I used to like Dockside quite a bit, but when I got home after my most recent visit I discovered that one of the two jars of flower that I'd purchased was not sealed (the sticker was only attached to the jar, but not to the lid), and visually appeared to be missing about 1/3 of the flower as compared to the other jar of the same size, from the same producer, of a different variety. I assumed that returning to complain would be a futile exercise as there would be no evidence that I was not the one that opened the jar and removed the flower. I also don't have a scale, and so while I'm not 100% certain that flower was missing, there is no way that a competent bud tender should be selling unsealed product. I will no longer be shopping at Dockside, and I'd recommend that you also look for a store with more trustworthy and/or competent staff. read more

Great selection of bud, vapes, edibles and glass. Visiting from San Francisco, CA. Came here to specifically get Lazy Bee Gardens and something their budtenders recommended more on the uplifting Sativa, not sulky Indica. I was given Puffin Farms flower. I wasn't impressed nor disappointed with the specific strain, Hindu Kush; it smoked well and I didn't come across any seeds or stems. I also got a strawberry cough which smelled great, was light, I could smoke more of this strain back to back to back. The physical location is really cute and well put together. I love all the natural light. I also love the way you can walk around inside and browse the surplus of products at this store. Everything is either presented on open shelving or behind glass. Well, I never thought I'd review a cannabis store, but, when in Seattle.... Upon entering, we received a friendly greeting and were immediately asked for ID. There appeared to be a pharmacist on staff, or at least someone knowledgeable enough to make recommendations based on chemical differences. There were decorative bongs, electronic vapor options, dry packaged goods, infused drinks, and infused edibles. The entire shop had a clean, designer layout, and almost luxury atmosphere as everything was spaced out and behind glass. As a shopping experience, we felt free to browse while always knowing help was near if we needed it. read more

I don't smoke weed, but I came by Dockside Cannibis-Ballard recently to get some topical CBD ointment for my knee. Located in Ballard area (or the area called FreLard (Fremont & Ballard), just off Leary Way. It's a cool looking little building near BevMo, if you are so inclined it's a good corner to get weed and alcohol for yourself. Anyways, a few training buddies of mine recommended I get some CBD ointment for my knee. I looked online and did some research, saw some products that I was interested in, cross checked to see which cannabis stores were around me, then checked if Dockside had it and they did, check the price range and so I went. Intense research. As I mentioned, it's a cool little building, friendly greetings when I entered the store, asked if they could help me or if I was looking for anything in particular etc. This is probably my 3rd time entering a cannabis store, so I am a total rookie at this stuff, very different from my college days on how one gets weed. Friendly employee directed me to the topical ointment area of the display case. I was feenin' for some ointment for my knee and I needed a hit badly....unfortunately they were out of the one I was looking for but suggested another option so I went with that. The employee said he could relate to my knee problems as he has problems too. We spoke for a while about using CBD ointments etc....Convinced and sold. He rang me up and offered me a little discount for being my first time there, which was very nice, explained to me in more detail about the product when using it, explained the return/exchange policy as well. Overall, glad I came by, they were very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about their products. I would come back. (forward a few weeks or so, the CBD ointment has helped my knee with soreness, inflammation and general pain, it doesn't get you high, no side effects for me, ointments are on the pricey side so expect a little sticker shock, the smell is a bit medicinal, rub it in real good when using it) read more

One of the hidden gems of Ballard! The products are high quality, the selection is great and the service is phenomenal. I've been trying to find my type of strain and I had trouble figuring out what to get (they have sooooo many products). Luckily Jen was able to help me and provide the best type of products I needed to be creative, yet relaxed. It's a combination of edible soda and blunts. I love Jen. Jen has helped me find weed I can handle and safely consume. She's incredibly kind, helpful and a joy to be around. Whenever I end up at dockside I try to get to her cash register because she's the best. I feel taken cared of when I interact with her. Been going to Ballard Dockside for 2 years now BUT all thing change as does the employee customer service at Ballard Dockside. Used to love this place and have felt "welcomed and comfortable" with people working there. Tonight I met "Steph" or Stephanie and that experience motivated me to write this review.... I will not be returning to this location. "Customer Service" has declined here over the past year and there are many other wonderful shops out there to give your business too..PLEASE look around for that "great experience of shopping" and being treated well! I have lived a couple blocks from this spot for about 6 months now. As much as I try I just can't come around to liking it. Sure, it will suit in a spot but I prefer anywhere else. I feel like there is more flash than substance, and the music is usually much too loud. My biggest complaints are that I find it too expensive for the quality of cartridge products. Pax Pods are 45$ and most of their carts are disposable or poor quality brands (oleum) or those thick cascadia gardens that don't fit in my Silo. The don't have much glassware either. I also bought a pen vape from them, similar to the vuber, but the charger is all fucked up and I can bately get the battery to funct The do have a no-fee ATM which is fantastic. The employees are always nice and helpful. I like the location too. edited: Thank you Teri for reaching out. I am part of the loyalty program but I have yet to receive a discount or maybe I am just not told. I also haven't figured out how to see what points I get on purchases. I am not much of a talker. I am very fond of Dockside Ballard, and go back and forth between Hashtag, OZ and American Mary, as I live in Wallingford. For having a warn, open and accepting place that values diversity and justice weed users jailed everywhere, Hashtag has it down. I know I won't run into any jerks here (e.g. dismissive, talking on phone, disconnected or even worse sizing people up and allowing their security watch you closely (I won't tell you which one that is!) As for American Mary, I know not how it was --but, with the first glimpse of the building, a sense of insufferable gloom pervaded my spirit. I say insufferable; for the feeling was unrelieved by any of that half-pleasurable, because poetic, sentiment, with which the mind usually receives even the sternest natural images of the desolate or terrible. However I was most pleased to learn that the staff are very nice, the place on the inside welcoming and the prices good. It feels somewhat hippy-like in there, but that could just be me projecting. Dockside has something special. They have outdoor meals (I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's Jamaican meal, dude was really nice) and there, at least at the Ballard dispensary, a pervasive sense that all anywhere is welcome to be with us as one, unified in our love of smoking weed. read more

The only reason I came here is for a specific garden. And the strain they grow. I ordered online no problem. When I arrived the Door/ID checker was really nice. I had to wait maybe 4 minutes. When I got inside the bud tender was so rude he acted like I was bothering him. He had cotton candy pink dreads. I didn't pick that color. I don't know why he was mad at me!! If you don't like your job.....quit!! I tipped because I hope they spilt the tips. The other guys seemed to be nice. I would love to give this place a 5 cause my bud tender Corey always makes up for the poor customer service they have. First time went in, wasn't ID (no big deal) there were so many people behind the counter and no one asked if I need help, which we all do with items behind the counter. But I stood there for 5 minutes no help at all. Then Corey came and helped me. Second time, went in, cool they ID me. Was told I need to go to the end of the carpet and I'll be helped, I asked if I can wait for Corey (hoping he would know what I bought last time - he did 5stars) but the girl I asked gave off the a very rude, "uhh I guess?" Probably one of the best shops in the ballard area IMO. Love these guys. They have a really great range of bottom to top shelf product despite not having the biggest storefront in the world. They very rarely run out of there "regularly stocked" brands which also tend to run cheaper than most dispensaries. so clearly whoever is doing purchasing for this store is doing an amazing job. Also the budtenders AND security guards are really great. I've never had a single bad customer service experience here no matter what time I stop by. The ONLY criticism I have is the lack of industry discount, which is just me wanting a discount since Im in i502 lol. Overall really really awesome shop, thanks guys! read more
