Piedmont surveyors Mr Burke…read more About 3 years ago I needed some of my property surveyed. I asked around, neighbors and within the county zoning department. Piedmont surveyors came highly recommended. I called and spoke with a nice person at Piedmont. They were out here in about two weeks (which was very fast) The Man and Women who came where very nice and professional. They did a great accurate job. It was a pleasure to leave a real, positive and sincere review. So about three months ago my neighbor and I started a "land swap/boundary line adjustment" We needed our properties surveyed for this boundary line adjustment. I knew exactly who to call. I called and spoke with the owner (Mr Burke) he informed me how busy all surveyors were at that time. About 3 weeks later he was here. He himself and the lady who did my first survey started surveying. While he was following our planned survey land swap plans he would kindly point out some things/give a little gentle advice from his massive experience from being a surveyor and dealing with the county. (Point being we probably had 3 or 4 stupid ass things in our land swap plans, and instead of saying "hey dumb ass this won't work" He gently steered me and correct things. Mr Burke accurately completed his survey marking everything perfectly. The county had a lot of comments restrictions and denials of my land swap plans. Mr Burke hung in there with us through all the changes, adjustments and questions from the county. I personally felt like he was part of our team the whole way. (And that meant a lot) I felt bad when I had to forward to him: letters, questions and or more changes that the county ordered. He clearly read my emails. And wrote back 10-4. Then I received the adjusted new plat very soon after. I would highly recommend Mr Burke/Piedmont surveyors. They are very good, professional and nice. (A rare combo now a days)

Bob came over on Saturday and completed an extensive survey complete with permanent and semi-permanent markers to trace the very unusual left-side property line of my house. Of note was he identified a property line issue where one of my neighbors has fencing over the property line. So glad he identified the issue as we're in the planning phase for erecting fencing. I'm a Fauquier County native, business owner & Pastor who personally thought I knew Jim Carson the owner. Jim has been around a long time, and I like him as a person. I hired his firm to provide me a major site plan to build a church in Marshall VA where I currently Pastor. Sadly, it's cost me 4 times the amount he agreed to and I'm currently on my 9th modification to the so-called "approved plan" he put his engineer stamp on. Now we are having major issues with finalizing the ADA sidewalks and parking locations. Jim nor his employees will now return calls, text, emails, etc. If you need anything done that requires an engineer approved drawing, I absolutely do not recommend using his company. Employees make or break a company and unfortunately several of Jim's employees are just grossly incompetent to say the least. I plan on pursuing this further with our legal counsel.

We recently purchased a rural property. Paper survey was provided but the property corners and…read morelines were not defined at the time of purchase. The neighbors seemed to have good ideas where the real boundaries were, but I wanted to be sure before I started making improvements to the property. Quote received very quickly and we were able to get on the schedule fairly quickly. Price point felt fair for the work. All hard pins found but one that had likely been damaged or removed from old farming on the land. The survey map and pins helped to find the missing corner. Flags posted to identify the lines and highlight the new found corner. Turns out one neighbor had given us more ground than what was actually ours. Feel very confident now where the barn and other improvements can go.
