The sides here are whatever, but this place is getting a five star based on the burgers alone. Love, love, LOVE these burgers. It's like all of the best things about a Culver's burger and a Wendy's burger combined, but BETTER. I've had the both the classic and the the KC and loved both. They flavors are always fresh and the textures of the soft bun, gooey cheese, and the cool crisp veggies are always spot on. It's a great sign when there's a long drive-thru for Doc's & it's surrounded by chain restaurants. We dined in & it was very clean, and our food came quickly. Everything was made fresh to order we were very pleased. However, zero stars for the counter gal. I explained that we're from Michigan traveling to our daughter and son-in-law's for Thanksgiving. The Wisconsin welcome center recommended Doc's. I explained I need a quick lunch and I wanted to eat someplace unique! We generally don't travel to another state to eat at Arby's!!! Speedy and friendly service paired with an excellent burger has me wanting to visit Beloit again. This place was recommended by one of the locals and sure did not disappoint. It was about 3:30 in the afternoon, so the place was empty. I was a bit concerned at first, but my food was exceptional for fast food. I had the Swisconsin burger, seasoned fries, and a drink for about $10. My meal was way better than any national fast food chain could have been. The best up and coming quick service restaurant in decades!! The food, nothing short of amazing, and who ever is running this joint, is treating the employees like gold, because they were so amazing and genuine, and really took the time to let us know about the concept, as well as the menu. I had the hot Mediterranean beef salad. GENIUS!! It couldn't have been more balanced and flavorfull, greens with feta, Gardinera, jalapeños, and hot Italian beef! Not too much, but definitely satisfying. This place was great the way I have described it, and doesn't need anymore fluffing up, but since I'm here....the meat they use is all natural, hormone free, and cooked for you, and the music in the dining room, excellent choice! Plus they serve your food on metal plates, no plastic or foam, or paper with instructions. Doc's was my first restaurant experience in Beloit. I expected a local fast food joint, nothing special. What I found was a casual burger joint with a large menu, higher than expected prices, and some of the best service I've ever had in a burger joint. The staff was phenomenally pleasant, cheerful, and great at helping with recommendations. Their good cheer was infectious. The prices are higher than a fast food joint, which is not a problem when the food is good. I was able to customize my burger and the seasoned fries were amazing. all good flavor and and it was awesome to find a burger with blue cheese at a "fast food joint". This was the first time I've left a tip at a place with a drive thru. 2nd Visit- I went through the drive thru. It's a bit slower, along the lines of a Culvers since they are making the food fresh. Thumbs-up from our family of four. To start - fast food & high standards. From the register employee who took our order, and gave good suggestions for "what's good here" in a friendly and efficient manner to the hot crispy food that ranges from delicious burgers to Italian Beef Mediterranean salad. It was a success all around. The restaurant is clean and modern. Tables were well maintained and plentiful. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Not much more you could ask for in that department. Overall, I can't think of one thing that did not impress us in this visit. My only disappointment is that we live 4.5 hours away but we will be sure to make this our 'go to' restaurant when we are passing through. Enjoy! read more

I had a "create your own burger" and it was delicious! I read a few of the other posts about the price of the burgers being high and then comparing it to a McDonalds burger. The reason that the cost is a little higher is because the beef is antibiotic and hormone free! If you don't care what you put in your body, by all means save a buck and eat a Big Mac. If you are health conscious, but still want to enjoy a burger, eat at DOC's. You won't be sorry! The atmosphere is modern, open and clean. They are well staffed and courteous. This can be summed up in a few major points: 1) if I ask for extra of something or minus something, I'd expect it to be correct; after several different occasions, I'm consistently given the wrong order 2) the food is absolutely delicious. 3) if it was not for point 1, I would have no qualms giving this review 4/5 __________________________________________________________ UPDATE: The food is good, sure, but that can never replace consistency. Over the past two months, I have placed two or three phone orders, and each time I have gotten the wrong order; ordering something with extra ingredients or without certain ingredients and receiving the opposite of what I ordered is beyond frustrating. Paying for extra ingredients and having them be totally neglected is unacceptable for me, especially since this is the fourth or fifth time it's happened; having to take off ingredients I asked to not be there is also unacceptable. I rate this 1/5 because the food is good, but everything else is a disaster. Similar to a number of previous reviews, the prices are very high for what you get. I went with the Italian beef and fries (no drink) and it was $10. Pricey for fast food, but on top of that the portion of beef on the sandwich was disappointing. There was a good inch on both ends of the bun that had no meat, and the thickness in the middle did not make up for it. Amount of fries would be equivalent to no more than a small at most other places, and they were nothing special. Would expect more for $10. Flavor of beef was good, but not good enough to compensate. They have a number of other sandwiches that sound good, but again, cost is high. Turkey Bacon Ranch sub (my 1st choice to try) was $11+tax, couldn't bring myself to pay that!! A couple of the burgers sounded good and they are between $8-$10. I recently tried Lucy's #7 and it was one of the best burgers I've had in the area, for around the same price and it's a sit down restaurant. I may give Doc's one more chance and try a burger just to be fair, but they may need to make some adjustments to portions and/or prices to compete. read more

