You can sit at the counter and drink them - they have a cool opener that turns cans into big mouths! Very cool. Guy working was super knowledgeable about both beer and wine. So this is my third visit to Doctorbird. Met by Danielle with a Smile. She remembers me with me wife on our 1st visit. I have my bro-in-law and sis-in-law visiting next weekend. I love to enjoy our evenings with a great Charcuterie Plus Vino.... I was looking for a special wine and Tapenade. Danielle took her time with me, one on one. With her help, found the most exciting wine and accouterments for the board. This store is Awesome!!!! read more

Stopped in on a whim during the downtown car show. This spot is such a GEM! I didn't have much time to browse, but their selection of wines are unique and very well chosen for their taste and price point. Although I only had moments to browse, the owner was very friendly and helpful with my selections. I chose a rose vinted by a Belizean and was told he's the only Belizean winemaker in California.... It's delicious! They also offers tastings in a very comfortable setting with non-pretentious vibes! I will return for a longer visit next time! read more

Amazing shop, do not miss out! They carry the best wine, cheese, and beer in the area, but you wouldn't know from the prices. I visit regularly for their always changing craft beer fridge, but also stay to enjoy good company and friends at the bar. This last weekend they hosted a 4-course beer dinner that was phenomenal! Chef Danielle's up-scale take on her home favorites was a treat, especially when expertly paired with Headlands beers and Zane's creative alcohol free cocktails! The only negative thing I have to say about Doctorbird Market is that I don't live close enough to visit regularly. The selection of culinary treasures in the shop is a food enthusiast's dream. High quality, artisan products that are approachable and reasonably priced. Love their selection of unique beers including some with calamansi and kimchi, wine from small producers, pantry staples like seka hills olive oil, McEvoy ranch honey, Wineforrest wild foods polenta and risotto just to name a few. Owners Danielle and Zane have years of experience in the culinary/hospitality industry and bring that expertise to this special shop. The market is somewhat hidden on a side street but it is very well lit and tastefully decorated and organized. What a gem with such a variety of wine, chocolate, cooking books, items, specialty food products in a warm inviting atmosphere. I picked up some jam, chocolate, hatch chile popcorn(very delicious). It was a very brief visit but ill be back to get some wine and other items for the holidays. read more
