I'm giving a two star review rather than a one star because we initially hired Doctor Pool to drain and clean our pool that was in very rough shape. They did an excellent job with that and they were efficient and transparent with the pricing. So much so that we gladly hired them to service our pool weekly. That is where things got bad. Our pool service was only consistent for a couple of weeks and then, once the holiday schedule (Memorial Day) was understandably altered, it was on different days from that point on. I could live with that with communication but there was none. The pool was left with leaves in it frequently after being serviced and for the last 3 weeks it looked like it had been neglected. When I reached out to see what was happening, I was told "you have a lot of trees and debris around the pool and it is hard to work." We do have trees in the yard that sometimes drop seeds in July, but they are easily moved aside with the broom we leave out or by sweeping them to the side with your foot. It has never been a problem with prior pool services. They then suggested that we buy a solar skimmer, which sure, could help, but also, we pay $170 a month to service a pool and the expectation is that it would look clean after each service. We were told the pool would be cleaned more this week to remove leaves. The technician was here for 20 minutes. The picture below is what the pool looked like when he left. Although Mie in the office is polite, as a person who has worked in customer service, I have a hard time crediting a company with service when they consistently blame the customer rather than working to solve the problem. It takes a lot for me to go out of my way to write a negative review about a company but this is a case where I wish I had gone with my gut the first time they blamed the customer and changed companies. Long story short, if you need a pool drained/cleaned or equipment changed, this may be a good company for you. But I would not recommend getting weekly service through them by any means. read more

Doctor pool came out because my water pump for my pool stopped producing jet pressure. My pool guy assumed it was a bad pool pump and wanted to replace the pump for over $1500. However in researching the issue online most pool owners noted a clog in the pipes as the likely issue especially since the equipment was less than 3 years old. Doctor pool came out and confirmed what I expected, the issue was related to a clog in the pipes. They came out within a couple of days and fixed the issue, unclogging the pipes for $150. this is my second experience with , although my experience with them were several years apart, I called very late in the evening and left a message, they got back to me the next morning, and although initially they wanted to set up the appointment for the following day, I explained that this would not be possible for me because I was leaving on a trip, the very same technician who had dealt with a different concern. I had a few years before, showed up at my door about 30 minutes after that phone call, my pool heater would not function correctly, so that made the spa unusable. He identified two or three potential problems immediately, he took his time and was very thorough in making they needed repairs and discovered, a small part from the inside of the filter, lodged against a temperature controlled device inside the heater manifold. In any case this company is extremely professional and customer service oriented, their pricing seems to be reasonable, especially when you factor in the accommodate my schedule, the quick and efficient response, and the high-quality repair, and even some to my existing equipment. I will definitely be calling Doctor Pool the next time I have a problem with my equipment. read more

My pool heater wasn't working for almost a month and Doctor Pool got it running and back to heating the same day! Don't waste your time calling anyone else. This is why: My Pentair pool heater wasn't turning on and I couldn't figure out why. I called out a pool repair company and they recommended I replace the membrane pad, which I did, but my pool heater still wasn't turning on. I then bought a new mother board but that didn't fix it, so I returned the mother board and called Doctor Pool. We set up a time in the week for him to come out and he arrived on time and went right to work. He identified the issue as my high limit sensor and verified it needed replacement. He picked up the new sensor, installed it that afternoon, and verified it fixed the issue (which it did) by waiting to make sure the pool temperature was rising. Will totally use him again if I ever need help. read more

Hired Dr Pool at recommendation of Leslie's pool. Worked for us about 1 years had several issues with our pool during that time like winds blowing leaves into pool, filter not working, valves working improperly. Every time we would contact them it would be crickets. Multiple phone calls/texts required for a response. Eventually issue would get resolved. This last time our heater went out and we were told (after several texts) it would be addressed after the holidays. Essentially ghosted is after that. Multiple calls and texts went unanswered. For weeks. Finally after sending our last text firing them we were told "sorry we couldn't resolve your issue". It's hard to find a good pool guy.
