I have been there before and was great but I did have to go back in and the doctor was great even the medical assistant was great but while I was waiting I saw a man that was very rude and disrespectful to patients and to the ladies working there made me really upset because I myself wouldn't want to be treated like that as a patient or a worker and he made me feel uncomfortable and I will not be going back to that place because I don't ever want to see that kind of disrespect in front of myself or my family again. Avoid this place! Went for a rapid covid test because I couldn't get one at CVS until next day where I usually would go. I was told it would take an hour for results. I did not get my results till the next day! The place was also super dirty! The only saving grace was the person who took my test was pleasant. I went in on a Thursday and a week later still no results and no insight into when my lab results were going to be done. Stay away from that place. Went there to get a referral because my doctor's office closed suddenly. Had a 10 am appointment. Was seen by the doctor at 10:50. Needed a referral to get my knee drained of excess fluid. After examining the knee the doctor said the person who does the referrals was there that day and he would put in in ASAP. I gave him the name AND address of the place I needed it done as I had been there 3 times before and they were familiar with my situation. Very long story short, the referral wasn't done. When I called Friday the next day, I was told referrals are only done on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I WAS there on a Thursday morning but was told I was on a "list" and it would be done on Tuesday. Was also told, rudely, that she didn't work on weekends so I would have to wait. I never asked her to work on a weekend so i don't know what the attitude was all about. A week later I got a call from Yale, not the place I requested. I explained my situation to the Yale representative and did not make the appointment with them. I drove down to Docs and asked the person at the desk if I could have the name of the doctor I had seen that day. I then asked if I could see him. She asked what it was about, and I explained my situation. She said she was the one who did the referral and said she couldn't send the referral to Hammers and Riccio Imaging as I had requested because she couldn't send a surgical referral to a dermatologist office. I told her I had been there 3 time previously and I never had an issue with a referral. I asked to see the doctor, she said she would have to put it into the system as a visit. I asked if I was going to be charged for the visit she said yes. I said there was no way I was going to pay for their mistake. It wasn't a surgical procedure, the place and address I gave them was obviously NOT the one she looked up otherwise she would have known Hammers And Riccio Imaging in fact do this procedure. I left and went to Priority Urgent Care on Hemingway Ave. They couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. I had the referral and had my appointment booked the very next day. I noticed a sign on the wall at Docs that said if you had any issues to contact them. I did, I explained everything in much more detail than I did here but to NO surprise, I never heard back from them. Avoid Docs on Foxon Road if at all possible. The doctor was fine, the staff that I delt with was NOT. I left out a lot more, but I didn't want to list all of my issues, I have better things to do with my time. read more

My name is John. I went to Docs urgent care in East haven to get a license to drive a limousine . I went last year to docs in orange for the same thing a f license. Last year I was approved. I was on the same medication no criminal history no violations on my license I have held 1 job for 30 years and retired. I held a second job after retiring for 9 years. I've held those 2 jobs for my entire life. This time this dr wanted 3 letter s 1 from my pain dr which I been on the same medication for many years and both of my previous employers where aware . Those two jobs I also had to have a FBI background check. The other two requirements a letter from my primary care and letter from a psychiatrist. Well getting in a visitation with a psychiatrist is impossible. It would take months. I went back and explained. I drive a vehicle. I own five vehicles I own two houses. I've worked vetted jobs which I drove vehicles and I was approved eight months ago, I believe that the psychiatrist letter, which would be a stranger to evaluate me is overkill and the job called me and said it's been three weeks. We need to have an answer this week. I explained that to Dr. Rohit Manamoth he did not care he wanted the letter. I said this would be a complete stranger evaluating me for what I already was approved before my character and job history speaks for itself. I drive a vehicle now what difference would it make to get a psychiatrist to approve me. He said well I would go back to the other primary doctor that approved you last year I told him it was DocsHe pulled up the letter and said he made a mistake. Another words he was not going to bend on his policy. he brought up data. I believe that people have become so disconnected, especially doctors insurance companies, corporate companies that we are a data chip. We are no longer humans of any value whatever the computer says that's what they make decisions and rules by even when he showed me the computer screen and the information was incorrect. It's very sad to see that humanity has lost the control to make a decision on a person, for his or her honor, integrity, and background and groups everybody into a data chip. all this is over a Valium so if you need to get an F license, which is the lowest of all CDL or any other license, I recommend that you do not go to Doc s because they are incapable of making human decisions and evaluate a person for not who they are and will not bend on their policy that is not for the DOT but done to protect themselves. he even though I told him that I would lose the job and I need to feed my family. He did not care . To much. Power has been given to these companies, medical facilities, etc. to make decisions only because you were scored by data point system and not by your record of history, which my case is very solid. it seems if you speak up and dispute what others have to say , because they have the power they could do what they ever they want you. It's a sad day when We are no longer judged on years of hard work families that we provided for, clean records of driving and criminal , but what is stored in a computer, which is inputted by humans who make mistakes, especially today people don't want to do their jobs properly. I lost a job today because somebody did not want to evaluate the person that I am. But a rating on a computer. I think that's unacceptable. I just wanna share what happened to me and hope it doesn't happen to you.. Also the reason I did not retain my F license was due to an emergency surgery. I didn't realize that it would expire in 90 days if I had went to DMV and got the F added to my license then I won't be dealing with this today. read more