went into Doc's last Saturday. waited by the counter for 8 minutes without anyone even telling me I'll be with you in a minute. no response from anyone. two other people were enjoying their lunch at one of the tables. no one was in front of me. so what was the problem. the problem is that everyone that worked there was too busy kissing ass to the drive thru customers. this is the same with any place that has drive thru. customers that take the time to walk into the place of business are considered second class and that is frickin bullshit. Doc's has lost my business like all the others that have drive thru service. you don't have a minus on your grading schedule so i will be considerate and give them a one. the door worked. read more

I came here twice for lunch. The first time I had chicken Caesar salad. The second time I had the chicken salad BLT. Both salads were very good and I enjoyed the lunch. The chicken was excellent and the salad was fresh. The employees were friendly and helpful. The place is clean and there is plenty of seating. I do recommend coming here for lunch. read more

Ordered a buffalo blue wrap with fries and a drink. Asked for no blue cheese and tomato and added ranch. It was repeated back to me. Got my food and there was no buffalo sauce and blue cheese on it. Had they not set themselves up for failure by touting themselves as "seriously good food" I would have given them a 3 star, but as it stands, they get 2. This is a fast food joint... That isn't that fast. You order at the counter and have the food delivered to your table. Not a bad experience although we had to ask for a paper menu for my fiancé to be able to see all the options to build your own. Personally I drink diet soda or unsweetened iced tea. I'm not a Pepsi fan and that's the only diet they had in their fountain machine. They had a tea canister set behind but no tea brewed in it. A little disappointing but I survived with water. The food took about 15 minutes to be delivered to our table. It wasn't a big deal to us, but to people expecting a fast food experience, be aware of that. The food was just okay. It wasn't great, it wasn't bad. It just seemed very average. For what you pay I would expect just a little bit more. My fiancé had the classic burger with cheddar. She said that it was definitely a fresh burger but it was just a burger. Nothing special and the bun fell apart. The fry and onion ring portions were definitely on the small side. Had the hamburger with pepper jack cheese and the aoili truffle sauce...omg amazing. Burger was super tasty and the buns were very good quality. The seasoned fries were equally as good as the burger. Love that Doc's has diet mountain dew and free refills. Grabbed a chocolate shake on the way out and it was one of the best shakes I've had. I will go back to Doc's just to grab a shake. Liked that there were healthy options on the menu. Very clean with lots of TV's to watch while eating. Staff was very nice and helpful. Doc's needs some work on their menu. There are too many options and the staff wasn't very helpful when taking our order. I ordered a chicken wrap that was overpriced and hardly had any chicken in it. On the side I had some fries, but again, the portion size was not sufficient. It seemed like we paid a lot for what we ended up getting. For as much as this place is charging, I could have sat down and had a meal. To feed our family, I expected better food and portions for the price I paid. read more

Tried a customized burger and the Philly cheese - which btw is more like a French dip (even comes with au jus on the side!). This place is on a former Wendy's and now it is something called docs. hey have burgers and subs along with some of the best fries I have tasted. The drive-thru time was slow and not as quick as a national chain despite the number of people that seemed to be working. Overall though the wait was worth it and there is plenty of seating as I enjoyed another meal in a car. read more
