I was there last night with family- my first time there but they've been there a few times before. The beers are good, cocktails were so so... I ordered the jambalaya and was extremely disappointed . It said it had sausage, chicken and shrimp but honestly the chicken was non existent. There were like 3 pieces of sausage and 5 BAY SHRIMP. Honestly my plate was a bed of rice topped off with sauce not jambalaya. The cornbread was perhaps the only good thing on the plate... I've had great jambalaya at other places but the one at G5 lacked in all aspects. If you are going to serve jambalaya- serve JAMBALAYA not just the sauce over the rice. It didn't taste good either. Total disappointment. My family ordered their burgers medium rare but they were cooked to well done instead... there's nothing to write home about at this place. The location is great, the views are beautiful but the food at G5 could be better. I'm not recommending this place and I'm definitely not making the drive here again. read more

Hard to find an spinach artichoke dip that's worth writing about but this one was hands down amazing! Creamy cheesy goodness! The breakfast pizza was delicious! Crust was perfect and crispy, the gravy base and toppings all make your mouth water! G5 staff were very friendly and we're on top of refills too. The place it's self is very inviting and when it's nice out the outdoor seating is great! read more

Really enjoy this place. The beer flavors are original and rotate all the time. The food is some of the best at a brewery I've had. Pizza is great, and they have monthly specials. Just joined their Mug Club for $125 and get 3 free beers a month plus discounts on food. Service can be a little slow sometimes, especially when busy, but still always friendly. Love the vibe in here too. Cozy and casual, plus events like trivia and live music weekly. read more

Stopped by this brewery after seeing it on the map and it did not disappoint! The building looks to be brand new and has incredible views from the inside! The beer was outstanding, I tried some of the hazy IPAs and they were all very good. We had the Chicken Bacon Artichoke pizza that was incredibly good! The bartender was friendly and was working on the new batch of seasonal cocktails while we were there. Would definitely recommend and we will be back! read more

We tried this out as we were on our way to classic cinema for date night and we like trying new places in the area. I'm not a beer drinker, but my husband enjoyed his beer (I think #15 sorry) and his burger. It did seem like it took a little bit of a long time for the food to come out. There seemed to be live music starting midway/towards the end of our meal, I don't know if they were warming up, or what but it was a little grating on the ears while enjoying our meal. The food though was fantastic. I had the chicken tenders and fries and I haven't had such good ones in a long time. The sauces are house made too so of course I had to get both the ranch and the honey mustard. Amazing. I took half home and reheated in the air fryer and fyi, mixing the ranch and honey mustard is *chef's kiss* my husband pointed out late they had buffalo sauce as well (in house) so we'll be back read more

Favorite place in Beloit!!! By far. Lots of room, clean, inside and outdoor seating, mixed drinks, great beer. This is a great place for any occasion. High top, low top and bar seating. We always look for new micro breweries on our travels and took a chance here. It was well worth the stop! Great atmosphere delicious food and craft beers! We were greeted welcoming and our table server was helpful patient with questions and attentive during on visit. We ordered cheese curds for app 3 different drafts and sandwiches with pub chips. This place is located on top of a hill with great views! It's good for big groups and has a out door space with fireplaces. They have awesome grassy areas that I wish they put some seating on. The patio is just straight concrete and feels a little cold and prison yard-y. Anyway, food is pretty good and the people are nice. read more

I feel like a spoil sport because the rest of my group enjoyed the food, but I was disappointed. The service was friendly, premises were clean, and the menu was varied. But the food was only moderate. I had the grilled pear salad with chicken. The salad was fresh, but the chicken was way over-cooked and very dry. I also tried the margherita pizza. The dough was thin had a good crust, but was surprisingly salty. Also, instead of fresh basil, it was heavily sauced with pesto. One diner had fish and chips, which has a good beer batter, but several pieces were gristly. So I thought it was hit and miss. read more

Stopped in around noon on a Sunday with a group of 13 people and they had no problem getting tables ready for our large group. Ordered a flight of five beers and all five beers were really good. Ordered a bunch of appetizers for the table to share and some were good and others weren't. The shrimp, pretzel and cheese curds were all good but the spinach artichoke dip and the hummus were pretty bad. My wife and I then shared the meat lovers pizza which was very tasty. Service was a tad slow as previous reviews mentioned, but not so bad to warrant a terrible review. Awesome space inside (outside looked really nice too), above average beer and pretty good food. I was at a road-driving meetup with 13 people in Beloit. We went up to Janesville and a few of us decided to drive back to Beloit instead of explore Janesville. We all figured we'd say our goodbyes. We were wrong. With all the talking and how quickly they explored Janesville, we actually all found each other again before dinner. 11 of the 13 of us agreed to go together... and G5 was the choice! It's just off the highway, they brew their own delicious beer, and they have the requisite Wisconsin food: cheese curds. Beer: 5 stars. Nice selection - they had a dark beer and a nice darker amber for me. Check out their rotating taps: https://www.g5brewing.net/beer.html Food: 3.33 stars. Cheese curds better than lunch but not as good as what I happened into the next evening - at least the right balance of bread and cheese, just not that many curds and not quite the right texture. My friend next to me got mac 'n' cheese and I noticed there was not all that much bratwurst for the mix or the price. Stuff here is priced midscale, typical of a brewery, so while the quality is good, the portions are small for the money and apparently tilted toward the less expensive ingredients. That's my main knock. Service: 4.5 stars. Started good, then there was a gap for awhile where none of us could get water or beer or other refills. The waitress was busy at other tables, not slacking, but sorta forgot us in that gap. She made up for it later once our food came out and was stopping by frequently from that point on, so most of the stars come back. Atmosphere: 5 stars. It's a nice size in there, not cramped at all, and definitely feels like where you'd drink beer. So they nailed that one. Overall, probably a strong 4 stars, but really my #1 thing is that they've gotta work on the food to get to the 5 that's in their name. Increase portions and balance the ingredients a little better, and that can totally happen. read more

