more

We came here after visiting Ross Park Mall. The seating area is decent with a nice patio. You order at a counter and then they bring it out to you. Pollo had the pulled chicken dryness which I have found at most taco places. Potato was terrible (never order this). The fish tacos were delicious. This would be the only thing I get if I ever come back. The margaritas were terrible. I would never order these again. They were dry like the bottom of a slush that you sucked all of the liquid out of. We've driven past this place a million times and finally decided to stop in. I didn't realize it was an order at the counter restaurant (although it was fine!). I got a chicken taco and a beef one. The beef one was good but nothing special. The chicken however was INCREDIBLE! Delicious chicken, loved the cheese, and the corn tortillas were as authentic as I've managed to find in pittsburgh. I went here on Saturday with my boyfriend for the first time around 5:30. We ordered a margarita, nachos, and four tacos-2 chicken, 1 pork, and 1 beef. The nachos were tasty but could have used a little more beef in proportion to the amount of chips and other toppings. Very minor but I prefer fresh jalapeños over pickled. The tacos were great. My boyfriend's fave was the beef. I had the chicken. I thought all the tacos had generous portions of protein. We also sat outside since it was nice out. I went to Doce probably 8 months ago and didn't have a great experience (forgot to write a review). The tacos (which admittedly I don't remember what I got) lacked flavor and the wait was super long even though we were there during lunch and it was pretty slow. I wasn't all that interested in going back, but we had some friends who wanted to try it and I wasn't going to say we shouldn't. This time was so different. Not sure what changed, but even on a busy night, the service was much faster. My husband and I love to share our meals because we always want the same things. It works out great because then we get to try our top two (or in this case 4) menu items. We had the special which was a fried shrimp and bbq, carnitas, ribeye, and the fish taco. Of the four, the fish taco was our least favorite, just not enough flavor and the fish seemed to be a little bit mushy. The shrimp bbq sounds weird maybe but it was divine! The carnitas had a wonderful smoky flavor and the ribeye was also really good. We both got the $12 box that comes with two tacos and chips+dip. The restaurant was a little unkempt, but it was very busy! We had our toddler with us and it always really bugs me when the high chairs are covered in crusty food from the last kid, which was the case tonight too. Came here a few nights ago. A wonderful aroma of slow-cooked meat greets you before you even walk in the front door. Inside and outside has a cozy cool vibe. Great music playing to match the vibe. Super friendly people working there. The restaurant is very clean -- which tells you just about everything you need to know. We got a bunch of different tacos to go -- beef, pork, chicken, fish. They make 'em fast -- faster than I could drink an ice cold Modelo draft. These tacos were as good as even the greatest tacos I've had out West. GREAT MODERN TACOS - FULL OF FLAVOR! I've had Doce Taqueria on my list to try for quite some time and based on previous revieWs I'm glad I waited until now, because perhaps they had some had kinks early on in opening the McKnight location that are now worked out. We really enjoyed our tacos and experience. It's a very casual, stand in line, order, and they bring your food to your table experience, which for a taco spot is perfect. We had the Pollo Taco which was made of smoked chicken that was full of flavor - my husband and I both agreed this one was right on the money. The fish taco was another one we both ordered and were super happy about. The fish was cooked perfectly, the slaw was fresh and flavorful and both get an A+ from me. The disappointments (and reason for only 4 stars) was the Americano Taco and the chips and gauc. Now, in all fairness, this is a very Americanized taco shop so this isn't where you go to get authentic Mexican, but I'm pretty certain the Gauc was what you buy at the grocery store and the Americano Taco was just your average ground beef that you'd make at home. Dont get me wrong, they were good, just not "taco restaurant good." The other winner? The Jack Frost Margarita was super delicious - albeit a little heavy. Basically a mArgarita milkshake, but my husband or I didn't mind as we were enjoying a fun date night out! Other things to note: parking is tight, we were glad we went later in the evening when they weren't that busy. Thankfully, we tried it again recently and it was way better and closer to the experience I originally had at the Southside Location. The woman at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Their guacamole is so fresh, creamy and delicious. I enjoyed both tacos but the carne mollida taco was the absolute best. The flavors were so bold. My husband really enjoyed his carnitas taco.