My mother is an elderly cancer patient who just tested positive for Covid-19 while visiting from out of state. This is a test-to-treat site which receives federal funding to prescribe Paxlovid or monoclonal antibodies to high risk patients. I took her here for treatment. They accepted her co-pay and conducted a telehealth appointment, as they said there is no on-site doctor. She was told the provider would call her by the end of the day to prescribe her treatment. No one ever called her, and she was never treated. This seems like a scam. read more

Never go to this location for medical care. They seem to not know what they are doing. Their telehealth is worthless. No doctor was on site. The staff at the reception desk was unfriendly and told me they couldn't treat me. I never received a phone call with results and followup from the provider as I was promised. I was told I'd get results by phone call in 15 minutes. 2 hours later I tried to call them. I finally got through to corporate after 45 minutes on hold, then was connected to East Haven and put on hold again. That person told me the doctors are so busy but the provider would call me, "hopefully by the end of the day." 36 hours later, I've heard nothing. I think this might be a scam. I am an older person with several health issues. My pulmonologist directed me to DOCs Urgent Care in East Haven so I could have a Covid & flu test with rapid results. I have all of the Covid symptoms. I entered all of my medical information (including ins. company and membership number) on their website hours in advance of my appointment. Arrived early & asked to use the restroom, after which I would sit in my car until it was time for appt. Receptionist wanted to get started on my appt. so asked for my ID & insurance card right then. OK-I visited the dirtiest bathroom I have ever seen. Even gas station restrooms are cleaner. Directed to a 2nd restroom that had not been flushed in a VERY long time; red tape holding flush handle in place. Sat in a dirty waiting room (no attempt at distancing) for 45 minutes and then told they do not accept Yale insurance. I explained I was a Yale retiree, and that Aetna administers Medicare and their own supplemental plan. It made no difference--- "We do not accept Yale." The staff had my insurance information for a good 5 hours before they realized they could not accept it. I have never experienced this response. My insurance is great and is recognized by every medical office and hospital I have ever visited. Go elsewhere. This place is sub-standard and filthy. read more

Disorganized, poor communication and the day that I came in, their doctor called in sick in other words, if you have a medical emergency, you're out of luck. Luckily, I am here for a Covid test required by my job. The place is clean with plenty of parking. I didn't see any attempt to sanitize chairs (or anything) in between patients. The one and only person managing patients had none. He was snippy, nasty and clearly hates his job (big guy with ponytail). He was mean to people who called in and couldn't have been less hospitable. I really hate to do this but my husband had the worst urgent care experience of his life here. He said he would have been better off looking at webmd and taking an at home Covid test. They had no in house doctor or anyone at the level could look at his ears nose and throat like they said they could on the phone. They told him a doctor was in on the phone but when he came in (after a two hour wait) it was just a Skype visit with a doctor. Avoid this place if possible. Incredibly unprofessional, we were told over the phone they were so busy and we were advised to seek a different urgent care. When we called the north haven location they advised us that wasn't true. We went to east haven anyway, (north haven is only tele health and we needed bloodwork done) to find NOT ONE SINGLE OTHER PATIENT was checked in. Nurse at the front desk was on her personal phone the whole time switching between her personal conversations and answering the work phone. Which we overheard her telling another person to look for a different location due to them being busy. We spent over 2 hours when all we needed was bloodwork and paperwork. The nurse was incompetent and stuck my boyfriend multiple times to draw blood. (We're also healthcare workers and know that the vein she was going for Hellen Keller could get.) also while my bf was in the back, nurses were heard saying his name out loud and personal healthcare information where it could be heard in the waiting room (which now had two other people in it) no follow up information was given even though he needs to return for repeat bloodwork and obtain workers comp paperwork. They never sent the paperwork and when we called to address it were put on hold for over 30 minutes to where we had to hang up and call back. The person at the phone was acting like she knew nothing about him ever calling so she definitely put him on hold and forgot about him (probably to continue her own personal conversation). I went to this place because I live right down the road, there was a large sign outside that said: Free Covid Testing-Walk In. I go in fill out the paperwork and wait for an hour, then the secretary says ohh we do not take Husky at this time, we used to but not today, and you must make an appointment. I was pissed and told myself never to go back. But, 2 weeks ago my Dad was feeling dizzy and out of breath, he has Cancer and Copd. Walk