Solid experience. Was in town to tour the college with my high school senior and her brother and mother. I'm a beer nerd, and my family are good sports, so we hit breweries whenever we can. It was dead on a Thursday night when we arrived around 6:30, so we were promptly seated. The space is pretty big - including what looked like an upstairs area? Service was good overall. Good selection of beer options, and both of the IPAs we ordered were exceptional. The food was not okay - we started out with cheese curds which were average, and I expect big things from cheese curds in Wisconsin. I had the sweet chili salmon - the rice and sauce were good, the salmon was not. One kid had a pizza he said was okay (he loves pizza) and the other had chicken fingers, which were unexpectedly spicy. Wife had a salad which arrived warm. I'd give the beer five stars and the food two. I'd come back for the beer, but I'd order something else food-wise to give it another try. read more

Firstly, the beer. I had the Farmhouse tea party saison and it was meh. It was more bitter than I expected a saison to be, has a bitter herbal aftertaste and very faint fruit note. I was here on a Sunday night and food service was slow. The food was decent; the salmon was on the salty side, the potatoes were alright and spinach is hard to mess up. Food was excellent____service was lacking to start. The gentleman that greeted our party was great (the way you should be greeted). Seated and then.......we wait. 10-15 minutes elapsed. We were greeted and provided water. We asked the server for a beer list, "its on the wall", but actually G5 does have beer list; a nice one. Had to ask the bartender for a list, she did not seem to excited to be working nor to entertained about questions about different beer styles and request for samples. Is that not the point of a brewery? We waited another 10 minutes for our server to take our app/beer order. Once we did it took another 15 minutes for the beer to come, only after I asked to her grab them where they sat at the bar. Our server was replaced with another and the experience changed. Our apps came before the beer/drinks, so that eliminated the need to reorder a 2nd round (lost rev). The pretzel was good (nice presentation) along with cheese curds. The Reuben and G5 soup were excellent with the nice side of broccoli salad. We will look forward to another visit. Stopped in here by accident and had the absolute BEST time. Thank you to Emily (and good luck) for serving up not only a delicious lunch but tasters of your fabulous beer. From start to finish (and we sampled all eleven of 'rm) they were outstanding. We felt like we hit the motherlode of flavorful creamy aromatic beers that we both enjoyed immensely. I had really high expectations for this brewery from what I heard from friends who visited frequently. I went with a group of people over the weekend, and we were really excited about the amazing views from the restaurant, however, our experience slowly dwindled from there. The server took quite awhile to greet our table, and when we asked about the beer (I mean it is a brewery) she seemed surprised we didn't know the choices were online. We didn't get any recommendations for beer (which is fine just surprising). We ordered cheese curds to start and the table all agreed they were pretty good. For entrees we had a mix of choices, and they were all pretty OK. I went with the manchego pasta dish, and it sadly lacked flavor. I would probably give this place another shot but it wouldn't be at the top of my choices for Beloit area restaurants. read more

The beers are great and the staff seems quite nice . Good good and place is very cool inside . Just super odd that they closed at 10pm on a Friday and even more bizarre on how they seriously were shutting lights off as patrons sat in there . Staff were running everyone out the door . I'd be hard pressed to understand the logic as to why you push away paying patrons and an almost full bar at a brewery on a Friday night . We will go back as it's a really neat places and a jewel in the area but not later at night unless we hear they're extending hours . read more

Great food and good beer. Our server was super sweet and attentive. This is my first time coming and I went with family to celebrate my birthday. It was a Sunday so kind of slow but good for us. I got the pulled pork sandwich and my family members got the chicken bacon ranch pizza and burger. All of us were satisfied with our meals and left with take home containers because the portions were so generous. I had asked for a side salad instead of fries and was told "of course!". Any establishment that's willing to work with you on healthier options is a plus for me. The ambience was very modern and typical for a brewery. Nice modern brewery pub on a hill. I sat at the end of the bar and soon realized that I would be invisible in the spot I was located. I relocated near the middle of the bar close to the taps and was seen and provided menus. The average flight is 5 five oz beers. The bartender was friendly and prompt. G5 is one of my favorite spots in Beloit! The vibe of the brewery is very cool. It's clean, sleek and very spacious inside. I always love to sit at the bar or out on their patio when the weather is nice. They have great beers that rotate out quite frequently. They also have cocktails, wine, sodas and more to choose from if you're not a beer drinker. They have phenomenal food as well. I've loved everything I've tried, especially the cheese curds! The staff has always been super friendly and accommodating. We actually came here after my wedding rehearsal with the wedding party and had a great time. The staff was awesome and has been each time we've visited in Beloit! Definitely worth a visit. :) read more

A delightful, large brewery tucked away in Beloit which I would have never found except for Yelp! Not a huge selection of beer, but I did like their kolsch and kettle sour. Good for summer days!