through the door, !!! OMG OMG MASKS ? , Mask where is your mask, ok so we got masks. Tried to tell her my dad cannot breathe so putting a mask on him is not a good idea, she said then you need to go somewhere else. My anger was rising fast but I needed a doctor to help. We stayed, and she disappeared for 10 seconds, came back, and told us that the "Doctor" will not see him because his oxygen level is too low. Call 911 or drive to the hospital. We never saw a "doctor" so how does he know we MUST call 911? Is there a real doctor there? I was so angry I yelled fuck this place and fuck you, drove to Yale Cancer Hospital, and my Dad saw a real, professional Doctor that was visibly there and spoke. lol. Either this place is a CIA safe house, a scam, or just a dirty, unprofessional, money-sucking waste of time. I do not mean to be so harsh but wtf, I have met locals who say the same thing. I took my husband here after hurting his ankle at work. The wait was long and when he was finally seen, the PA didn't even touch his ankle. They took an x-ray and said it was just a sprain and made another appt. for this Monday. We were told that they didn't accept worker's comp insurance. I can't believe they didn't know that before we went there for a second time. But, lucky for us, we were seen by a competent facility that re-x-rayed the ankle and said it was fractured. They were appalled that this facility only gave my husband an ace bandage. He is now in a full boot and getting the care he should have gotten a week ago. Went into examining room & young tech asked why I wanted Covid test. Told her I was there to see a doctor. "Oh, we don't have a doctor, she called out. You'll have to go to North Haven." Really? I went here to get treated for strep throat, and the loser at the front counter kept telling me that there was a problem with my insurance card when there WAS NOT because I called the insurance company and the lady told me that my card was active and I was using the correct one. The service desk lady with the glasses was just lazy and rude. I had to leave and come back 3 seperate times and they refused to take me each time. Along with the first words out of her mouth the second I walk in the door up to the counter is "where is your mask?" COVID IS OVER WE DONT WEAR MASKS ANYMORE. I have been to DOCS many times before with not a single problem. Today I had a medical issue and was TURNED AWAY because "the doctor working today doesn't accept your insurance." I can go to any other DOCS in this state and be seen literally no problem. I called a different DOCS informed them of the situation. They were confused and told me they have never heard of that before and neither have I. Our visit could have been life threatening. I took my wife here because she had a severe headache like never before. We feared signs of a stroke. The receptionist politely took our info and told us the wait would be "...a few minutes...". We waited about one hour and finally learned that three people were ahead of us. We walked out and headed for Yale New Haven Hosp. This is not for urgent care. The receptionist is no triage nurse (see did not know how to take blood pressure) and misled us about the wait. This can be a review of few words because the words I would like to use to describe how I was treated at Docs Urgent Care in East Haven are likely not allowed to be posted on this website. I am sure many people, like myself, have tried to find ways to still enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and keep their families as safe as possible. For this reason, I decided to get a rapid test for Covid (having just gotten a non rapid back the week before negative) the day before Thanksgiving for some added peace of mind. The short of it is I had to wake up at 5am just to make an appointment on an app which I only even found out is what they use from word of mouth only to have them cancel it and say they switched systems. They tell you to go online and make an appointment and the link on the website doesn't work. I show up anyway and the woman at the front desk is so nasty that when I ask her what I can do she simply doesn't respond and ignores me. I say "ma'am?" and no response, she is scowling. A gentleman walks in behind me and looking right past me asks him how she can help him. Docs made it all but impossible to make an appointment, I played the game and got one, then they canceled it and gave no alternative. I take the morning off work to go and still try and I got ignored by the front desk woman, then when I asked her to please answer me she kicked everyone out of the waiting room and told us to stand outside in the cold. Maybe 12 people went through the same thing just while I was there, I'm sure more will go through it today. I actually watched them avoid the phones, which I had already tried. I waited an hour after my scheduled appointment for my Covid/Flu test before I just walked in. They didn't even have me in the queue because the system was being rebooted. The tester told me they would call me with a positive result. I said I need proof of negative result for my employer. She hastily circled instructions on a barely legible paper and said follow the circles because the web site isn't working right. I spent hours later trying to get my results. It was a horrible technical loop. Never got my results. The web site is atrocious. I was sick trying to do all this. No one answers the phone, it's just an announcement, which may as well say "We really don't care what you need, and we're never going to answer this phone". The next day I had to drive back to the facility, wait in line again to get my results. They could care less about my troubles. She gave me my results, but when I got home I noticed there was no Flu results. I can't go in without a negative Flu result either. I had to drive back AGAIN, wait in line AGAIN to get my Flu results. When I told her she didn't give me the Flu results she said "You didn't ask me for the Flu results, you asked me for the Covid test results. What? Why wouldn't I want all the results of all the tests took? Why would I literally drive there to get my results if I didn't have to? Horrible experience. The place itself is dark, dank, and the most unfriendly atmosphere of any medical facility I've ever been to. I should have waited to go to CVS the next day.
